Thanks for the video, I'll be replacing my charging port soon as my phone only charges at a certain agnel, good thing I have a charging pad. I tried cleaning it but that didn't work, I can't play music via cord or charge my phone on the road and it's really frustrating.

Thanks again for another excellent tutorial. Was able to do the repair without issue. I did however use the heat, suction, plus iso method instead of prying for display removal. For the battery did the twirl twirl twirl.. lol..

I have a video on how to swap the port on an iPad Pro 12.9 3/4th gen. 3/4/5/6 are pretty similar. The hardest thing is removing the screen. After that it’s a few screws to get to sim tray flex

Refitting the display, you dont add any adhesive but it still retains its integrity and flush look?

The screen sits flush, new gasket or not
I’m not entirely convinced that anything will return the factory integrity. That being said I’ll replace it if the customer wants me to. I’m also aware that the majority of viewers won’t so I don’t bother in the video

The older a device gets the weaker the bond gets in between the glass and bezel. I’m seeing of lot of bezel separation on 12 series. Using a suction cup is an almost guaranteed way to damage the screen/oled. I’m well aware that Apple uses suction to remove the screen but the method I use is far more versatile. Wether the glass is cracked or the bezel is starting to separate or if the screen is totally fine

At this point I’ve done several hundred iso only no heat so it’s kind of an impatience thing, If it feels remotely difficult I’ll use heat but 90%+ don’t

@@repaironwheels another Q, I had my girl's lcd/glass replaced on her ipad pro 12.9" 3rd gen but since then the apple ipencil no longer works, only the aftermarket pencils work on it. Took it back to the shop they said it needs to be replaced with a Genuine Apple lcd for the ipencil to work is that correct or did they just do a bad job..

that sounds like bs to me. i know the newer ipad pros need proper calibration for the apple pencil to work properly but i dont belive that is an issue on the 12.9 3rd gen
