You know your old when you recognise the places and the cars
Great City great People. 😎 🇬🇧
Great city great people 🏴🇮🇪
Except for the social engineers & town planners. What a disaster. A lesson in how to destroy a city then just walk away without any responsibility or culpability for creating a socialist wasteland.
Brilliant, just brilliant, brought tears to my eyes 😢
Thank you! A very moving collection ❤🏴
Great wee video. TY
Fantastic and thanks for these amazing pics
Beautifully done video. ✔
Thank u 🙏🏻
Amazing
Glasgow ‘ the centre of the universe ‘.
3:30 I wonder what became of the girl with the scuffed knee...?
I actually find the 4 story tenement blocks quite beautiful in their own way - probably cos I never had to live in them - but Im sure we could have renovated them rather than pull them down and build concrete crap...
Excellent.
The shot of Betty's Bar brought back some fond memories. It does not exist anymore.
It looked very cool, very old world down by the River sort of vibes, love it 🏴
Rminds Me So Much Like The Eatly Days Of Edinburgh, Where Are Some Pictures Building The Two QUEENS would Have Been Nice To See The in Their Early Stage But Thank You For The Pics 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love looking at the old and some not so old, pictures of Glasgow. I can remember having to walk home from Pollok to Penilee via Govan as I had lost my bus fare home - took me hours. We had recently moved and I only knew the bus route home. Govan was losing all its old buildings and shops at the time so it was quite creepy but also really sad that the once vibrant shopping area was losing its character. The shopping centre they put up was crap in comparison. I went to see "Grease" in the old cinema at the cross getting sweets from the wee shop across the road. I feel really old now! 😢
Ow u have my house in the image on anniesland road thats cool!
Thank you❤️
You're welcome, thank you for your appreciation 🤍
In my mind in Glasgow it’s always rainy
Because I'm free, nothings worrying me 🌧🎶
Glasvegas
Wheres the picture of all the mainly wan and kids standing outside their house?
Brilliant photos. Goldmine for historians & the like & also just average people.
Thank you! The photo of the kids with one on bike and one in glasses? That's in Govan, Taransay Street with Fairfield Shipyard in background ✔️
@Urban Expeditions it's the one with women all lined up in a row beneath a house. There's steps to go out to the house and kids are also on the steps above them. I think an older woman on the right is wearing an apron or something similar.

Some were definitely not photos.
Yes I included a mixture of visuals, paintings and artists represtations.
Big deal. Why does that bother you. All images are valid here.
You know old is coming when u start to see things that amazed u when you young doesn’t even raise a eyebrow
A few more locations would have been useful.
OK.
