    If you could make a video on it.
    Thank you.

    • @BerkKaplanDesigner

      Designers don't use blueprints to model cars. Because the goal is putting your own ideas into 3D, not copying existing cars :) This is why I prepared my 3D modelling course if you want to see all the details: www.berkkaplan.com/courses/blenderbeginners

    • @abirsarkar7075

      @@BerkKaplanDesigner then if a designer sketches a car how does does he put it into a blueprint with those exact measurements?
      Do they model the concept cars and then scan it into paper?

    • @BerkKaplanDesigner
      @BerkKaplanDesigner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@abirsarkar7075 car designers don't prepare production models. we get engineering package and measurments more or less, then design close to it, also model close to it; not super precise. Because later production 3d modellers rebuild everything and it is long process. They spend months to prepare model for production :)

    I am a first year student in mechanical engineering. I really love car designing and I am interested to learn designing using softwares. So I want to ask would it be beneficial for me to learn this software in terms of career opportunities in future or should I opt for different software?

    • @williammonteleone6417
      @williammonteleone6417 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Car design and product style is mostly done by industrial designers. Mechanical engineers figure out how to bring those ideas to life as functional parts and assemblies that really work, and can be manufactured. I’m an ME, and I work with Industrial Designers, but our roles are different. The best thing you can do at your age is to figure out which is your passion. If you like artistry, drawing, and concept work you may prefer ID. If you like technical work, math, physics, and manufacturing, engineering is more your path. If you become skilled at both, you’re extra valuable. And yes, Blender is awesome. Learn it, and have fun.

    interesting but what is the workflow to go to production to exact size. I want to do some car parts, but blender is nice, but It'sn't made for that, so you do in blender and import in solidworks ? or directly do it in solidworks taking 10X much time ? what would be a realist workflow for a person not for an industry with unlimited budget. Thanks. I have a licence of solidworks. And yes maybe alias is the bridge between blender and solidworks. But yes more budget friendly solution ? maybe 3d sculptor from solidworks thanks

    • @BerkKaplanDesigner

      Hi, I start any design project with Blender (I mean for the 3D phase). And later if I will need to work on production 3D, I import my model from Blender as reference. It is important, you can only use as reference.. Then basically you start modelling from zero with any software you want but the point is now you know what to model exactly. Because you have your design done in Blender and still can import as reference..
