@@monad_tcp I just read the definition of pacisfism. It's actually way more lame than I though. You just have to be opposed to war as a mean of solving conflict and not being willing to be drafted. I thought that statement was something which didn't describe the majority of the population.

@@monad_tcp Wikipedia differentiates between absolute pacifism and conditional pacifism. If I understood it correctly you would fall into the conditional pacifism camp.
That's the jist of most "pacifist" runs in videogames anyways. Creators just cause enemies to die in ways (often way more cruel than intentional way) that do not tick the "enemies killed" counter, and that's somehow considered pacifism. I hate this twisting of terminology

I wonder if it's possible to just have a run where you don't kill that one enemy in the first wave, and instead you just keep on repairing the dome and upgrading it's health, essentially preventing the next wave from spawning
The resource converter is only really worthwhile when you have monstrous amounts of iron and absolutely no water, or when you get it early and upgrade it to convert iron into more iron.
I like that I can slowly but perpetually increase my iron count even if I'm not getting enough from mining. Just harvest your five when you notice it's done running, immediately restart the process with one of them, then take the other four up to the harvester. Rinse and repeat.
If you get it early enough, it can give you a couple dozen more iron than you would have otherwise. If you get it late, just scrap it.
Matt, I think you can transfer the seed thing by just digging it up. You need ample space for the roots and also ample resource ore

Hello RCE. You can replant the tree seed by mining the block. You also need a few unmined blocks for it to grow around three I think? You can also put it between two resources and let the roots spread. Different resources have different growing speeds. Hope this helps and hope you have a wonderful day.

The early iron near the start, only gives you 4-5 iron. Not a lot, but if you save two nodes, and look around the area, you might find cobalt near it. If you can hit both iron, and the cobalt with the roots of the tree, you can get 2 iron a day plus 1 Cobalt every few day near your base entrance. Even without the cobalt node, it’s a lot of iron in the long run.

i think a more apt "pacifist run" would be maxing out the repellent to do as much passive damage as possible, and focusing on repairing and strengthening the dome so AOE kills as many monsters as possible. could be interesting to watch

the resource converter is great. you can upgrade it to produce 4 iron at the cost of just 1, so you basically get 3 free iron every 1.2/1.4 cycles. Its a good thing to have, bot not as good as other things

How nice of you. That’s why this is the best channel. I found you right after you created your account. There was only a few dozen, couple hundred in the beginning and I KNEW this channel would hit 1 million. Now on the verge of 2 Million! You took a chance and I’m glad for you.
I am a genetic ENGINEER. I work with smaller materials…but we can build cellular structures. The support systems in cellular systems will blow you big engineer’s mind! So much of the physics is replicated on the molecular level. You can learn so much about engineering studying the cell and ALL the support systems, those are often overlooked, but the amazing structural support each cell has…you’ll see all the engineering you know replicated on the molecular level.
Anyhow, I Love this channel. Matt, you are truly one of the funniest TH-camr’s and your kind. I am truly glad it worked out so well. Keep up the amazing work, brother!

If Gandhi can use nukes in Civ 5, you can wildly and with no specific intent swing a sword around as a pacifist. Or at least it is self-defense, they're coming to you, the dome isn't moving.

You’d be a good lawyer saying “This engineer didn’t attack with his sword the victim walked under it.”
I didn't kill that thief, he just was in the wrong place at the wrong time on the path of that bullet, I was just minding my own business in my land and pressing my gun's trigger and emitting some bullets totally directed at things that I own (like the sky or the ground), it was his fault for getting in the path of the bullet.

Did the Long Cycles mode today as well, before this video launched. It's surprisingly easy indeed, other modes I found much more difficult

This is my favourite series at the moment mining which has always been satisfying in a way like in minecraft but dome keeper keeps it less reparative

I don't think the resource tree was broken. The lift was just picking up the resources before you'd see them. If correct, a resource tree + lift is a pretty combo.
In the future, you should consider doing auto production on water. Even on short runs, the amount of time you spend not collecting water while down in the mines makes the slower production speed worth having the auto production because the water just sits there all clogged up. So... it's a lot more efficient to use it for the longer runs.

it is more efficient to mine every three blocks, especially when mining for iron as you cover more ground and if iron spawns in the middle section you will still see it as iron never spawns in veins of only one.
To avoid missing single cobalt and water veins, every two blocks mine the block above to make sure nothing is missed.
Doing this will cover more ground and is better for finding iron.

This game, I have been watching since it was Dome Romatik or whatever it was and I must say that it is a testament that graphics aren't everything and gameplay loops are so fragile and burn out quick, even this game is not immune to that aspect of games but the balance and simplicity of this game has made it one of my favorites and Ive never even played it. The game just does progression very well, and it displays the results of your progression in a seemingly simple enough explanation, not through meaningless titles and achievements, but by how your domes defenses respond. If you upgrade your sword speed, you can feel it. Graphics are not everything.
I realized, that may have came off wrong, I am not downing the graphics. Pixel art is its own style and demands precision and honestly is more work than digital 3d model skeletons with moving joints, its like the difference between cross stitching each scene and setting up action figures. Both models can be used to deliver a great end product.

1) self-defence is if you are in a situation where if the attacker gets a hold of you, you will pretty quickly die or if the person hit you first it will be considered self-defence
