    I'm pretty sure this is an 02 right? I've got the exact same truck same color and everything but looks nothing like it
    My Trucks got 658k on the original motor

      Yup this is a 2002 with sunfire red pearl paint, but holy crap that's a ton of miles!! I love hearing that though, I'm still only sitting at around 223k. Thanks for watching - Sal

    I have an 03 in the same color. I like the size of the 1st gen Tundra its an in between size. You’re doing a great job on your truck. I like the wheel and tire size combo as well. The paint looks awesome a lot better than mine. Thanks for posting, I’m looking forward for new vids on the Tundra.

      Thank you Jerry, I agree that these trucks are a great in between size. Thanks for watching! - Sal

    literally one of the cleanest tundras i've seen. Excited for the weather to warm up so i can put some work into making mine look as good. Love the channel!

    Love your truck and really appreciate your channel. Just got one after years of searching for a clean one.
    Can you tell me how you treated the trim on your fender flares, bed caps as well as the rubber seals on your windows? Also, are your fender flares stock?

    • @JDMDriveway
      @JDMDriveway  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man! I have been really trying to find a good treatment for the flares and trim on the bumpers, but I have had very little luck getting one that will actually absorb into the plastics. As for the rubber, I haven't been treating it in the past, but I recently picked up some 303 aerospace protectant which should help protect from UV rays. The flares are stock, and I will be sure to update the channel if I find a good solution for the plastics! Thanks for watching

    Which was the pad you used that was more effective in taking out the scratches? The Harbor Freight micropad?

    • @JDMDriveway
      @JDMDriveway  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I used a griots microfiber cutting pad and that was way better than the foam pads. I've learned a lot since this video and to my understanding, the microfiber pads are better for the initial cut to get the scratches out and get the paint to 90%. Then the foam pad and polish gets you that shine in the last 10%. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

    Great job bro! Your inspiring me to do this to an old Toyota I have! Great truck BTW! 1st Gen Tundras are some of the best trucks period.

      Thank you! It’s definitely a rewarding process, a bit more work than I was expecting but pretty fun to do! And I agree, FGTs are some of the best trucks you can get for the money. Thanks for watching! - Sal

    Your truck looks new from the factory at this point. Great job taking pride in it and continuing to improve it. I never thought i would own one of these trucks and now somehow own 2. They are tanks compared to any modern cars which I've grown to respect more and more over time.

    Hey Sal, is your truck Salsa Red Pearl?

    • @JDMDriveway
      @JDMDriveway  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there, my truck is actually sunfire red pearl. It was offered from 00-02. Salsa red pearl replaced this color in 03 through 06. Very similar but subtly different. Thanks for watching! - Sal
