Power window motor replacement - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

Driver and front passenger motors. Replacing a power window motor on a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. This video shows the driver-side motor, but the procedure for the front passenger motor is identical, minus one wiring connector in the door panel.

Thought it was then switch at first (possible corrosion). Switch was clean and concluded it was the motor. Fixed mine thanks to this video.

oh okay.... that thing was the WATER SHIELD ...uh how bad is it if, say, it is completely scratched, what can I use to replace it? like, some plastic bag or something? very informative video anyways, thanks! I'll try to find the same motor for the passenger seat!

Hi, my driver window sometimes goes up and down but internment. We replaced the switch and still issues. all other windows work properly. Could a motor work sometimes?

Yes, Carol...a window motor, like any other small electric motor,, can start acting up when it is going bad. If ignored long enough, it will one day just quit working altogether. Thanks for watching!

Can you please show me how to remove the entire metal piece or how to fix the motor and the regulator. When you buy them they come together so why aren't you showing how to replace the entire piece? I can't find a video on this. Please help me cuz my window is down and I can't get it up because it's automatic and why can't I find a video on this anywhere?! Please help me

it used to be a whole speaker, time and humidity ruined that driver.
can be replaced by any speaker matching that size, but at this point replace the left and right ones.

EVERY TIME I LOOK UP REGULATER IT'S ALWAYS MOTER. ANYONE EVER NEED TO REPLACE THE REGULATOR?

when you buy the motor there is instruction sheets with it that explain how to replace the regulator. if needed.
