I know this is an old comment but just for if you still struggling or if anybody else is - heat up the pin that comes through the PCB and melt the solder onto that, it will then melt down and attach itself. If you try to melt it to the PCB you won't have any luck.

d17a2 is obd2, so no, and cant chip either.
