    Always great timing, Aaron, just put the bike away, and celebrating beer'o'clock😁, really like your darker gloss black, particularly the panniers, looks fantastic, I've been doing leatherwork for ages, and used part of a blackened crocodile hide, to make my tank strap, I think the tank would look better with your gloss black, and the 3D badge, my Dyna Fat Bob is denim black, I luv' the look, but it's a bitch to look after, thinking about going gloss??.
    Take it easy,

    Aaron, great video. Before buying the ST Style fairing have a test ride of the ST. My local dealer gave me a brand new, out the box LRST as a courtesy bike...awesome engine but the wind noise from the fairing was terrible. I preferred riding my SG without the fairing, to the ST fairing. As for the HD bar and shield Badge, I was led to believe that they were for the CVO bikes. I did see a pair for £30 on Etsy a while back. Keep up with the vids mate and I'm looking forward to seeing your Spain trip.

    Great video Aaron! I've had my Sport Glide for 6.5 years and still love her. Apropos of the floorboards, have you looked at the Kuryakyn Hex Mini Folding Floorboards? I installed them on my bike and they're amazingly comfortable. Ride safe and keep up the great work!

Got to get some miles on it before the 5k / annual service that’s due this month.

      @@aaron.black107 well that sucks like a starving leech! Hopefully you'll have better luck with the FatBoy boards. I went from an '08 Super Glide Custom (loved that bike) to the Sport Glide. At the time I was working for one of the local HD dealerships so I was the 1st one in the shop to ride the SG and I was sold! Like you, I've added several items over the years. I didn't replace the seat, but added a Butt Buffer pad which made a huge difference. I added Memphis Shades hand guards and swapped out the fairing for an El Diablo fairing from LA Fairing Co. It gives it a unique look and does a pretty good job of keeping the wind off of me.

When I installed the risers and locked down the bars, I set the angle a tad too low which made me think "Crap, I should've gotten the 6" risers!" Hi Aaron, great content as always. Do you have a video on changing the tank trim? How easy was it to do? Did you meed any different hardware
    To install it?

    • @aaron.black107
      @aaron.black107  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@deanbuglass8720 Hi Dean, no video sadly mate but it was relatively straightforward. Just undo the main bolt you see on the speedo cluster and the whole thing lifts off in one (so you can access the trim nuts and bolts to hold it on.
      Make sure you give the parts dept a fatboy reg to look at on their systems as mine supplied the wrong fittings (push on clips that hold the original tank trim) and not the nuts that go on the inside in their place. Without the nuts the trim would not be fixed in tightly by the two bolts you see the heads of that go through from the outside.
      Hope that helps and is not too confusing?
      The fatboy and the sportglide trims are held on differently. Three bolts and nuts for the fatboy where it’s just one and two clips on the sportglide

    the 117 in the Low rider ST isnt scary, power delivery is smooth with bags of torque too so would suit if 2 up touring if tall prob need change Screen put forward controls on, an a flush filter so knee doesnt hit its same rear end as the Sportglide so seat will fit, poss your Holdfast sissy too .
    a more flexible option is the Low rider S same core package of 117 M8 double discs etc an you get a proper gauge rather than the digi one on the ST just throw on bags of choice and screen of choice .just done first 1000 miles on my low rider ST id say getting it too fit requires the most personalisation but most change bars risers seat pegs etc anyway , i did on my previous Harley a 48

      @@scooternut7198 loads of valid points there. I can’t believe how much I love the look of the front fairing. When I first saw it I thought it was awful but love it now. Unsure if it’s worth going for one although as you say there’s loads of benefits (like twin discs and 117) as I think it would have to be a road glide next but that might prove hard to live with everyday? Little taller than you and looked anaemic at 13st. Your bike must be the fastest one around at your weight. I’ve subbed another TH-camr “midlife skidlid” and he was really suffering with the softail set up of his sport glide but in the end turned out it was his weight that was causing him all the problems and being too light for it (he was about 10st) and then he upgraded to a Road King 🤩
      I’m going to get my Spain trip done end of next month and see how easy my sport glide finds it. Rest and recuperation season will be upon us over the winter then and done mids will definitely be coming.
      I will say though, this road trip to Spain will include serious mileage… if everything goes to plan I won’t be tempted for a road glide but if it’s not all plain sailing you never know 😬😂
