i was kinda assuming this was running on a bit of minecraft logic? where deeper layers are richer in valuable resources
I love how the cave develops fungi and vegetation. Small detail that is awesome
I like the improvements they've made. The relics are particularly spicy.
That last wave was pretty intense 😬 Love how the game appears simple but can actually be a nightmare if you don't play well enough.
i played on the non brutal difficulty. i got a relic from a diamond slot that i think helped me clear the game. i was near losing then something rose up from the relic location on the dome then it blasted everything on the screen and the game was done. it says the dome is safe.

I played the Demo after missing Dome Romantik. It’s actually incredible despite how simple it appears on the surface.
isn't dome romantik the same project it just got renamed? might be wrong
@@confusedturtle183 Yes, there were already few demo versions, that are quite a bit different.
What really ? but romantik dome feel really different tho sad.
The stun laser will pre-position for the first critters of a wave - it can let you know where to set up at the start of a monster wave.
Love how the mobs move like they used to in Out of This World
Now that's nostalgic. I remember seeing that demo playing on box monitors when I was a kid.
Imo investing on the laser heavily is the way to go in this game, helps a ton and you still get enough to focus on other things in between laser upgrades.
My mindset is investing in economy (drill, carry, speed) is key, as early economy snowballs later. This only works if you don't die, though, so you still need to invest in laser. Some relics let you skimp on laser for awhile though.
@@r3dp9 yeah I think it depends a lot on your rng for the start but I agree that economy is probably most important at first.
The transformation is quite fast, and impressive to say the least, wow. I like the lift and teleports, it's a good way to manage travel time for longer runs where you'll have to dig deep to matter what. I hope the potential keeps flourishing just like it is rn.

Dome Keeper? Canonical main character is Pauly Shore, no doubt.
I really enjoyed the demo. I wish the timer was slightly longer though. Its kind of ridiculous how little time you have.
This game looks a lot more interesting now. The relics make it look so much more fun.

the black enemies kinda reminds me to my childhood. I had a game ( dont know the name of it sadly) where youre a boy with laser pistol or something, and you have to kill black monsters kinda like shadow things. It was such a good game and really terrifyng as a kiddo :)

You know, your channel really fills its purpose extremely well, you can be proud of that. Every time I watch your videos, I come out thinking "oh that was a really neat game!" and wishlist it or (gotta say, more frequently, I’m picky) I’m like "this was a fun video but this game is definitely not for me"

"but what happened with this game was kinda *unpredictable*" not true: when ol' Splatty features a game chances of it getting tsunamied by audience skyrocket. Just remember the not so distant Vampire Survivors incident. And that can lead to a development-boost.

I only played Brutal mode and it took me 9 hrs to learn, adapt and finally win. Like Vampire Survivors, they get it.

Yeah pretty much all games use W,A,S,D for directional movement now. Screws me up when a game doesn't use those keys to move.
I feel like the ESDF people are onto something, but I can't bring myself to switch.
Next Tactic is let enemies attack where you have little DMG and focus where you are most damaged this helps you spread the DMG evenly until the next repair

I rather liked it as well. It was “unique” but the new name is a better description but it more generic. I wonder why the change though. I hope this game gets lots of love because it’s a great gem. =]

It was kind of weird how Dome Romantik and Dorfromantik both appeared around the same time, even using the same spelling. This new version looks really upgraded in the graphics department.

Amazing game.. cant wait to be fully released.. i love games like that.. managed to go until wave 16... very hard.. always my base loses health and i dont have the thing to recover it

I think a good idea would be to make larger tunnels leading tl the dome so you can pull larger loads easier
Imo it's not worth the time because you'll most likely get a teleporter or the lift, so you're not going to always be pulling loads yourself

It's totally worth it to do random bounces against the walls during trips though. You'll get good at ensuring there's _just_ enough time when returning to dome, instead of waiting out the remainder of the bar while sitting at the laser twiddling thumbs.
Have had my eye on this for a while, looking forward to its release.
If only you could get that lift upgrade first. Then you could just plan your whole digging pattern around it. But I'm betting that the more useful relic upgrades are found deeper down, so you have to already have dug out a fair chunk of the map before you find them.
My eyesight isn't the best, so I appreciate the new graphics. As much as I liked the older ones they were harder on me to see

19:00 what the problem was, is that wtf were you looking at? XD your whole startong area was not mined man. The first two layers on the left side where barely touched. And even the right wasnt fully minned xD this was just absolutely driving me crazy!
