I felt your pain when the bolt snapped, and is the main reason i don't use a torque wrench on small bolts. Great channel, and a great job of bringing the deauville back to a usable life. Iove my Deauville ( 21 years old ) and wouldn't part with her. I've added a new bike to the stable, so she doesnt get used as much ( although she was summer use only anyway ). Take care sir.

Thanks very much it's appreciated Bob. They are a very underrated bike in my opinion

@@biker1k Overtightening in the past may well have been why this bolt sheared off, so using a torque wrench of the right size is always a good idea

Wondering if you can figure this out? Purchased second hand 2 wheels with very good tyres while I save for some new ones. Put the front on with my original break disc and now the wheel won't turn?

I'm assuming 1st of all they are the same size wheels.
2nd have u put all spacers in correctly
3rd have you refitted the axle nuts to the correct torque setting
4th have you fitted the caliper and pads correctly with anti rattle plates in correctly
I would remove the pads and see if it turns then. If it does your problem is in the brake dept
If not I would go back thru the torque settings and double check them and all spacers etc.
Let me know how u get on fella
