I'm glad that on this video we can express our opinion without being banned and ridiculed.
Nice to see a slight glimpse of Snow White herself in there and the queen, however would have liked and expected more!!
This, overall, WAS FRIKKIN AWESOME. The dwarves were good, but what got me real amazed was the hag animatronic! SHE LOOKS SO REAL, ITLL SCARE THE CRAP OUTTA MEH A LITTLE BIT.😄👍👍
Hcc dead guess huh k 1 was Mk look lol
The animatronics looks so lifelike and real , love when the old hag with the apples at the end showed up so spooky & real , and it was so cute seeing Snow White dancing with the dwarfs at the end 2:20 , in the cottage, it just disappoints me that Snow White has never had a proper ride to its movie , I mean Splash Mountain is based on Song Of The South that has go to be one of the most obscure Disney films ever and yet the ride is so popular and fun. Even when Snow White's Scary Adventures in WDW was still around the animatronics were great for the 80s-90s , even the one in Disneyland does not have a proper ending :-( , I just one day the imagineers at Disney give Snow White a proper ride , with good animatronics , the story told in chronological order ,Snow White is my favorite Disney Princess , and was the first Disney movie. Snow White deserves its own ride!! period come on Disney , they have the money to do it LOL.
The technology in this ride is amazing. Can't wait to ride it.
Is it Disney's best? No, but it's still a fantastic addition. The animatronics look fantastic, the theming is still as attentive and inspired as ever, and it does look fun to have a go on. Probably not something I'd personally queue for hours for, but it's still adorable.
So cute! I think I heard Banks hollering! Lol! Looks like you swing more in the back. It's going to be a very popular attraction with crazy long lines. Fast pass is your friend.
Wonder how that witch is gonna look in the rain.
This is gonna be right up there with Soarin' and Toy Story Mania in terms of popularity and line length.
FINALLY! I've been DYING to see a POV of this! Thank you so much! I can't go for at least the next few years, so I NEEDED to ride it online lol.
That's great. Small kids will love it!
As a Disneyland fan i say thank you SO much for this upload with both front and back seat of the new ride. Great stuff !
Looks amazing! All of the lit up gems and the songs are awesome. The ride looks really fun and has some great turns and drops for the whole family. Cant wait to ride it!
I think the ride looks great and the animatronics are a huge improvement, but I only wish it was longer. It seems as if you go through the cave, a couple hills, then you're back at the loading station. I don't feel as if it's a "waste of space" in the slightest. I also like the idea of the rocking mine carts. I think it's a great ride for everyone in the family to do together.
I got to test the ride! We rode it about five days prior to it's official opening!
If Walt was around to see this, he'd be smiling and crying at the same time.
"hi ho hi ho , it's off to work weeee.. GOOOOooooo…..AAaaahhhhhhh!!!!…..
The line for this attraction will wind all the way to the front gate. Too cool!!
Looks really cool! I hope to ride this if I get a chance to go to Disney this fall.
HI HO, HI HO! IT'S ON THE RIDE YOU GO! SIT BACK, RELAX, ENJOY THE SHOW! HI HO! HI HO, HI HO, HI HO! :D
Sean Cwilich nice lol
Well, you were my first ride-through - thank you. More impressed with cottage scene at the end than I thought, seeing some figures were from the old ride... must look even better at night, and I like the Hag :)
but i was hoping it would ride through the cottage, not just right outside it
spyyder976
though I did love seeing Snow White dancing with Dopey inside!
looks great! I'm there in June/July, can't wait!
That looks like a awesome ride, very cool indeed!
This really makes me want to ride it even more. Shame I need to travel like 3,000ish miles to do it
The level of theming is amazing!
That's it?! I was so excited to see a pov of this ride and I didn't expect it to be like this! 👎 Disneyland here I come!
Fantastic video. Can't wait to ride it!
Brilliant! Incredible detail, fun looking ride...A++
Got to ride this yesterday. Awesome!
I figured since this replaces scary adventure the witch would show up-I think it should have been more of a rock fall like the former attraction-Love the dwarf shadows-needs more theming between the bits a la big thunder-scary trees-alligator logs???
Going to Disneyworld next May (2015) - looking forward to it - and looking forward to updating my guide book with it!
Looks like fun , cant wait for it to open may 28
Looks a lot like big thunder mountain to me, the underground mine part looked good with all the color.
I got home from Florida today and realized the ride didn't open til 5/28 when I was there. :( Luckily I go to disney twice each year!
This ride is just so similar to thunder mountain. They could have maybe added more characters throughout the ride and added a bunch of those gems. The outside just seems too plain, until the end of course.
THIS ride was not intended for adults or even late teens. It is not a bad time if you have kids and they enjoy this area of the park. All in all a very well done ride, although yes a bit short in my opinion I did find myself singing to the old Disney Classic Hi HO..and the witch was very cool. Glad Disney is going back to the classic genre a bit.
Video doesn't do much justice. I just rode it, it was actually pretty good!
I still love it even though it's about half as long as I wish-the coaster part is plenty long for a mine train, but another indoor scene would be lovely; i ain't complaining though since the indoor scene is AWESOME (except the dwarves sound like they're about to puke from working); and the end cottage scene is cool too; I've seen some videos of this at night (not POV) and I can't wait to see a nighttime POV, as I'm sure it will be THE BOMB!
and I still want to see the entire queue line area!!!
thats pretty disappointing
Wait what happens to the Hag audiominatronic when it rains or there is a hurricane?
Animatronics are spectacular compared to the old dark rides but the ride itself is far less impressive than Disney had us imagine. 3 years wait & not a Harry Potter killer. Some Imagineers are actually my friends here in Glendale. I need to tell them they're getting lazy!
they did a lot with the space they had, and it takes up a large area and keeps going over and under itself; they built a whole hell of a lot to make this ride, so enjoy it! i'm just glad there's another coaster in the MK!
Anothee point the game lost the magic to be inside the snow white history and lost walt disney work
I agree it looks nice but i thought we get the whole story not just an outdoor view I miss the old ride
they weren't planning on this ride alone being a Harry Potter killer; but the entirety of New Fantasyland is giving Universal a run for its money, but the plan is grander than that, since they're still expanding with Avatar Land at AK, Cars Lands and Star Wars Land at HS, and some new stuff even at Epcot...these aren't small upgrades but GIANT UPGRADES AT EVERY PARK (except all I know about at Epcot thus far is turning the Norway ride into a Frozen themed one; I hope they just add to the theming but keep the ride!). All of these things done in the next 3-4 years will give WDW a HUGE BOOST-Esp. Avatar Land, and don't underestimate an expanded Star Wars Land with new movies coming out and a huge fan base already, not to mention gazillions of folks who can't go to CA to see Cars Land, but can go to FL to see it!
***** Completely agree with you about the Avatar Land, it doesn't fit Ak at all , Animal Kingdom is beautiful and tranquil and should be focussing on the world we live in. Not to mention that Avatar was pretty violent and destructive. Disney has so many amazing films, why take something that isn't Disney and had about 15 minutes of fame and turn it into a whole park section? ):
Please be so kind and tell me which Pivothead sunglass cam model this video was filmed with? Also: did you use the default/out-of-.the-box settings? I recently purchased a Pivothead 'Moab' just because I was so impressed by the quality of this video, but I'm not so happy with its low light performance (check the Ratatouille dark ride video on my channel), the quality of your video is much superior.
So much fun irl. If u go to Disney, u neeeeedd to go on it.
Looks great, and I didn't expect to see the witch/queen at the door and it supposed me. Made me jump a little. Lol. But this really doesn't tell the story of Snow White like Snow White's Scary Adventure did. I actually feel like this ride would have been great with the original ride still in place. When I saw the witch/queen at the door I expected the ride to go on so we could see what happened next.
Do keep in mind this isn't a re-telling of the movie. It's a ride inspired by the movie.
markbundles2 But that is what Disney rides used to do. It used to be as if you left the real world and entered the classic and as if lived through and experienced the whole movie even though it was only a few minutes. This is a great ride. I just wish it were longer because if you haven't seen the film, and let's face it, most of the younger park goers probably haven't, you really would be left wondering why the witch was there and what was going to happen.
yes, I wish they still had the other ride too; they could have built Princess Fairytale Hall anywhere else, it's not like there isn't room in the place; but they didn't want 2 Snow White rides...it would have been a masterpiece to have linked them both into one ride, with one entrance and having to switch between the mine train and the scary adventures at the end!
I thought there were going to be a lot more indoor sections. It should have started with interior scenes then gone outside and then come back inside. Another thing is there is nothing outside. They should have at least put some of the forest animals out there to look at as you go by. I was really expecting a lot more from this ride.
Yes me too after how many years of waiting for this ride, it's kind of a disappointment. Universal works way faster than Disney and creates longer and some better rides. Such as the new Harry Potter.
true, there's a waterfall and a giant log and a bridge outside, but they need some outdoor animals; i couldn't believe they put a deer at the mine entrance!
spyyder976
The outside doesn't have much scenery but trees, grass, and the tracks. They should have added more water and animals or some other things. They also should have had more indoor sections with a mine scene not just the 7 dwarfs. I mean after all it is a MINE COASTER. But it is what it is, doesn't mean I don't like it.
The witch is amazing and leaves me sad to see there is no queen/hag scene as the ones there were in the old dark ride, I wish they had scenes from thw witch but with new animatronics. The witch left me breathless.
I agree with the people here saying they're a little dissapointed. Although it doesn't look awful and looks entertaining enough, I was dissapointed they took out the Snow White ride because it was scary, and it was cool there was a scary ride for kids (although I'm a West-coaster, so I'm familiar with the D-land one which I know was scarier than the WDW one.) Although the Snow White ride isn't one of the best rides, it is so iconic and it is scarier than Haunted Mansion, with that great old-fashioned spookhouse atmosphere -- I hope they don't take out the D-land one!
Awesome!!!
It has arrived.
The only thing I wish about this ride is that when you first went back outside (Right after the mining part) that there's a drop right there. Like on Splash Mountain or Expedition Everest. Not like an insane drop like both of those rides have, but still a drop. It's just like you're still going up the hill when you get outside and then the drop. It's only a little hill, I really shouldn't complain, but still a hill!
how fun hope to ride it someday.....
Guys, I'm not saying you don't have to express your thoughts and opinions because that would go against my beliefs, but please keep in mind that this is a soft opening, not all the effects are working. The "we dig dig dig dig" music part is clearly missing from 0:50 to 1:15 because (I guess) of technical issues and that adds A LOT. I understand you might feel a bit disappointed, but rides like this one were made with tons of passion and care for details, like nothing you will find somewhere else in the world, so before definitely ditching Disney to Universal, I would suggest to think again. :)
Well dang after 3 freaking years you'd think they'd have the kinks worked out by now...
Was expecting more, little worried about the witch in the rain, but looks good overall.
Looks like a fun attraction, but I wish they had more "dark ride" areas to complete the storytelling. Still want to ride it though.
yes, I wish it was LONGER!
That's why they're delaying telling anyone about an opening date. There having trouble with the music sync.
This is a Disney ride, it looks like a fun ride, it's a kids ride as well. As far as it compares to Harry Potter don't know haven't rode the potter ride. If you are looking for a roller coaster go ride Aerosmith's at Hollywood Studio. If not go ride the Hulk at islands of adventure, but don't dismiss a kids coaster because you are grown. Well done Disney. Keep the magic coming.
The audio has issues during the first part of the mine in front view, and the lift hill section in back view
Awesome
Snow White's Adventures 1971-1993 the original ride that scared the crap out of kids and adults alike is the BEST !!!! :P nothing beats that....
AGREED!
First Hidden Mickey is behind Grumpy at about 1:09. I wasn't able to spot the other Hidden Mickey with the pickaxe and the Hidden Oswald on my 4 rides though.
Walt would have been proud of this
I think Walt would love the animatronics and be proud of it for that, but I think he'd be way disappointed in the way they didn't tell the whole story.
I have to agree with many of the comments here, the actual scenes look fantastic but it could do with more of them. We already have a mine train ride in the park anyway, most of this is also a mine train.
I too thought the ending seemed very abrupt, it would have been nice to have had a scene inside the cottage like in the Snow White's Scary Adventures ride, I guess that's why the title of this is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, it's very much about the dwarfs and then the other characters suddenly show up at the end.
When comparing it to other new rides such as The Little Mermaid and Radiator Springs Racers it doesn't seem as substantial. It's still a ride I will want to go on, I would have just liked more of the story, more scenes, a longer ride perhaps, there will also be some very young kids who won't be able to ride (height restrictions) or won't want to ride a rollercoaster, who perhaps would have been able to go on Snow White's Scary Adventures, which seems a shame.
is the second ride with background music malfunction? when exiting the cave on the lift hill?
At that start of the mine, they did not play the intro of Heigh-ho.
Looks great, but how come the background music wasn't there on some parts?
Well the ride did just come out, they probably need to work out some kinks
The whole coaster should have been indoors with the jewels and slow it down for the dwarves scenes
Hidden mickey head in the jems on the wall at 1:11 behind the dwarf
Do we think it will be up and running before their 24 hrs event in late may?
I love the animatronics and scenery, but I no longer ride roller coasters because I'm too big for them and I also have a heart condition.
At that start the mine, That sounds like sneezing.
All I can say is wow... In a disappointed way. Their merge of a roller coaster and a dark ride has completely fallen short. The story telling is sub par and I can't believe I'm saying that because this is a Disney ride!! We see The evil witch lurking the dwarves and then... Hi folks! Your back!! Uh excuse me snow whites about to bite the dust! It leaves you feeling incomplete and wanting for more of a cohesive ride.. They did it so successfully with cars at disneyland, how could they not do this as well? It almost seems as if they ran out of time and space for track.
Time, definitely not. Space, well that is a no-brainer.
Well, abut the witch part.. it's like a good ending to a story.. you wanna know what is gonna happen next.. I love things like that :D
I agree with you..im a huge disney girl...i moved from orlando last april before the ride was open....and i was so sad i was going to leave before it was done...I was so excited to see what it was going to be like...and now.....im just disappointed....it just seems so short...and blank...you get a little scene of the dwarves in the diamond mine...a little scene of them in the cottage....and thats it....i expected a fun adventure in the mine....since the ride is primarily focused on that....but it was just so empty for me....and not empty as far as space....i mean empty as in no feeling whatsoever of joy and excitement....makes me sad
This ride isn't an E-ticket, so the length seems about right. I'm a little irritated at the music not working properly.
Its Big Thunder... re-vamped.
I Never go to Disney World before I Wish for I Will Go there I May Go There Soon
Should never got rid of the original ride it was the first ever Disney film :( !
A little dissapointed. Thought there would be more too it. theres really only one show scene and hoping it would be faster. oh well. Hopefully Disney steps up their game and makes something truly innovative next time
What's the biggest difference u felt between the front of the ride and the back felt and saw on this ride. As a person with motion sickness who is dying to ride a coaster but thus far only was able to do the river rapids ride and soarin would I be able to ride this?
You should be able to ride anywhere, as the motion isn't much. However, if the sight of motion makes it worse(seeing the other cars sway in front of you), you may want to ride either in the front or second car.
That ending of the ride was very abrupt. I expected more to be honest. :/
I agree, when I saw the witch I was like 'oh cool, what will happen next?" and then it just ended. That's weird. The Little Mermaid had the same problem with an abrupt ending.
Little Mermaid's ending isn't abrupt. It's the whole movie in one ride. You should know when it's over before it even ends.
UR right, this ride was kinda abrupt. It's just representing a snippet from the actual Snow White movie. It's all like, "we're the dwarves it's time to work in the mine, HI HO," and then it's like: "time to go home and have a party with Snow White," and then you see the Hag and it's like, "uh oh there's the hag with her poisoned apples stalking the party, THE END." It's like it's telling u to finish the rest. 😐
They never advertised it as being a complete retelling of the movie. It's just a ride inspired by the movie. Little Mermaid is the same thing, it's a ride inspired by the music of the movie, not the actual plot (and yes, interviews with Imagineers stating that point exist).
Madder-Than-A-Hatter Savvii
which is why they should have ended it at the old ride and made you hop on the Scary Adventures for Part 2!
I'm slightly disappointed that it didn't have the same story telling vibe the old Snow White ride had but they did a good job keeping the 7 dwarves as the theme :) I'll probably wouldn't wait 2 hours for it tho
i can hear rob in the background
The song was not working
They Still Have Big Thunder, Right?!?!??!!??? xD
Too bad they didn't wait a bit and make a FROZEN boat/sled ride.
I heard while we were there the backlot tour area in Hollywood studios was becoming a frozen area
Big Thunder Mountain much?
It's just like Big Thunder, that train ride, and that was better than this.
disappointed by the very brief appearance by the witch. I thought she would have the same projection face and would come popping out at you somewhere, lol
Where's the 7d from disney xd
This ride is way to short. There is no fast pass and the wait is over an hour.
Seems there were a lot of mistakes and goofs with interaction of the arriving of the train. Guess they will perfect that by opening day.
I knew this would be bad after they chose not to make Ursula gigantic cuz it would scare little children, that's what made these rides more fun and interesting a bit of a scare factor.
Their should have been at least 2 sections of indoor activity Splash mountain is way more awesome then this what a 3 year fail.
How come people are riding it if it dosent open til later this month?
There are soft openings before the official grand opening.
media coverage events
To the people commenting on avatar being a fad, I bet disney launches the new avatar area close to avatar 2 to boost hype. It really wasn't a great movie though. Saw it twice in the theater. Can't stand watching it on tv. They are going to give animal kingdom a night life which is good though
A little sparse on the theming and the thrills - my kids will be at Universal...
Line really wasn't too bad but (sorry for being crass) someone in my train (probably someone sitting in front of me) could not stop farting. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Totally ruined it for me!
To be honest. The witch kind of scared me.
I was expecting more. They should have gotten the whole story in. The mind sequence is really impressive, but couldn't we get the rocks toppling over the evil queen? Are they afraid of scaring kids even a little bit? It reminds me of the new Little Mermaid ride, which is fun, but the original design looked more dark then it became. I remember being 5 years old and being scared at the witch at the end of the old Snow White ride. Guess what? My parents comforted me and told me 'it's only a story.' Parents need to pick what rides are too old for their kids and Disney needs to stop catering to them.
(face palm) Years of waiting for this? I'm not impressed at all, even if I were 5.
Off to Universal I go...
Universal will never be disney
yup
Wow no effort in this ride what happened to good disney rides
Oh my good the animatronics just amazing they look so real and awesome i love it, but i dont like the ride because the old ride tells snow white history and this new one dont tell the history and i think that it was magical to be inside the history hope not dont do this game in california
Are the 1 & a 1/2 Animatronic scenes good? YES. Is this ride a Harry Potter killer? NO. 3 years wait worth it? NO. Disney... Though some aspects were great. I am gonna call it... Your imagineers are in need of fresh blood.
The ride just ends. Feels like the journey wasn't finished. Great ride and effects, but the end, really? What happens... next? There needs to be a big finish. You can't really see into the house, there is too much reflection in the day time, however, it works great at night. If they had one more section, a dark component, and big finish where Snow White overcomes evil, it would have worked better. Are you not allowed to show the ending or something? Has Disney made everyone sign waivers to not post the big ending? Maybe that's it? Bring this ride to Disneyland Anaheim !!
