Smash logic: child with a bat is stronger than advanced space technology, techniques of the gods, psychic powers, and just anything else
I mean... technically the child has psychic powers too he just ain't using them in that instance

Said child has also smashed a lot of space technology to pieces with that bat and defeated what was essentially an alien god. He's got some practice.

Ness has the highest attack in Mother 2's party as well as the highest luck, thus having the highest chance to Smaaaaaaaaash

On a different note, Palutena's is a reflector/counter while (Dark) Pit's is a shield/reflector. Some balancing probably had to be done.
Also Palutena: "One day you'll wake up unable to do things you could in the past."

@@pulim-v His new forward air has so little priority that I've even noticed jabs and Incineroar's command grab destroy it. His new up air no longer has a wind box, thus kills a lot later. His new down tilt may be slightly faster, but it has significantly less range and power. His down throw recieved more knockback, thus making it harder to combo with, and it wasn't a significant amount of power, so it's not a new kill throw or anything.

It can do it better it doesn't mean it would
For anyone confused. The reason why Pit’s and Dark Pit’s reflect doesn’t deal damage is because it’s not actually a reflect, it’s a deflect. A deflect is when you stop the projectile coming at you, but you don’t fire it the way it came from and the projectile doesn’t become hostile to the one who fired the projectile. Shielding at the right moment can also deflect a projectile.

i might be wrong but if you time the attack just right it i think the projectiles can bevome hostile, like if you electroshock villagers tree at the right moment it will bounce back (or at least it did in 4, ill have to test it myself)
I haven’t gotten too deep into deflecting, so I have no idea if it can become hostile but from my experience the projectile becomes passive to everyone and no longer hurts anyone.
Now the strongest reflector goes to Kazuya

It's because it is an earth child and an earth banana not a goddess and a godly banana.

Some things you missed:
- Some reflectors have increased power if activated right before getting hit.
- Some spirits allow you to reflect projectiles by perfect shielding/parrying.
- Ness', Lucas' and Home Run Bat's tippers have increased power.

The only Donkey Kong remix I liked was DK/DK Jr. Medley. The rest were pretty lackluster.
I like the options Ness and Lucas have. When a big energy projectile is coming, I usually choose to absorb it instead because it's easier and I love healing.

Not really, although he spits out the projectile at high speeds, it takes a little bit of time for it to actually come out of his mouth which gives opponents time to react.

I assume they made the change that if it is an energy-based projectile, it will absorb the projectile. If it is a physical-based projectile, it will reflect. This is all assumption by the way.

HammerStix Which is an explosion, which has counted as energy attacks since Smash 4.
Doesn’t have to be a projectile to be energy based.
Dr. G&W. I mean, the explosion itself actually counts as a projectile. Because you can reflect moves like Din’s Fire but it doesn’t actually turn around the explosion. It just turns it hostile to the enemy.

Loch Ness From Earthbound, is this your head canon because last time I checked, as of patch 1.2.1, these characters haven't even been touched at all

And Incineroar's was at around 80%

He still has the strongest backthrow.

Kirby also has a “Reflecter”, which is inhale. However it can only reflect huge projectiles. And it can’t reflect item throws or item projectile uses. So I recommend adding Kirby but using hero for the counter part.

I didn't realize the knock back arc of so many of these reflectors led to flying upward at a slight curve then such a straight downward plummet afterwards.

Coming back to this after learning Kazuya's reflector has a 2.4x multiplier, making it the strongest reflector in the game

Kirby absorbs them to heal himself or spits out a star that doesn't actually reflect the projectile.

I like Falco’s because you can maneuver toward your opponent. Not only pressuring them but putting yourself into a defensive position. Zelda’s is second for me because, simply it’s one of her best attacks and has a long frame delay. Almost psyching you out.

@@steptimusheap8860 It's not, it's a new feature. Previously, G&W's bucket could only store _energy_ based projectiles, such as Samus', but in Ultimate it got a buff, he still can't absorb solid projectiles, such as Link's, but he can reflect them.
I thought if you did some weird glitch he started sliding and reflected everything

I think it would’ve been cool if any of the Link characters could reflect projectiles back with their swords in Smash Bros just like in most Zelda games. Maybe with strong swings like smash attacks, or spin attacks.
Mario has a great reflector when it comes to Samus and mii gunner projectiles same with with his own fire balls but we all know Mario’s cape is used in a sweaty way
