Lyrics:
The number in nations
The god in their hearts
The justice in swine
The devil in god
Vote
This long hand that breaks our back
Still casting shadows on all that we see
Unjustified, mercy killing is just a feeling
To keep our numbers from being free
Prison for praise is not worth thinking
Sin is still in and our ballots are shrinking
So unleash the dogs - the only solution
Forgive and forget, fuck no
I'm talking about a revolution - เพลง
"Forgive and forget; FUCK NO! I'm talking about a revolution!"
One of the best lines in metal history
you can't fuckin' argue with that
Very relevant
Words of the fucking wise!
Let's go Brandon... am I right?
@@kevomyco4694 damn right
2024 anyone?
Fuck yeah... song seems more relevant now than ever
Replying to make the algorithm giveth COC to all
Yo
Yup...since 94...my ol man bought deliverance
Yes sir
Pepper Keenan is the most underrated artist in metal, and has been for the better part of thirty years.
A Southern American treasure.
With his arrival, the band became more musical, to say the least. It became more guitar oriented. And that's a good thing.
But this is rock music, not typical metal.
Very beey unique voice
except these lyrics are plagiarized from the graveyard rodeo singer ... drrrrr
@@backuptrolmaster8544 is that true??
@Kelly M I found that album only a few months ago and have been listening to it along with a lot of COC. It’s amazing !
A skateboard, My walkman, this on my mixtape, sandwiched between Mr Bungle, Primus, and Rage against the machine, no social media, cheap weed.....i miss the 90s
Mr bungle nice !
Egg
Mr Bungle!!!!
So do I, seems like we had a lot of these things that have suddenly become a problem again all worked out. Gen X for the win :)
Back when most shit was still a mystery.
“Politics is the control of wealth and power. You are being conditioned to condemn politics as petty and boring, thus granting all the more control to the powers that be.” -Corrosion of Conformity
And then COVID-19 came ...
@@frankryan8100 I think the more telling sign is that the "peaceful" protesters are the jack-boot thugs...
Also, really? "the rioting aspect"? Wake up!
Today's protests aren't real... they're less about protest and more about lazy, delinquent, young Americans, without a cause, exploiting any situation they find.
Like the guy said.. "No work shoes, tools or books have been looted!" Posers All!!!
@@2ubtrue At last, someone who's seeing the reality of the so-called protests! Hear, hear!
Love these guys...strong powweful....enigmatic....right voice right riffs....been on coc since 1994. You can bet your ass.
@Darth Bane the "peaceful protestors" are useful idiots to the radical left (useless to normal people) who are willing to die (well, not really) fighting for what they were told to believe. BLM and Antifa are radical marxist leftist domestic terror organizations that have brainwashed millions. They are brave when it's 10 of them on one guy, but in reality they are a bunch of pussies.
STILL SO RELEVENT IN 2024! Never more relevant, tbh...... Love this band!
Song still has one of the most brutal and dark intros ive ever heard on a metal track, everything combined with the drums, sludge sounding guitar tone and his shrieking screams...goosebumps
Check out into the static by after the burial
Would you believe that 99% of this song is written with a blues scale? Its one of my favorites to play cuz this song goes hard as fuuuuck
fr most metal songs missing the point of metal these days, I blame trap
Try 3teeth
I cant help but wonder how many people from the 90s realize that C.O.C. started out as a hardcore punk band in the early to mid 80's. Either way its all good. They played what they wanted to and didnt give a shit about what others were doing. They showed that they could play multiple styles from punk and hardcore to grunge to hard edged southern rock and metal.
Yep They sure did as did Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and a few others Suicidal Tendencies the most recognizable name but there were some who turned New Wave or MOD was our word for them.....Thanks man I haven't thought about this stuff in Years
@@NawtyDawg True
A friend recently said COC started as a Christian band but I have a hard time seeing that. Anyone here know?
Technocracy was one of the first cassettes i ever owned. wore the hell out of it.
Probably 7.3 billion.
Just discovered these guys! Was loaded in the hard drive in a used Dodge Challenger I just bought.... clean my wounds got me paying attention. These guys are good...
Had a truck stolen years ago. Truck had a AM/FM/CD radio that wouldn't eject Tool's 'Aenima' (of all the CDs that could have been the last one to go in before it broke- I was okay with that selection).
...years later Twenty One Pilots released 'Car Radio' and that was the only time I've ever wished it had been a different CD.
I can think of no better album to be left in a Challenger for the next owner
This is like a line out of a sci fi movie - this stuff was vinyl cd and cassette, nobody normal had portable hard drives back then.
@@weareallbeingwatched4602 I should clarify, 2013 dodge challenger with a full GPS infotainment system. I don’t have my 1970 challenger or my 1973 charger or my 1974 road runner any longer and honestly I like this 2013 much better. Although the modern value of those cars🫣
Good is an understatement.
Glad you found them. Important band.
C.o.C rules 🤘
There is no substitution for good metal. This song is one off the hallmarks.
+Stephen Trager Darth Nihilus is that you?
correction: good hardcore band.
COC ain't no fucking metal band.
+shitmasterson you can't tell me this isn't metal
post hardcore all the way. call what you will. COC exists above and beyond the laws of the metal gods. hail satan.

One of THE must underrated metal bands ever. Rock on boys. 🤘🏻
I would call them more of a hard rock/progressive style band rather than metal. COC's music isn't that metal in my opinion.
@@TheBridgesYouBurn What are you smoking?
@@TheBridgesYouBurnSouthern, progressive/ sludge METAL!
They're not even close to metal... Unless you don't listen to metal lol
Nothing underrated about them. They have like a few vids with over 10 mil views.
This is the most underrated bands ever. More people need to talk about this band
Stroke It Former band member?
Stroke It if you think they suck then why are you here???
akeno himejima because unfortunately people are sad enough talk about how much they dislike stuff rather than enjoy the stuff they don’t dislike. “Stroke it” being one of these dudes.
We did. In the early '80s.
@Greetings Death Says the one who contracted the Corona-Virus...
Comes in handy every four years
😂
Heard this song in a friends shop yesterday, and just had to know what it was. How this band remained under my radar for all this time is seriously bugging me. This is fucking massive.
Very massive 🤘
Just read the lyrics to this despite hearing it thousands of times and dear god they are more relevant than ever. I think about this every election. I saw them play this once at Psycho Las Vegas in 2017 and the crowd went nuts. Great song.
Saw them open for Megadeth in 91-92 & again for Metallica again in 97
R.I.P Reed Mullin.
@@go_rizzo_grow ...so does tool guy.

Music simply doesn’t get better than this.
There is only two classifications when it comes to music in my mind and it doesn't matter what genre. It is simply, "there is that that rocks, and that that doesn't" It's not better but it fucking rocks check out Independent, by Sacred Reich if you haven't already heard it. If I had to say one song epitomized "that that rocks" it would be "Crawling". And to complete the rest of that phrase the epitome of "that that doesn't" I would point to any of morrissey's auditory turds.
Yes there is.
I don't know. There is Sacred Reich.
Yoooo, you from HTX?
@@marioncarbonell6047 yeah, that's where I'm from
RIP Reed. Thank you for making a perfect album.
This album is waaaaaaaaay underrated, still in my collection and I listen to it and bang my head
Blind is a classic album....so good
doing the same thing right now brother
Damn really can’t believe reed passed away I’ve grown up with COC and I got to see them with my dad when they went on tour with black label society and that was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen Rees Mullen was kicking so much ass and as a drummer who’s been playing drums since I was 3 seeing one of my biggest idols was truly a experience I will never forget and hold deep within my heart thank you Reed. Rest In Peace 🤘🤘

The heaviest and best album COC ever put out. This entire album is a masterpiece from start to finish.

I feel like it is somehow their most overlooked as well. sad.

Man, just got hooked back into some C.O.C. Used to throw this tune and Clean My Wounds and of course a bunch of other tunes) in the CD player when we got a Priority One run in the ambulance back in the day. Of course, we adhered to all applicable traffic laws. But flying down the street with lights an siren going, and some Metal pumping, was killer! Miss those days.

+PGeorge61 Make sure you check out Down half Pantera half C.O.C. freakin' awesome \m/\m/
This is from when I was in high school. Still sounds amazing almost thirty years later 🤘
Same here. Was one of my favorite songs
90's metal was prophetic to the world of today's slaves.
Yeah. Like Sepultura.
I love metal bands from 80s-00s.
They were not prophetic, this is a critic of the society and political system of their time, wich are the same that today
@@Eyessetonthehorizon
It still is depending on what you listen to.
Actually the 60's, 70's and 80's were the metal prophets.
Rest in peace Reed. You played so great on No Cross, No Crown. This bro will miss you. Much love.
Opened for them on their Blind tour. First big band I opened for. Also my first show I went to when I was sixteen. Two words, STAYING POWER!

“The party that leans upon the workers but serves the bourgeoisie, in the period of the greatest sharpening of the class struggle, cannot but sense the smells wafted from the waiting grave.”
And yet, there's something wrong about Lenin's violence against the narods. I'd be fine with a Kronstadt rebellion right about now. I didn't shed a tear for Minneapolis's third precinct.

Amen. I've heard this song a million times but just listened for the first time with my Grado headphones and it was insane. The riffage sawed into my brain and the bass was gargantuan. This shit does not get old. Fire up up a blunt, throw this on the stereo and then a Godzilla movie on the big screen. Take my a$$ back to a simpler time in 1992.

I bet when they recorded it they must have looked at each other and started going.. This is heavy as shit!
Ayy well said lmao
Fuck Yes.
Yeah, man, they've come up with a perfect climax for this song. One of the finest and heaviest riffs I have ever heard since I started listening to heavy music in the 90's. When I listen to this in my car, I can't help putting the volume to maximum and accelerating my machine.
I guarantee Rob/White Zombie listened to this tune a lot back in the day! Has a "Thunderkiss '65" vibe
Interesting comparison! White Zombie was already doing their thing, but it does have a similar groove.
Now more than ever, thank you COC
