Thank you for your video... I have a 2000 4runner & I kept the old heating element and just glued the new mirror only to it and the backing to the plastic... works great without having to pay the extra for the heated sideview mirror replacement!
My mirror thst is broken just has directional gadget inside to slant mirror. Mirror is cracked can I just remove broken mirror clean the backing plate while still attached wait till it dries than install new mirror over backing plate thst is still attached?
HELP PLEASE I have the same mirror mechanism on my 2000 Honda Passport and it was flopping around so I tried to pop the glass out and it would not. Then I saw your video and realized that there is a screw under the glass in the middle. How can i fix the loose spring causing the floppy problem without breaking the mirror?
Hey guy where can i just buy a passenger side heated mirror glass, like the 1 you did on the vidieo?i dont need all the harware just the mirror/ glass for a 2002 lincoln town car? Thnx buddy
You did this video 5 fkn yrs ago?!! It only took you 5 yrs ?!! Im on yra 10 and just finished by man handling 5he damn thing very strong addesive and a few minor self made clips 😂 seriously took me a damn hr maybe more measing with this thing,, long story short ....i assumed those2 plastic green arm rotating peices where press fit..didnt even think they come off thabks guy
Bad design. I have hyundai entourage. Mirror is not broken. Just the defrost not working. It may be just a corroded connection and i have to break the mirror just to get to the connection. Very poor engineering. Also, you may want to check things are working before you adhere the mirror. It would suck if the heater wasnt working and you had to pull it back off to check connection. They should have wired the connection all the way through the door panel.

What glue did you use to do this? I'm going to try to do that myself.
Nice job 👍
Would it be a good idea to heat the mirror up first then take off the glass bits ?
Nice video, helpful.
But I wouldn't suggest wearing latex gloves as being protective gear when working worn broken glass😉
I have a '99 toyota as well, where did you get just the replacement glass for a heated side mirror?
Good video
do you happen to have the part number for this heated mirror/glass? struggling to find where I can buy a replacement.
