AUSCHWITZ CONCENTRATION CAMP | A JOURNEY THROUGH HOLOCAUST HISTORY

Join me at one of the most infamous sites of the Holocaust (The Sho'ah) where I bring you footage from Auschwitz-Birkenau. Starting off at Auschwitz 1 which started off as a former army barrack, this place was turned into a concentration camp by the Germans in 1941. The place is haunting to visit and the emotions here have to be felt as those who died here are remembered through the various exhibitions. I then venture out to Auschwitz 2 which came to be known as Birkenau which is a short journey away. Here you see what the full evil regime of the Nazi’s did with a purpose built killing factory. Before the end of the war there was an attempt to destroy the camp but there is much that remains and is an educational experience.
