In official artwork for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Sheik is depicted fighting various monsters with a dagger alongside Link, but in the actual game she is not depicted fighting in any capacity. However, it resembles Hyper Beam, a special Normal-type attack that, while very powerful, forces the user to waste a turn recharging after a successful use. Most fully evolved Pokémon can learn this move, including Deoxys and Lucario itself. Aura Storm's color scheme in Brawl resembles Hyper Beam in Pokémon Battle Revolution.” “While the move itself is original to Smash, it takes inspiration from several Nintendo peripherals. Accessories such as R.O.B and the Zapper used light and laser technology to function, with R.O.B specifically detecting light changes on a screen to activate one of several actions.” “Super Diffusion Beam and Guided Robo Beam are a complete Smash original, having no equivalent in Gyromite or Stack-Up, the only two games that are compatible with R.O.B. The Beam aspect of the move is very loosely adapted from the Optoelectronic technology used by R.O.B. and the Zapper to communicate with games.” The move is derived from the various poses that the trainers and players are required to perform during gameplay of the Wii Fit series. The silhouette art-style used for the attack matches the yoga poses seen on the Japanese boxart for Wii Fit, as well as Wii Fit Trainer's character poster. You know what could work for a future Smash Bros game? If you're either given the option of what Final Smash you want, (Especially towards the fighters that have had multiple Final Smashes throughout their run in Smash Bros,) or have each playable character get three Final Smashes based on what direction of the analog stick is when it's about to be activated. Neutral and Side Final Smash would be the same, and both the Up Final Smash and Down Final Smash would be different.
I was literally thinking that when I was watching final smash videos! if a person specifically doesn’t like a final smash, they could just change it to the one they like from older games.

So Samus’ Zero Laser was first revealed in Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s 2006 E3 reveal along with Zero Suit Samus, but now Zero Suit Samus shares her final smash with her armored counterpart. If you mean from an earlier game’s smash trailer… If you count melee’s opening as a Smash Trailer since it was used to reveal the game at 2001 E3, Yoshi’s final smash originated from a Smash Trailer. Additionally, even though their game had released early in japan, Corrin had a final smash completely original to smash first shown off in his trailer. It has only been up until recently in Fire Emblem Engage it has been intergrated into the main series.
You know now that I think about it Peach's final smash doesn't need to be changed. Just make sheeps fall from the sky falling on people while they are asleep and then it ends with a giant sheep which would cause the most damage. Now for Daisy, her final smash could either be her super strike from one of the mario strikers games or maybe even the wonder flower from Super mario wonder.
Brawl and Smash 4 had better Final Smashes than Ultimate tbh. Too many cutscenes and copy & pasted Final Smashes with minor differences. I miss Negative Zone.
It was done on purpose, to keep everything moving fast. That’s why there are no controllable transformations and everything is just a few seconds. It’s a bummer, but it streamlines the game
There are some final smashes that I think would've worked as a trapping/cutscene final smash: Bowser Jr.- Shadow Mario slams his paintbrush on the ground and creates a giant paint monster to eat the fighter
@@garvensmancorrect, in the 2018 e3 direct, sakurai said that the final smashes are fast and right to the point so you can get right back to fighting, also increasing damage to an opponent in a 1v1 to pick up the pace but not in 3-8 player battles so that the pace stays the same
Honestly, it’s about time Mario gets a new Final Smash. Throughout the history of his adventures, you think he’d get a better one by now. His Mega Strike from the Striker series, Giga Cat Mario, just anything than the Mario Finale.
Technically, the origin of Luigi's Final Smash (Negative Zone) in Brawl is the context of it. Luigi's existence has been obscured several times by Mario in the games and even in real life (In several games Luigi is not featured, even Bowser doesn't remember his name in Mario & Luigi.) Luigi has to make this zone to feel better making the opposite of what is around him.
I love Luigi's final smash The Polgergus 3000 and G00 and did you know that the G00 was foreshadowing Luigi mansion 3 which would then come out the year after 2019 and I also remeber seeing it in the reveal for Simon and Ricther.

Young Link's actually doesn't really come from Ocarina of Time, as Link doesn't use the full triforce to seal Ganon there, and Zelda uses the triforce, not Link, and Zelda only uses the triforce of wisdom, so there are a ton of inconsistencies. I think it's more of a reference to the times Link got the full triforce in Skyward Sword and A link to the Past. I hate triforce slash anyway, I think it's a dogcrap reference, but whatever.
@@LinktheCommunistWaifu Well, you may hate on the Triforce Slash, but to me, I say it's a Super Awesome and Epic Final Smash from Link and Young Link! I say it's Ultra Badass!
@@LinktheCommunistWaifuExactly dude! That's what I'm saying! And, you're right. It would've been Super Awesome if Fierce Deity Link could've have the Power of the Triforce Slash.

You missed that Volt Tackle also draws inspiration from Pulseman, a previous Game Freak game, where the protagonist has his own Volt Tackle move which is visually nearly identical. The Pokemon move itself was inspired by this.
While you're still doing smash...by any chance would you be able to do a video showing everything that isabelle/villager is able to pocket in ultimate? If it's not to much of an issue that is! Thank you! :)
Can we all agree that final smashes were better in brawl and 4? Specifically transformations or weapons that you could control, like giga bowser, wario man, or the landmaster. I always found these moves fun to use, but nowadays, final smashes are way more generic in terms of super moves. It's either an attack that transitions into a cutscene, a barrage of attacks, a single really powerful hit, or something weird like peach or game and watch. These replaced transformations with the intention of making matches more fast-paced and prevent the flow from being disrupted (which is honestly a load of crap considering that cutscene final smashes force everyone to stop fighting to watch quick cinematic of someone getting their ass beat in one way or another), but they're honestly way less fun to use. Final smashes used to be unique as super moves, and ultimate honestly ruined them almost as a whole. Huge shame that it's the same game where there's a meter for final smashes now.
Technically the Jiggly puff one has a. Origin. If you watch the episode of pokemon when the Pokemon was Like Giant and Jiggly puff had those weird back markings on it then you can actually consider that the origin
For Meta Knights final smash on Brawl and 4 you could say it came from the samurai mini game grlm Kirby Superstar. Not exactly the same but pretty close.
Why did the developers remove the super transformations and allow you to control them? It was so much fun controlling Sonic's super form, Charizard's mega evolve, and same with Lucario. ;-;

10:25 I have to be completely honest with you guys! The PK Starstorm has always been one of my favorite Final Smash!
Yeah it reminds me of the Draco Meteor move in Pokemon
“The move is unique to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. However, the name may be a reference to Luigi always being in his brother's shadow, as Luigi was originally just a palette swap of Mario for player 2. The North American version of the game also implies that the Negative Zone is the representation of Luigi's negative feelings about being in Mario's shadow.”
“Although Puff Up is not an attack in any Pokémon game, Jigglypuff - as the "Balloon" Pokémon - is stated in the Pokédex to be capable of inflating its balloon-like body, and its evolution Wigglytuff is described as being able to inflate to incredible sizes. These abilities are shown in various media such as its appearances in the anime, where a recurring individual Jigglypuff would puff up when angered, notably growing to an incredibly large size on one occasion during a visual gag, and one particular instance of a giant Jigglypuff that fought a giant Alakazam and Gengar.”
“While this move does not pull directly from any particular Zelda game, the Sheikah eye symbol represents the Sheikah clan, which Princess Zelda claims to belong to while in the Sheik persona. In official artwork for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Sheik is depicted fighting various monsters with a dagger alongside Link, but in the actual game she is not depicted fighting in any capacity. Sheik uses kunai daggers for her basic attack string in Hyrule Warriors, in which she uses a highly acrobatic fighting style that involves attacking the same enemy from multiple angles, which may have inspired this Final Smash.”
"Galaxia is the name of Meta Knight's sword in the anime, Kirby: Right Back at Ya! A legendary sword with immense power, it appears to be a mere hilt when sheathed, with the blade forming after being drawn. The multi-pronged design first appeared in the games with Kirby Air Ride, where Meta Knight used it in his appearance as a playable racer. At the time of Brawl's release, however, it had never been referred to as Galaxia in the games. Kirby's Epic Yarn, released after Brawl, is the first game to name the sword Galaxia. "Aura Storm is not an actual attack in the Pokémon series. However, it resembles Hyper Beam, a special Normal-type attack that, while very powerful, forces the user to waste a turn recharging after a successful use. Most fully evolved Pokémon can learn this move, including Deoxys and Lucario itself. Aura Storm's color scheme in Brawl resembles Hyper Beam in Pokémon Battle Revolution.”
“While the move itself is original to Smash, it takes inspiration from several Nintendo peripherals. Accessories such as R.O.B and the Zapper used light and laser technology to function, with R.O.B specifically detecting light changes on a screen to activate one of several actions.”
“Super Diffusion Beam and Guided Robo Beam are a complete Smash original, having no equivalent in Gyromite or Stack-Up, the only two games that are compatible with R.O.B. The Beam aspect of the move is very loosely adapted from the Optoelectronic technology used by R.O.B. and the Zapper to communicate with games.”
The move is derived from the various poses that the trainers and players are required to perform during gameplay of the Wii Fit series. The silhouette art-style used for the attack matches the yoga poses seen on the Japanese boxart for Wii Fit, as well as Wii Fit Trainer's character poster.
The Miis’ final smashes are based on other’s final smashes and probably also inspired by things in Wii Sports, Party and Mii Plaza

U don't like masked dedede??
Sonic should have also be Werehog.
Ness w/ PK Rockin omega works, Robin transforming into grima or replacing chrom w/ Morgan in his current FS works too
You know what could work for a future Smash Bros game? If you're either given the option of what Final Smash you want, (Especially towards the fighters that have had multiple Final Smashes throughout their run in Smash Bros,) or have each playable character get three Final Smashes based on what direction of the analog stick is when it's about to be activated. Neutral and Side Final Smash would be the same, and both the Up Final Smash and Down Final Smash would be different.
Yes! That’s what I’m thinking!
they did that with cloud (his advent children alt lets you use omnislash ver 5) but maaaaan i wanna see it with more characters
Custom Moves but interchangeable final smashes
or maybe it depends on Color, so inkling could have various ones
I was literally thinking that when I was watching final smash videos! if a person specifically doesn’t like a final smash, they could just change it to the one they like from older games.
Things like this is the reason why I love Smash Bros
3:05 I DIDNT KNOW THE DUDE GOT A WHIP

You could say that Jigglypuff's Final Smash is the Minimize movement but inverted, meaning it enlarges it instead of shrinking it.
36:16 Here for a meme? You’re welcome!
This was introduced in Brawl but it feels like final smashes have been around since the beginning, well that was the plan
41:08 actually in wii party U for Brawler, in dojo domination if you get consecutive wins the you'll will perform a blitz attack
For mii sword fighter, the closest to final edge is the charge sword attack in battleground Z in mii plaza
Gunner Kinda resembles mii force with the Lazer move.
57:37 steve at end got me
21:24 the closest thing you get to the origin of this move is galaxia darkness from meta knightmare returns in kirby planet robobot
In Smash Bros. 6....
Waluigi: Mega Strike from "Mario Strikers Charged"
Dixie Kong: Hyper Rocketbarrel (Diddy Kong's echo fighter)
Chibi-Robo: Giga Robo
Rayman: Legends Showdown from "Rayman Origins (intro)"
Krystal: Team Star Fox
Geno: Triple Moves from "Super Mario RPG Remake"
Dr. Eggman: Death Egg Robot
Shadow: Super Shadow (Sonic's echo fighter)
Ninten: PK Starstorm (Ness's echo fighter)
Skull Kid: Majora's Mask from "The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask"
Bandana Dee: Flare Beam from "Kirby's Return To Dreamland"
Alear: ??? from "Fire Emblem Engage
Crash Bandicoot: Boulder Dash/Aku Aku Invincibility
Isaac: The Judgement from "Golden Sun"
Noah/Mio: ??? from "Xenoblade Chronicles 3"
Paper Mario: Crystal Star Power from "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door"
Karate Joe: ???
Ryu Hayabusa: Art Of True Inferno from "Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge"
and Delphox: Blast Burn from "Pokemon X & Pokemon Y"
Smash 6 is actually ultimate because smash 3ds
Sonic's Final Smash origin here is incorrect.
Super Sonic first appeared in Sonic 2, not Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
they might be referring to hyper sonic maybe?
The way it controls in Brawl & Smash 4 is similar to the controls of Super Sonic in Sonic 3 & Knuckles
@koopaproductions395 In Doomsday Zone, maybe. But, in regular levels, he controls the exact same way he does in Sonic 2.
Super Sonic couldn't fly until 3K fool
@@nothingrhymeswithorange5294 Yeah, what he just said
Imagine a smash character getting a final smash originated from a smash trailer
So Samus’ Zero Laser was first revealed in Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s 2006 E3 reveal along with Zero Suit Samus, but now Zero Suit Samus shares her final smash with her armored counterpart.
If you mean from an earlier game’s smash trailer…
If you count melee’s opening as a Smash Trailer since it was used to reveal the game at 2001 E3, Yoshi’s final smash originated from a Smash Trailer.
Additionally, even though their game had released early in japan, Corrin had a final smash completely original to smash first shown off in his trailer. It has only been up until recently in Fire Emblem Engage it has been intergrated into the main series.
@@taiphonix9232yeah fr about Yoshi’s final smash, tbh it legit goes hard tho
Yoshi!
I love to see the origins of every Final Smash.

The ultimate montage
There are some final smashes that I think would've worked as a trapping/cutscene final smash:
Bowser Jr.- Shadow Mario slams his paintbrush on the ground and creates a giant paint monster to eat the fighter
@@waheedabdullah6371 Jr Final Smash should have the same paint effect as Inkling.
@garvensman I would've made sense if there wasn't too many cutscene Final Smashes immediately pausing the game.
@@garvensmancorrect, in the 2018 e3 direct, sakurai said that the final smashes are fast and right to the point so you can get right back to fighting, also increasing damage to an opponent in a 1v1 to pick up the pace but not in 3-8 player battles so that the pace stays the same
52:25: Game Over
Mario Finale is his version of the Kamehameha, change my mind.
...It's not even a laser.
Ryu left the chat
Epic battles when updates had these.
I still give Pichu’s more points for being more of the reference
I love this!
Honestly, it’s about time Mario gets a new Final Smash. Throughout the history of his adventures, you think he’d get a better one by now. His Mega Strike from the Striker series, Giga Cat Mario, just anything than the Mario Finale.
i prefer giga cat mario
22:29 I actually missed the Three Sacred Treasures.
Sometimes I wish Toon Link had his hurricane spin and Young Link turned into fierce deity for their own final smashes
tbh id rather have Toon Link use tthe Wind Waker as his final smash

There’s too many cutscene final smashes nowadays
@@asafjuarez1 who said it would be???
Technically, the origin of Luigi's Final Smash (Negative Zone) in Brawl is the context of it.
Luigi's existence has been obscured several times by Mario in the games and even in real life (In several games Luigi is not featured, even Bowser doesn't remember his name in Mario & Luigi.) Luigi has to make this zone to feel better making the opposite of what is around him.
Kazuya has the best final Smash as it’s from his final confrontation with his father, Heihachi Mishima.
I forgot that Peach and Daisy's was visually from Mario RPG,I only remembered the music is a sped up version of Coin Heaven from SMB3
I love Luigi's final smash The Polgergus 3000 and G00 and did you know that the G00 was foreshadowing Luigi mansion 3 which would then come out the year after 2019 and I also remeber seeing it in the reveal for Simon and Ricther.
i miss brawl's final destination, i want to play on it but in smash ultimate

Young Link's actually doesn't really come from Ocarina of Time, as Link doesn't use the full triforce to seal Ganon there, and Zelda uses the triforce, not Link, and Zelda only uses the triforce of wisdom, so there are a ton of inconsistencies. Huge shame that it's the same game where there's a meter for final smashes now.
atleast theres smash balls still
