- Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs joins Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for the official dedication of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at the Magic Kingdom.
The ride officially opens on May 28, 2014.

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to our new fanstneyland and the seven dwarfs mine train dedication
me and my wife are going in sep. we are so excited about this ride. and its my 2nd time there as a 30 year old i still get like a kid when going on a vacation. love this place. we dont have any children because of physical probs. i have but i love looking at all the happy boys and girls having the time of their lives. maybe one day we will be taking our child here. it truely is the happiest place on earth at least to me. god bless all.
Make sure that you make this attraction as first fast pass selection. This baby will lines for a long time. And don't forget to check out Festival of Fantasy! You have to see the Dragon!

Awesome dedication. Can't wait to finally ride the seven dwarfs mine train someday when my family and I return to Walt Disney World in Orlando Fl once again. Looking forward to riding the ride and all my other favorite rides at wdw. So glad it's finally opened. :-)
Did he just say May 28th? Im sure everyone there was expecting it to be opened a lot sooner. Have a dedication ceremony the day of or the day before it opens.
Yea its basically a month away
It's probably going through "soft opening" right now. They usually do for new and refurbished rides to get the kinks out of it before the official opening.
I like it when they dance off at the end hehe
Snow White looks like an idiot when she enters. Oh, and the ride opens today! Happy opening, seven dwarfs mine train, and many happy years to come!

Big Thunder goes way faster!! Also as far as the "tilt" in the mine cars? You can barely feel it. Enjoy!!! All you SoCal visitors that really want to see this now I recommend fall or early new year to go. It's not worth spending close to 4 or 5g w/ the vacation packages.
Dwarfs?... they r huge... no wonder snow white is so happy even without the prince around.

"Officially" opens May 28th but it has been running for media and bloggers already. It will probably go through what their normal "soft opening" for the rest of this month, running some days and not others as they work out the invariable "kinks" in any new project.
Overall, not a bad replacement for Scary Adventures.
Should have just done this a couple days before... Not soooooo far away!
This has to be the weakest opening dedication I have seen for a Disney attraction.
It must be sad for the people who all waited like half an hour or so to see this uh....."ceremony" that lasted like 5 minutes and then be told that it's opening almost a month later.
This was actually a press event. Fantasyland was closed to the public at 5pm that day and only open to press with a ticket. All the press in attendance were able to ride the ride.

This dedication was SO LAME! And that Snow White was SO annoying to watch and listen to, I just want to slap her! LOL

I can relate to where you're coming from. In the original movie, Snow White is a 14-year-old girl and the young (18-year-old) woman who provided her vocals for the movie had such a high-pitched voice that most who don the costume at the theme parks simply cannot hit that pitch.
I guess Disney finds itself challenged finding women and girls who can actually duplicate the character.
