Check out another case where detectives must deal with two bloodlust serial killers on the loose. One killer targets vulnerable young women, while the other targets helpless elderly ladies in care homes. Watch the compelling use of forensic science to catch the killers here: th-cam.com/video/hfxiy6Pz2xk/w-d-xo.html

Anyone who's ever lost someone to foul play will definitely want to see such monsters get caught ! Until a killer is caught and imprisoned, you live as though stuck in amber, mentally and emotionally. Like suspended animation.

In the early 80’s my little sister lived in Bakersfield California and she was murdered. It has never been solved and no one seems to be interested in it and so it’s awesome that these families have closure. I wished my mom who is now 86 would get the same closure. She had three little kids and they were raised without their mama.

People in general also used to do their jobs better back then. Today workers act like the public or customers are in their way. And still expect to be paid. The customer is always wrong now. And don't expect anyone to learn things adjacent to their jobs. Like what their coworkers do, or supplemental skills.

This tells you how important it is if you see something say something. Few days ago I saw on the news that in California a woman run away from her abductor, she was there several months before she escape, the saddest thing is that as the detectives where investigating a neighbor said she had heard a female crying at night. The neighbor didn’t call no one. I rather be called nosy then to know someone was in danger and I didn’t alert the police.

My Uncle was a Senior Detective here in Australia, and when I was a teen he advised me not to follow that career path.
When I grew older, I came to understand why he had said this.
Some of the cases he was involved in were deeply disturbing, including that of a local 10-year-old girl who was kidnapped through her bedroom window one night in the 80s.
I was about 13 and clearly remember the fear in the community for quite some time; the constant news updates and the media reports.
The case eventually went cold, but my Uncle continued to work it for many years before he retired. He built strong ties with the family of the missing girl over this time, and he found it difficult not to be able to give them the answers they sought.
The emotional and mental impact of these kinds of cases on him was significant. He said you never forget the details. He eventually retired to take a position running a charity.
This particular case wasn't solved until about 10 years ago (so around 30 years overall) with advancements in DNA, but her body has never been found.
It sickened me to discover this wasn't the perpetrator's first offence, and he had raped and murdered 2 other boys as well - that we know of, anyway.
He was sentenced to 35 years back in 2016, on top of the life sentence he was already serving. He must be in his 70s now, if he's still with us...
The ripple effects of this case were huge, and it's stuck with me my whole life.

To keep yourself & your friends & family safe the best thing is to learn about Narcissistic Personality Disorder in detail. Get to know the characteristics, the patterns of behaviour, the ways they draw people in & also learn about psychopathy. Equip yourself to notice the signs. Learn well & you may save your life or others.
If you want to do more, spread your knowledge, talk to friends about these conditions, offer to talk to groups about them. Write to your political representative, drawing their attention to the problem & pointing out the neccesity to take action to reduce the incidence of these conditions.
Also start to notice the effects of these conditions within politics, the effects on individuals & policies.

I'd never really wondered before whether cadaver dogs can distinguish human remains from other animal remains, but the "misses" the dogs had in the first story prompted me to look it up. I'm not surprised to learn that they can distinguish human remains, but it's cool to know! They can also detect where a body has been but was moved, which likely explains why they hit on those spots but got no results. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't already know all this!

I once went to get a Subway sandwich and found the door unlocked. All of the fixings were put away but when I called out no one responded.
I called police and then heard nothing more.
Several day later I went back and I asked the girl working the counter. She asked if I was the one who had called the police and when said I was, the girl said she had been told to give me a free sandwich.
The person closing the store had just forgotten to lock the door. But I got a free sandwich so cool.

I grew up in Costa Mesa, CA and am near the age of Denise Huber. I remember driving on the Corona Del Mar freeway in the summer of 1991 and seeing her name and photograph on a billboard, and feeling so concerned about her, hoping she would be found to be alright very soon. But, to my dismay, the billboard notice was still there nine months later! I had basically lost hope because of this length of time, but still wanted to know if she had been found at some point in the future. From time to time throughout the years I still wondered occasionally about her situation, so I was surprised, more than a full 20 years later, to see this same show on tv. I never imagined it would be so bad as this! I do know that Jesus Christ took her into his loving arms and comforted her upon her death! I also know she’s with him to this day in the spirit world, awaiting her parents to join her, if they haven’t already.
