When you remember why Joker's victory is the most natural in this game because Sakurai actually designed the aesthetics of Ultimate after Persona 5. It also makes sense that Joker is the first of the DLC pack characters (no Piranha Plant doesn't count as I mentioned DLC pack which PP isn't a part of)
I just think it's worth pointing out that similar to the Kingdom Hearts theme, a version of the Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest themes also play in the ending of their games too. Mega Man's theme also plays during the end credits of Mega Man 2.
Theres a couple of other flourishes with some of the themes too, the end of Rosalina's is from when you collect a star in Super Mario Galaxy and the end of Bayonetta's is from the jingle when you clear a verse.

If you like 3D Mario or handheld Spyro collect-a-thon games and vehicle building like Besieged or vehicle building in Tears of the Kingdom you'll most likely enjoy the Banjo-Kazooie franchise games. If you like 3D Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, God of War (pre-2018), Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, or any game made by Platinum Games you'll like the Bayonetta trilogy.

Frankly you could cut Lucina, Chrom, Roy, and Ike and the roster would still feel like it has enough Fire Emblem characters. The PAC-MAN origin is from arcade, not NES.
They use Nintendo ports when available, hence why the SNES version of Street Fighter II was used instead of the arcade
