First time in Cowboys history they were shut out. It would be 15 years before they were shut out again.

My family was at this game 😢 went home crying !!!

  • @spankynater4242

They used to actually do play by play, rather than just chit chatting with the game on in the background.

"Brought to you by Marlboro" LOL And 1970 was a typical Cardinal season. Rolling along at 8-2-1 and in the playoff hunt only to drop their last 3 games to finish in 3rd at 8-5-1. They've always been fond of late season collapses.

I don't know how u guys "watched the game" since it was blacked out in the Dallas/FW area .... Back then it had 2 be sold out 2 be shown locally. I was in the 8 grade then, and remember hearing it on a small transistor radio. My how times have changed!!!😮 GO COWBOYS !!!!!!!

This was the 1st MNF game for the Cowboys versus Cards, but not the first Monday game for Dallas and St. Louis as the Cards beat the Cowboys 20-13 in a 1965 Monday afternoon game.

  • @smg1665

Don Meredith’s comments throughout this broadcast are quite humorous. He does apologize on air for being such a homer near the end.

  • @kcmerced9512

Never missed a MNF game in 1970...

I haven't seen a Dallas team look that bad especially at home I think ever

I play golf with John gilliam sometime

  • @alanstrong55

The Cardinals did have a way to upset any opponent in that day. Just not enough to win the NFC title.

  • @jeromemurphy2572

    Dallas at its worst.
