Brotherr, you me through this repair, thanks for the walk through. I had previously done this same repair to an Iphone XR and that was a walk on the park compared to this thing. That damn battery adhesive is tricky, if it wasn't for the alcohol tip i would have given up and taken it to a repair shop.
Glad I was able to help
Good job and good camera
Thank you
Does this repair require any special calibration or Apple diagnostics (AST2)?
Luckily no
Do you have to remove the battery in this repair? Is it necessary or does it just give you more room?
Thanks
Unfortunately making room isn’t really an option. One of the flex fits underneath the battery hence the necessity to remove:(
i have just successfully did the repair without removing the battery @@repaironwheels
how do you record your videos? Doesn't the camera get in the way of your hands/arms??
There is a an adjustable arm with a MagSafe mount attachment for my iphone. Sits about 14 inches above the subject. I don’t feel it’s the best set up. But it works for now
Hi, i have a question. I just replaced my battery because it was dying quick, now i got a really goot battery that goes all day, but a problem is it is charging really super slowly, im using the 20w fast charger from iphone.. if i use the normal charger it will maybe charge up 1% in 7/8 minutes. and with the fast charger fully in 2-3 hours. What could be the problem?
Does it charge any differently on a wireless charger
So glad apple made the process of replacing a port that’s design is not only flawed but could have and should have died a quiet death 7 years ago but by all means keep the crap port on the one device that that I often plug/unplug 20-30 times a day several days a week for 1-2 years. Glad my Apple TV remote of all products can now use the same cord all of my other apple/other products use.
Ya. They definitely kept that going a few years too long
Hey man i just replaced what you did in this video because my microphone would not pick up any noise. It will record on my camera but fails to pick up noise on snapchat as well as no voice on a phone call. Everything went in well no issues but the microphone is still not working. Iphone 12 pro max.
Try voice memos. Does it pick up your voice
After that try Siri or recording a video with your front facing camera
I'm having the same problem any solution
Could you confirm if "rubbing alcohol" is isopropanol? The term "rubbing alcohol" is not used in the UK and I only vaguely remember the term from when I lived in NY for a time over 40 years ago. As someone with a chemistry degree, if it's some other chemical, I will understand the chemical name and know what to buy.
Isopropyl alcohol
91 or 99%. Don’t use 70%
Are there any cellular antennas near the charging port? I was fixing my back glass and i nicked one of the ribbon cable near the bottom left (if looking from the rear back glass) , now its showing No Service but wifi and bluetooth is working thanks!
after carefully rewatching, I believe i nicked the microphone ribbon cable.
Does it read your SIM card If you take out the sim does it say no sim
@@repaironwheelsIt does not read my sim. Without a sim card, it is saying No Service, continuously looking for a signal.
@Alex-tx1gl were you using a glass breaker
@Alex-tx1gl the kind you press down and it cracks the glass. Like a center punch
@@repaironwheels yeah unfortunately i did use one near the camera and a bit near where the logic board would be facing
Is there any way I can leave the sim tray alone & untouched?
that would be kinda difficult as the flex sits underneath it, also its only 2 screws and a flex. whats the reasoning behind trying to avoid it?

Thank you! It took time, but I was able to get it done finally.
How much do you charge in replacing the charging part? So, I would have an idea at my local repair shop.
As of this comment, im charging 109 for this repair
Charge port I ordered doesnt come already with the ribbons already folded 😪
Nor did it come with the gasket on the microphone part of the port
Unfortunately that’s the way most come. Where did you order it from
Injured gadgets they got a physical store 15 min away from me
Is that an OEM charging port? I’m having trouble finding one
If you’re in the us I’d be happy to sell you one
My 12pro max charges from the wall but is not recognized by a computer or Apple car play
Have you tried replacing the port
If it’s not that it’s most likely a logic board issue
No not yet I want to find reputable shops to do the fix :/ don’t wanna end up with have missing screws etc
I’m here in San Antonio
I do mail ins assuming you can be without the phone for a few days. My number is (760) 963-4948
rate the difficulty /10. Tired of using the wireless charger going to replace on my own
How much experience do you have repairing phones?
@@repaironwheels 4-5/10 repaired somethings but nothing as intricate as this. just tired of the wireless charger LMAO
The most difficult part is pulling the screen off without damaging the oled. After that it’s not that bad
Overall, I’d say a 6 or 7
