You're welcome I'm glad it helped Ford does have a exact part number but when you're broke down no one has time to get to the dealership part stores are the closest..
I can but I don't have that vehicle in front of me at the moment you can give me a video call on Facebook or something like that and I can talk you through it..
Contact the Ford dealership and see if they got the linkage sometimes you may have to open the hole up a little bit on the one from the store with the drill bit..
So I buy the part but I’m not a mechanic can you explain how to go about replacing it. I have a 2014 and I’ve been having this problem but I usually pop it back on myself but it’s happening everytime now
I bought some universal bushings, and I found one that will fit into the linkage arm but won't let the ball on the bottom part get into the bushing. It works for now but isn't connected completely. I'm gonna buy this bushing part number and see if it works. Did you use any grease to help it get onto the ball?
Yes ma'am you can check your VIN number on the internet to see if your exact car has a recall or you can call the dealer and have them run the VIN to check and see.
Sounds like it popped off at your transmission linkage or it popped off at your gear shift linkage if you can find the linkage you can put it back on or push the lever all the way up and it will go in park make sure to have the emergency brake on in car off..
@@roadstoriches5611 Most definitely! I actually bought the part from the dealership. It was $2.05 after taxes. I got an appointment with them on the 28th to replace it under the recall, and they put a plastic dust cover over it .
@@dweezy3100 sweet I'm going up to the dealer tomorrow to buy a few of them 😄 check out the video I uploaded today it's another one same thing on a Hyundai
Why you don't show how you push the part that holds the bushing back down once it pops out how you going to push that back down You don't know You just went to showing what party was and skip totally over how you install it
You're the only one I've seen so far. That shows the part number for the bushing you rock man

Would this work if the car thinks the parking brake is on and just beeps even when the parking brake is not on? 2015 lincoln mkz
No in your case it's a whole separate issue I would try to replace the parking brake sensor are you can ground the sensor switch for the meantime..
Can you show me how to put the clip on ?
I can but I don't have that vehicle in front of me at the moment you can give me a video call on Facebook or something like that and I can talk you through it..

The clear Plastic piece is easier to put in from the backside of the linkage But you still need to put the linkage on the right way
Thanks for the info don't forget to subscribe I'll try it when I run into another one 👍🏾
Does it work for 2017 ford fusion im having the same problem
I believe it does check the location of the transmission linkage out and see if it is disconnected.
I was not so lucky with installing the part.
It will not go into the slots. I’ve been trying for two days.
Contact the Ford dealership and see if they got the linkage sometimes you may have to open the hole up a little bit on the one from the store with the drill bit..
A life saver .. thanks brother

Does this work for an infiniti fx35? My car is stuck in drive pls help
Yes it's just a different location you can locate it on your transmission or it could be at your gear shift..

Sometime you might have you drill it to make it a lil bigger in the inside..
Dope! Also nice oakleys
I appreciate it and I don't leave home without them 😎
WHAT IF THE CAR STUCK IN NEUTRAL?
Same concept it most likely popped off on the transmission or by the gear shift
If it have a re call can i take my car back to the dealer ?
Yes ma'am you can check your VIN number on the internet to see if your exact car has a recall or you can call the dealer and have them run the VIN to check and see.
it’s stuck in neutral back how do you put it back in place?
Sounds like it popped off at your transmission linkage or it popped off at your gear shift linkage if you can find the linkage you can put it back on or push the lever all the way up and it will go in park make sure to have the emergency brake on in car off..
I can’t get the dam thing on!
