An extra tip - make sure not to force the screen out. If it feels like you are applying too much pressure to get it out, then you are. Make sure it's already pretty loose from the adhesive before trying to lift it out. Good luck!
Actually helped quite a bit. Dunno how I didn't assume twisting was the key to removing the screen. If you're wondering, I was trying to install an IPS screen into my OEM shell. I succeeded.
You must have applied too much force . Instead , make sure that the adhesive is loose , you can do so with blowing hot air from a blow dryer if I'm not wrong

Does it just push back in or is glue needed
Short and to the point, thanks bud
Incredibly helpful. Thank you so much to making this!
Glad it was helpful!
That was easier then I imagined, thanks
Absolutely!
awesome vid, straight to the point without a bunch of filler.
One guestion tho, how do you remove the protective screen from the shell?
Wow, thanks. Much easier than I thought it'd be. Other videos had guys using boxcutters and heat guns, lol.
None of that here 😎
Thanks a bunch for this! As a big guy, I should have gone with the gorilla method, but I over thought it. This video was REALLY appreciated!
Thank you!! It worked for me. I’m saying that I still have to put it back and see if it works.

Yea it’s the easiest way I know of. Enjoy the backlight mod!
really helpful ty :)
Anything I need to worry about when replacing?
Just be careful! If you twist too hard to get the screen out, the shell could crack
@@vetrogaming thanks! I’m buying a new shell for my gbc and getting better at modding! You helped me a ton! Thanks!😁
I broke my screen doing this
