I also hate paying for genuine Harley parts but at the end of the day I know they're going to fit and if they don't I can go back to the dealer and sort it. After a couple of months I've forgotten the price but if it's a shoddy cheaper part I'm going to look at it forever.
I can only agree with you Andrew… Luckily I done the research on the fit etc on these from motea before buying and if they were bad on the day they’d have gone back too. Luckily I bought the bike finance free (from savings) but I’m trying to rein it in a bit now where I can. That and all the money I’ve spent on cameras this last year I have to stop somewhere 😂 Also happy wife happy life. Truth be known I’d have a road glide too if I could afford it (even though I prefer the sport glide for everyday riding) Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and comment. I had the same guards in my Heritage. I never could get me feet on the Highway peg spots. Guess I just have short legs. Good thing I didn't try to buy a Pan American!Good choice! They look great!
hard to see on the video but can you tell me if the front engine guards are sticking out much further that the luggage boxes at the rear, ive got a tight entrance to my house so just wondering how much space i have to play around with. Keep up the good work!!
@chriswalsh6088 Hi, I have just taken a tape measure to the engine guard and at its widest point it seems to be approx 80cm’s The saddlebags at their widest point was a little harder to measure but I think (using the centre of my seat backrest as a centre point) the saddlebags are also around the 80cm mark too. I summary I’d say the engine guard at the front is no wider than the bags at the back so will be fine for tighter gaps… the engine guard works as it’s so much lower at the front of the bike as opposed to the bags at the rear (if that makes any sense at all) Hope this info helps. The exact guard I bought is linked in the description I think should go want to go with this one one safe side now you know the measurements. And thanks for watching and the positive comment.
