Our Christmas period here in Australia is HOT, so this isn't something i usually buy, it's just too warm and it's not available any other time of the year.. Now i can try and make mine for our Winter. Thanks so much, I am very new to the Foodi world and I love your videos Louise, they are so very helpful. thank you.
I forget to turn on my Foodi all the time!! LOL I'm glad I'm not alone. I love your videos. Had my Foodi for a couple weeks, replaced my old pressure pot that quit. Been happy so far, have to adjust my times. My wife doesn't like my timer going off... aka fire alarm!! Lol
That little stirrer thingy I’ve seen in the past would work great for this. I think it was Barrera operated whisk stirrer. I’m going to kook! I love Alpenrose Egg Nog best here in Oregon
Oh, do let me know what you find. It would have to be silicone coated or at least make sure that it doesn't hit the inner pot when using it, but it sounds a lot easier!
I think you are asking how to thicken it more. Adding more eggs would thicken it or cooking it a little longer. You can also beat the whipping cream into whipped cream and fold it in and I think that would thicken it.
@@sherryking172 Hi, FYI, You can also use a few "More Egg Yolks", to be added in w/ the 10 Eggs she used originally. Be sure to use the separated "Egg Whites" in a timely manner in another recipe, so as not to waste them. I hope this helps too. God Bless.
I wonder if you think the Sous Vide setting on the new Foodies would work better for getting the mixture up to 150? Also would love to try pouring this recipe into a Ninja Creami pint container and freezing it to make some Egg Nog Ice Cream.
I think the sous vide on the NInja Foodi would be great for getting the mixture up to 150F. I also have thought about putting it in the Creami container for ice cream! LOL Let me know if you try it!
@@TheSaltedPepper is your husband videoing or do you have the camera setup freely? If he's videoing you'll need to teach him to let you know when the flashing happens it means you need to hit start .
Pecan whiskey does sound real good. I had to pause early in the video to go get some egg nog. Seagrams 7 was what I had to go with it tonight. About egg nog being pricey, I don’t drink it year round. $4 -$5 a few times through the month works out. Into January I’ll switch to Irish Cream to get through the winter. I haven’t watched the blender version of this yet, but I’m sure that one is a lot easier.
Its great to see a metric conversion with your recipes. Keep up the good work.
I'm trying!

Love it!!
I was just talking about making homemade eggnog, so excited to try this.
I hope you love it!
Enjoyed watching your video , love eggnog too , thanks .👍🥂🥂
Thank you! I hope you give it a try!
My husband is SO excited for this!!!! He’s been wanting me to make some eggnog!
I hope he loves it!
Looks wonderful, can't wait to make it.
I hope you enjoy the eggnog!
This looks awesome, how long will it last in the fridge????
As long as your ingredients are fresh, it should last 3-5 days.

Thank you Louise for making the eggnog to drink. If we cook it a little longer or a little hotter do you think it will make the eggnog custard?
I'm not sure yet, but I plan on testing that out this week.
Maybe taking the finished eggnog then adding a few more egg yolks only would make it into a custard. Don’t know for sure.
And ty for your testing it.
How would you thinker the egg nog? We have been enjoying several of your recipes. Thank you for doing the recipes and videos.

Wondering if an immersion blender would be over doing it.
I was yelling PRESS START but you didn't hear me LOL. Actually, I look for the start button on the IP I am so trained by the Ninja
LOL! I do that all the time!

Kathy doubleu yes, he runs the cameras. He stays busy though and doesn’t always catch my mistakes like that one. 🤣
@@TheSaltedPepper you need to train him right LOL! Happy Holidays to you and yours

Thank you
Rum or brandy in it would be delicious. I might make it in my Ninja blender but make it as a kinda frozeñ cocktail.
That sounds good!

They both are pretty easy, but the blender is more hands off for sure. I do pulse it every 5 minutes to prevent egg from setting up on the bottom.
my son love egg nog ~ I'll show him this so now he'll be able to make it all year round ☺
I hope he loves it!
@@TheSaltedPepper he's in the hospital as of last night but that's going to be one of the first things he's getting when he's released
Lol I have done that also
I'm wondering how to make this a non-dairy version? Maybe coconut cream & cashew or flax or almond or oat milk..🤔
I'm not sure which would work best, but please let me know if you give any of them a try!
Even Lou,s not perfect lol. Sorry Lou but I had to tease you .
Nope... far from perfect!
