The beauty of a Harley and in particular the Sport Glide Aaron is that you can make them look so personal. Really pleased you’re enjoying it, your enthusiasm is clear for all to see. Aaron, great video. Before buying the ST Style fairing have a test ride of the ST. My local dealer gave me a brand new, out the box LRST as a courtesy bike...awesome engine but the wind noise from the fairing was terrible. I preferred riding my SG without the fairing, to the ST fairing. As for the HD bar and shield Badge, I was led to believe that they were for the CVO bikes. I did see a pair for £30 on Etsy a while back. Keep up with the vids mate and I'm looking forward to seeing your Spain trip.

its a minor negative thats easily resolved with a taller screen im 5.10 and the turblence rattles my head too i have 24 FXLRST so going for an 8 or 10 klockwerks screen

Great video Aaron! I've had my Sport Glide for 6.5 years and still love her. Apropos of the floorboards, have you looked at the Kuryakyn Hex Mini Folding Floorboards? I installed them on my bike and they're amazingly comfortable. Ride safe and keep up the great work!

Liked them though. Just got a big trip on my bike coming up soon and I’m panicking to get everything done ready. 5k service before I go too and I’m only on 3600 miles now. Got to get some miles on it before the 5k / annual service that’s due this month. Awesome bike. I love it. Had an 883 before and loved that too but once I rode a demo sport glide I had to have one. @@aaron.black107 well that sucks like a starving leech! Hopefully you'll have better luck with the FatBoy boards. I went from an '08 Super Glide Custom (loved that bike) to the Sport Glide. At the time I was working for one of the local HD dealerships so I was the 1st one in the shop to ride the SG and I was sold! Like you, I've added several items over the years. I didn't replace the seat, but added a Butt Buffer pad which made a huge difference. I added Memphis Shades hand guards and swapped out the fairing for an El Diablo fairing from LA Fairing Co. It gives it a unique look and does a pretty good job of keeping the wind off of me.
@@aaron.black107 I did, I added the 4" HD pullback risers. You and are about the same weight, I'm 6' tall and those risers are perfect. Word of advice though, don't do what I did. When I installed the risers and locked down the bars, I set the angle a tad too low which made me think "Crap, I should've gotten the 6" risers!" I thought about it and went back, loosened the bars and rotated them up about an 1". Boom! Worked like a charm!
@aaronblack001 I know what you mean about the roadglide. 2 years and I can see a street glide in my garage! More than happy with the sport glide for next couple or 3 years though!
Hi Aaron, great content as always. Do you have a video on changing the tank trim? How easy was it to do? Did you meed any different hardware To install it?
@@deanbuglass8720 Hi Dean, no video sadly mate but it was relatively straightforward. Just undo the main bolt you see on the speedo cluster and the whole thing lifts off in one (so you can access the trim nuts and bolts to hold it on. Make sure you give the parts dept a fatboy reg to look at on their systems as mine supplied the wrong fittings (push on clips that hold the original tank trim) and not the nuts that go on the inside in their place. Without the nuts the trim would not be fixed in tightly by the two bolts you see the heads of that go through from the outside. Hope that helps and is not too confusing? The fatboy and the sportglide trims are held on differently. Three bolts and nuts for the fatboy where it’s just one and two clips on the sportglide

the 117 in the Low rider ST isnt scary, power delivery is smooth with bags of torque too so would suit if 2 up touring if tall prob need change Screen put forward controls on, an a flush filter so knee doesnt hit its same rear end as the Sportglide so seat will fit, poss your Holdfast sissy too . a more flexible option is the Low rider S same core package of 117 M8 double discs etc an you get a proper gauge rather than the digi one on the ST just throw on bags of choice and screen of choice .just done first 1000 miles on my low rider ST id say getting it too fit requires the most personalisation but most change bars risers seat pegs etc anyway , i did on my previous Harley a 48
@@scooternut7198 loads of valid points there. I can’t believe how much I love the look of the front fairing. When I first saw it I thought it was awful but love it now. Unsure if it’s worth going for one although as you say there’s loads of benefits (like twin discs and 117) as I think it would have to be a road glide next but that might prove hard to live with everyday? Maybe the Low Rider ST is just the perfect all rounder after all?
@@aaron.black107 i know what mean thought it looked like front of dodgem car , but grown on me same as the bronze wheels (mines black bike) Plymouth/Southampton got some good deals on S/ST models got mine through Plymouth . its definately a versatile bike bags/on/off etc i dont mind smaller right bag (so many moans about it ) but allows for lots of different Muffler /exhaust choices weight and price difference over the road glide was big factor for me im 5 10 11 stone though ! look forward to seeing how you take things im a custom addict so luv the hunt for goodies and seeing them installed !

I’m torn totally as love my bike more than I ever thought I could (until I ride something else and then I’m hooked on that too) Little taller than you and looked anaemic at 13st. Your bike must be the fastest one around at your weight. I’ve subbed another TH-camr “midlife skidlid” and he was really suffering with the softail set up of his sport glide but in the end turned out it was his weight that was causing him all the problems and being too light for it (he was about 10st) and then he upgraded to a Road King 🤩 I’m going to get my Spain trip done end of next month and see how easy my sport glide finds it. Rest and recuperation season will be upon us over the winter then and done mids will definitely be coming. I will say though, this road trip to Spain will include serious mileage… if everything goes to plan I won’t be tempted for a road glide but if it’s not all plain sailing you never know 😬😂

Say it ain't so , the sportglide is the best bike Harley ever made, youll regret it if you get rid of that bike. My stage 2 with bassani road rage 3 is as powerful as any bike ive ever rode, and the weight is easy to shrow around. Yes that fairing has to go , my Memphis shades fairing with t shaped apes is good for blocking air looks and handling. Mine is all blacked out. Road glide no way the new ones are having major electrical issues as well. I tried your freinds channel he never responded to anything, so he's gone .
