Thank you my dear friend! I was abt to change the whole entire clutch. Will try changing the actuator, switching them to see if the problem its the actuator or maybe the TCM. Hugs from Dominican Republic ♥

Hey man. If the car is throwing shifter fork b position circuit and sift fork b 'calibration not learned', and not going into reverse, can I manually go counter clockwise on actuator B fork to reset it?? Hey Ben, first, thank you for all the videos and solutions you provide. I have a 2014 ford focus. I have a message transmission over heating on dash, p286f and p2872 codes. I swapped actuators from a to b and this didn't changed anything. Is this a tcm issue or clutch ? Tia
I didn't like your answer. 😊 thank you. That was the way I was leaning. The fork test was fine as well. Smooth on the return after the counter clockwise 14 turns.
I have code p287B shift fork calibration not learned and p2837 shift fork B position circuit. Should I swap the bottom for the top and see if the codes just pops up at P287? And where can I find that tool you used
Hey BIG BEN. Off the FOCUS TOPIC, I have a FORD Question for ya. We have a 2020 FORD Expedition XLT that has One side Headlight that is Kinda DIM compared to the Other side. Are these Bulb's Replaceable? You don't have to Buy the "Complete Assembly" Do Ya?? Thanks.
I have a 2018 ford focus and it started messing up today when I was driving today on the highway going 70 trying to speed up it wouldn’t pick up speed and the rpm would just shoot up slightly. Then the service transmission came on but when I got to work it went away . But now when I try to drive it will go forward but won’t pick up speed really and it won’t reverse anymore

@sttodd37 that seems to be a reoccurring question lately. Probably a tcm. But also check the grounds under the airbox and inspect for damaged wires going from the tcm to the upper actuator
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles so it seems like the ground was the issue. I took off the ground and sanded it to bare metal put it back together and it seems fixed. Retrained clutch and it’s working great. Apparently a bad ground connection can throw p2872 EC and p0783. Thanks for your videos.
In your experience, is it possible for the seal between the actuator motor and the fork to leak oil/debris onto the actuator motor causing it to go bad?
Only reason I ask is I have a 2018 Focus that already had warrantied repair on the transmission done back in 2022 at 20k miles. Here I am in 2024 only 15k later with more transmission related issues, following your videos and repair manuals, i feel that it is the motor that is the issue but upon removing the lower one, I see it’s different from the top one, and covered in some random oil/debris. No other signs of leaks anywhere
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles thank you for your confirmation! Surprised how quick the response was lol. So then I figure that means I should replace the full fork if I don’t wanna keep throwing new motors at it

@ws6705 hi, shift fork is different than clutch fork. You should replace the tcm. It's free at the dealer just call. Ends 6 2025
