I have been getting into Mega Man lately, man i fell so in love with Mega Man 3... But truthfully, there is so much in the Mega Man series already, that you don't need more, and they still hold up.
Look, I know people don't like the word mega man's dead, but at that time, when all those games got canceled. Yes, it was technically dead. Even capcom themselves said they didn't know what to do with mega man. That was way before mega man 11. Just because we had mega man 11 and it's sold well, doesn't mean they're still not wrong. During covid a lot of projects where put on hold Again not only that but the New person in charge of future Mega man projects. Left the company. Hammering down more that mega man is going to be left behind again. So yes, the fans can keep something alive. But if a company is not continuing it yes, it is dead. You can make all the fan games you want and spiritual successors in the end of the day. It is a company to decide if they want to continue. The series hence why people are saying it is dead because we have not had a new game since 11. Gotcha games and collections don't count. Those are cash grabs. They do not count.😂

I'm a MM2 speedrunner (with LOTS of rust, lmfao), and this franchise has been right at the very top of the list of stuff that got my blood pumpin' as a kid. 30+ years later, and it's still got loads to offer. And the fan games you showcased are absolute FIRE. Rock & Roll and Unlimited are brutally difficult, but feel great to play, and have OSTs that rival anything Capcom has put out. These fans have put so much love and sauce into those games... But imagine if you had THIS song with the video: *"Mega Man" by Psychostick (cover of "Magic Man" by Heart)* th-cam.com/video/naogC9vl2cU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NXkJzj8Ix-NTa9IC
Glad you liked it! Thank you for helping keep the fan base alive long enough to pass the torch to my dumb ass in the 2010s. I remember really wanting a mega man unlimited shirt when I was playing it in highschool. Cheers, hope mega man lasts the entirety of 20XX
The core of this entire franchise was passion and creativity from the start. One of its most iconic games (Mega Man 2) was a passion project from the devs, and a good chunk of the robot masters we know and love were created by fans. This franchise is far from dead, especially when we continue to share that passion and creativity that brought it to life in the first place.
That's one of the reasons I am a fan; there's a HUGE amount of Mega Man games to play, and a ton of fan games and spiritual spinoffs as well. I still want Mega Man X9 though.
mega man may not be getting much attention from capcom, but it's fanbase keeps growing and will keep growing because of all the fangames and projects. the community is what kept me in touch with the series.I will say, the mega man fanbase is probably the best examples of a good fanbase. (though I know we arent all perfect)
I am a fan of capcom, and next to street fighter Megaman is one of my favorite franchises of capcom, it is incredible the amount of games that this one has I have been able to enjoy without prejudice of all its games. it is incredible to see that with so much game that MM has a part of the fandome loves to vicitimisarce saying that it is the most forgotten franchise of capcom. Looking forward to the new merch and games that capcom will bring of megaman in the future, since we all know that megaman will be with us for years to come.
Yeah to me both Street Fighter and Mega Man are the true face of Capcom. Resident Evil is a close second. The Marvel series i associate with Street Fighter so that's all the fighting games. Same for Darkstalkers. Dino Crisis goes with Resident Evil. Power Stone for sure is third place. Then there's also the Devil May Cry series. Then there's the Disney Capcom games that needs an updated collection.
The Protomen - Built to Last, its the hidden boss song of that band, it isnt anywhere online officially anymore. Good luck, zoning is tricky on ultimate!
There's also that FMV game on the Saturn. Also there's Mega Man on Game Gear. There's the Game Boy series. Then there's also the Sega Genesis Sega game as well as the fanmade Genesis remake of Mega Man IV.
@@MacUser2-il2cx The mega man game boy series IS Rockman World (that's what it's called in Japan). Also, you're right, he missed quite a few games. (NO MEGA MAN SOCCER???)

But imagine if you had THIS song with the video:
*"Mega Man" by Psychostick (cover of "Magic Man" by Heart)*

Glad you liked it! Thank you for helping keep the fan base alive long enough to pass the torch to my dumb ass in the 2010s. I remember really wanting a mega man unlimited shirt when I was playing it in highschool. Cheers, hope mega man lasts the entirety of 20XX
@@skippy7552 - I see what you did there... 😏
That feeling when no new games announced, just rehash that’s been growing mold in the back of the fridge.
Megachad Hopeposting worldwide
The core of this entire franchise was passion and creativity from the start. One of its most iconic games (Mega Man 2) was a passion project from the devs, and a good chunk of the robot masters we know and love were created by fans. This franchise is far from dead, especially when we continue to share that passion and creativity that brought it to life in the first place.
Very well edited video! Thanks for sharing this with us.
We don't have a new game since 2018, but... I want to believe. I want to have hope.
Hey, Metroid finally came back, whos to say the Rock isn't cooling either? All it takes is some patience
These mfs want a new game every few years let them cook! Plenty old stuff to revisit and new stuff to enjoy i dont feel the hurry
The song choice, the editing, everything is perfect. This is peak anti doomposting Mega Man content
What a great edit. Thank you for this
That's one of the reasons I am a fan; there's a HUGE amount of Mega Man games to play, and a ton of fan games and spiritual spinoffs as well.
I still want Mega Man X9 though.
Ty for injecting some hope into the MM community 😉
I FEEL PROUD OF BEING A MEGA MAN FAN IN 2024!!!
Thank you for doing this, we all needed it
Holy fucking shit, I love this so much
Ty!
mega man may not be getting much attention from capcom, but it's fanbase keeps growing and will keep growing because of all the fangames and projects. the community is what kept me in touch with the series.I will say, the mega man fanbase is probably the best examples of a good fanbase.
I've been here since '90 and I gotta tell ya; The fan base is the most dedicated force in the gaming community.
I never knew how much I needed this video. Thank you
Screw you, Crapcom, Mega Man is infinitely better than Street Fighter.
i love how you put some of max's reactions in there. he is the biggest capcom fan ever and he deserves to be in the video
this series lives!
The series only dies when you let it, so as long as we keep loving it and hoping and MAKING, our Mega Men will keep on rocking!
We are indeed eating good, MegaMan DOESN'T die!
Yo what is the song and WHY IS IT SO FIRE! This gave me motivation to still use Mega Man in smash, thank you for keeping out blue bomber alive!
The Protomen - Built to Last, its the hidden boss song of that band, it isnt anywhere online officially anymore. Good luck, zoning is tricky on ultimate!
That was me watching capcom next expecting to see my boy Rock... I still have faith though.
MMX8: "Hey! DX"
One of the best edits I’ve seen. I love Mega man so much!!!!!!!!!!
We all ask ourselves whether this series is dead or not
Awesome. (you forgot Rockman World tho)
I was still editing when that direct came out, wish I had more room to fit it. I liked Battle and Fighters a lot too that was the best handheld game
One of the greatest montages i've ever seen...
I know we been having stuff, but nothing actually new or what I personally desire: a Megaman y damn 3D already.
Side scrollers just keep newcomers away from the bomber because they are not used to it and probably will never risk-buy to something they probably end hating due to the also high game difficulty.
