I love that someone is bringing Pendragon to screen. When I was in 6th grade, we got to go on a field trip to meet the author after we read the book, and he gave us all signed copies. I still have it to this day, and I love that it’s getting the attention it deserves!
Who was the author? It wasn’t Stephen Lawhead was it?
Yah this is based off his books about Arthurian Legends in a more historical setting.

I must say as a horse rider, it is very painful getting the horn to anywhere. I had one to the chest. It HURT!!!! I now have some mad respect for Brett that she was able to keep shooting while not showing her pain.
Yeah, a saddle horn to the cooter probably didn't feel too good. Serious props to her for taking it like a champ and not letting it show - she's a tough one alright!

It is so refreshing to see that the Pendragon Cycle hasn't relied on green screens so far in the diaries and I am absolutely astounded by the production value even if it's just behind the scenes. I am definitely going to buy a DW+ subscription for this series. I'm so excited! Hoping that Jeremy would keep producing more episodes and possibly underrated shows to come!

This year has been filled with absolute wins for Brett. Congratulations, Brett Cooper. You are truly an inspiration for many young girls, myself included, motivating them to achieve beyond their own limitations. Recently, my team and I won the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition, the first in my country and Africa. I also managed to win a silver medal and a 12-month mentorship program at one of the best South African universities whilst competition in the International Science Fair. Keep your work going!🎉

If you mean the place she appeared to mention him in the video, I think she meant to say "my character's father" not "my father's character". I don't think her father is acting in the film.

Sounded Welsh, not Scottish or Irish. And definitely not Northern English.
I mean, I'm pleased for her but that's not a northern English accent in that clip. It doesn't sound English at parts at all tbh in that snippit and where it does sound English it sounds like a "posh" southern accent not northern be it "posh" or otherwise.
DW's previous movies have been pretty good. Never though they would use one of their hosts as an actor but it looks promising.

Can't wait for this show. Just the fact that none of the armor is screen-printed long-sleeve shirts is a huge win, then you add in the fact that it doesn't look like a generic diverse mess and the actors genuinely seem happy to be there without lecturing us all on the importance of representation and you're pretty much guaranteed to have a winner. Brett looks great in this so far, and I bet she'll also look great when we start seeing more of Snow White.
I've never read the Pendragon books, but as a big fan of yours and of fantasy in general, I can't wait to watch this series!!

I appreciate you sooooo much for actually taking the time to learn how to properly ride instead of having a stunt double the whole time. As a horse trainer/equestrian it irks me when horses and actors are done sloppy or incorrectly. It is a hard and dangerous sport and I very much appreciate you mentioning the protective vest you were wearing as a lot of people don’t realize how risky horse riding is.
simultaneously, it's also fantastic when actors use stunt doubles, as a stunt double's whole job is literally taking the fall; if an actor gets injured or hurt and halts production, it's bad for everyone. actors who always want to perform their own stunts actually can negatively impact the production process. but like you, I always appreciate actors learning to ride horses properly and mimic playing instruments properly. those are probably two of my biggest pet peeves watching any film.

I've only ridden horses a few times, but I felt that c*nt punch in my soul. I'm sorry that description is crude, but I have no other way to describe it lol. This series looks absolutely amazing! I'm so excited to see how it all turns out. Back to good ol' character-building fantasy.
How you have time to do all this and still be constantly posting videos on TH-cam is absolutely crazy to me. You are clearly extremely driven and passionate. I'm going to sign up for streaming service right now. I hope my daughter's have similar drive! My oldest just joined army so obviously she is on track but youngest will be watching Snow White with me. Super cool. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Yes, she has a strong work drive and passion in her work. That is the great thing about being young, they have energy, strength, resilience and health when not eating junk food, playing video games and watching tiktok’s, inside all day / night.

Yes it's great, but there is sleuthing behind the scenes.
She doesn't film a video a day; I tracked her outfit, and she appears to do three videos a day and release one per day afterwards. At the same time, she's got tons of editors and others behind her. She doesn't do this herculean task alone. But it's still much more than we deserve.
It is awesome seeing Brett so happy talking about the movie she is in. Looks like it will be an awesome movie, cannot wait to see it. Brett when I was younger I felt that smack down on the saddle horn and it does hurt for a while. Hope you are better.

I never read the books, but its great to see a take on arthurian legend with Welsh names - the original names spoken at that time. As a welsh speaker, I'm very impressed with Brett's pronounciation of Myrddin and Taliesin too!
I'm praying for the success of this film. This will hopefully be a wake-up call to Hollywood that we aren't interested in the woke indoctrination of our kids.

I love the ones that refer to Merlin's backstory of being raised by the Fae Folk, his costume of animal furs instead of some generic "magi" outfit really adds to it.
Pretty sure the fae dont wear animal furs though... And they dont eat meat. So u dont wear animal skins if u where raised by animal lovers... Or thats atleast my conclusion.
@@SL-mj2eq I see it quite differently, he would have been raised to eat from the land, foraging and hunting, no farming or animal herding. He doesn't cut wood, only using what has already fallen, he hunts but only when necessary to sustain himself, and gathers flora sparingly.
He learns not to waste anything so anything he catches, uses every parts of them from the hide to bone. The only thing he doesn't do is disrespect the animals by profiting from them like selling their parts or using it as decoration, it's all practical use.
Brett, it was neat seeing you in the background of the production diaries. After being disappointed with adaptations, The Pendragon Cycle is getting people legit excited. But most of all, you looked really comfortable on the set and on a horse. You are certainly building on your skills through the process which will help with any future roles that you play.
I'm listening to all the books on audible right now (I had not heard of them before) and literally just finished the chapter where this meeting happened. I can't wait to watch!
About the horses you mentioned, I remember how cowboys that rode them for so long would actually have their leg bones bent overtime, which would be why they walked weirdly; The walking may have been awkward, but I also remember hearing how they could run fast af.
This is going to be freaking awesome. Brett and the rest of the cast are doing an amazing job and everything looks great. the only thing I'm sad about is that I don't know if I can pay for a streaming service for just one show. Please, I am begging you guys at the DW, put this on some sort of physical media even if it is only available on your website. I will definitely buys at least 3 copies since i have friends who want to see this too.

@greyiishness I've found them on Amazon and HPB. I'd also recommend the audiobooks for at least Taliesin and Merlin. Libro has them all and is better than using Amazon's audible.

I didn’t really have any interest in this series when I first started seeing stuff about it, because I didn’t know if the production would be that good or if it would be interesting. But since I started watching the production diaries, I’ve become so invested! I absolutely cannot wait for the series to come out.

I have gone from not knowing a thing about you to realizing you are working on not one but two projects that look so freakin' cool! I don't like politics in my entertainment, especially if it's fantasy, but Daily Wire seems to be wanting to deliver content that I've been pining for. Can't wait to see these projects come to fruition, can't wait to enjoy some good old fashion high fantasy story telling.
The reason more productions don't have BTS commentary like this is because deep down they are ashamed. I love how much all the BTS stuff has been people geeking out about something about the show. The passion is palpable and that is refreshing.

Though I generally agree with you, Hollywood movies today are generally lousy. There absolutely should be competition because that will likely force Hollywood to create better movies and actually care about their quality again.

I had a few equestrian friends growing up, and we also loved writing stories set in medieval fantasy or games in that type of world, so we always joked about how cool it would be to ride horses and shoot bows as part of a movie. Extra points for being one of the bearded women in tLotR, because we thought that bts was hilarious and something great for those equestrians to joke about through life.

I live in Japan, and a thing I never really understood about Japan is that people will watch the same movie like 4 or 5 times, buy like 10 or 20 copies of a CD of their favorite singer just to make sure they're doing their part to make that movie/that artist a success. I finally get it. As someone that is tired of the current trend that Western media is going in, I will 100% be doing my part and watching this. Regardless of whether it is good or bad, it is being done the way it should be done, and that alone is enough to support.

The Welsh legend goes something like this:
Ceridwen (pronounced Keridwen - no K in the Welsh alphabet) the witch was getting her slave boy Gwion to stir a handsome potion she was making, but Gwion got some on his hands (or dipped his finger in) and licked it off, so Ceridwen turned him into a worm and turned herself into a chicken and ate him. She turned herself back and gave birth to Taliesin.
