  • Today, I am reacting to another Jubilee video! In this episode, women had to rank each other based on their attractiveness. Then, guys entered and reordered the women based on their own ranking. This episode reinforces just how different men and women are.

100% & i think the boys picked up on that confidence so sure they were objectively pretty but then you see that they were content with whatever ranking they were given & that is also reassuring that they arent a diva. I agree with Brett that it was wholesome they let the individual people explain what was attractive & why

He’s spot on!!! As the insecure girls were rearranged or knocked down a peg or two it shows in their face how insulted they felt but that’s the experiment or activity they chose to participate in! The men weren’t mean or spiteful, just honest and fair. What I don’t see being mentioned often is how the most insecure girls had no problem putting the two more secure and self confident girls who were also soft spoken and less assertive last or lowest on the scale so not only did this demonstrate insecurity being a factor but jealousy as well

That's just the problem, though: Think about how a football team feels about their best player if he's constantly trying to build up his teammates vs. if he's always pounding his chest and gloating about being the best player on his team. If your team has the former, how's he going to feel if the team is asked to rank themselves based on how good they are? He knows he's the best, but he doesn't want to undermine what he'd rather be doing, which is pumping the other guys up rather than telling them they're "meh."

In the 1970's I was attending a party and I happened to sit beside this girl and we struck up a very nice conversation and this girl had cerebral palsy but we had such an enjoyable conversation that we talked for about 2 hours straight until she had to leave. Mind you I was a very shy guy then and I could not approach any girl to introduce myself. However talking to this girl sort of pulled me out of my shell and this was the first time this ever happened to me. From a physical perspective she was probably a 3 out of a 5 so my attraction to her was something more than physical - her pleasantness, intelligence, and sense of humor. Up to this day when I recall this I slap myself for not asking for her phone number then & I also wonder how's she's doing right now.

I think kids nowadays have been indoctrinated to believe that white people don't think Asians or blacks are attractive and that is just not true. But, if an attractive Asian or black woman has too much attitude, then the attractiveness level goes way down. Some white guys like a little attitude, but most of us don't. There's a lot that's conveyed about a person in the way they dress, the way they move, the way they seem to carry themselves, how they're feeling, etc even before a first word is spoken. A lot of people can't put it into words properly, but they definitely understand it with their body. Of course, it can happen at times that someone whom you didn't think of as a potential partner at all actually becomes one. But it is fairly rare.
Either way, it's a product of human evolution. It's like this because it's an efficiënt way of finding a potential partner. A very good way to filter away about 99% of the people who you wouldn't be able to have a relationship with in the first place (and maybe a handful who you could have one with, but the benefits are far greater than the risk and a few people do still manage to find one in that 1% they initially didn't consider as a potential romantic partner at all).

As a straight male myself I don't speak for all men but I definitely think as males we start off with physical attraction first, so how you look, how you smell what you are wearing how you physically carry yourself and your physical shape... Physical appearance is our eye catcher... After the first few seconds it becomes all about personality and I would like to think for most men personality is way more important but you can't judge a person's personality in just a few seconds so looks get our attention first and then we get to know the individual...
I can't speak to the males in that episode/show but like a girl would say "they are all attractive in their own way" none of the girls were ugly, but someone had to be ranked last and I am sure if there were more than 5 women maybe the ranking would be different...
Keep in mind beautiful is subjective and while generally being healthy and dressing well can go a long way every man and woman has a different preference in male or female appearance so while the girl that was ranked 5 was ranked 5 I am sure someone out there believed that girl should have been ranked number 1 in their personal preference
As a side note, I feel like no matter what the ranking it was, who ever was last or second last would have played the victim just like how the black girl said something about her race and "American beauty standards" and even Brett has to say that had nothing to do with it... Just accept the ranking and move on

Honestly personality goes hand in hand with looks for attractiveness. It’s hard to ignore one or the other. The most beautiful woman could be in love with me but If I don’t like her personality I wouldn’t be with her. And on the other hand a girl with features that I find very unattractive could try and ask me out and if she has a great personality I wouldn’t mind the unattractive features as much. There’s a balance people have to find with that where they find personality traits that they desire as well as a physical standard they desire as well. I wouldn’t ever date a girl I couldn’t have a deep and thoughtful conversation with. But I would date a girl even if she’s not the most intelligent as long as she’s respectful and tries to be insightful. I wouldn’t date a girl who’s morbidly obese. I would gladly date a girl who may be overweight but can both accept herself and continue to work on herself until she feels healthy. I would date a skinny girl even though I prefer girls with more weight on them. But I might not find very skinny features as attractive. However she has the same interests as me she could still be very cute she’s funny she’s confident all those things add to her attractiveness. That’s why shallow people tend to be unfulfilled and struggle to maintain relationships

I am a guy and here is my ranking:
    1. Maria (love her cheek bones and her hair, her shyness. she might not sound shy when she gets interviewed or talks to the other ladies, but her bodylanguage says otherwise. At least to me)
    2. MIchelle (love her cuteness, her round face, and her hair, and her buddylike personality. With her as your partner live probably won't get boring, no make up)
    3. Kaylynn (love her hair and how it suits her face. Love her sporty figure)
    4. Blond Girl (sorry, didn't get her name. When she said that she was a dancer she did it with such over confidence that i did shrink back immediately. And i don't like how she dresses.)
    5. Jordan (she seems like a nice person, but she is a little to large for my taste. Sorry, Lady)
And that is it. And it is ranked purely in regards to my taste. Nothing else. And i admit that i would have had a harder time deciding between Kaylynn and the blond girl, if the blond girl would dress more feminine (or even sporty like Kaylynn) and wouldn't have let that out that she is a dancer like the way she did. It sounded (in my ears): I am a dancer, so i am in a better physically shape than any of you (that might be true, but one should not speak that out in such a condescending manner like she did), and therefore i AM better than you (as i said. That is how it sounded in MY ears).
Can someone please let Michelle know that asian women are attractive? I am pointing that out, because she said that she thought she wouldn't get a high ranking because she is asian. That is nonsense. Race or colour of your skin doesn't matter anymore (unfortunately there were other times in the past. I wish i could say that they, race or colour of your skin, were never an issue..).
It is the person that counts (always has been). I learned that already as a child, although when i was young there weren't many foreigners in school. In Kindergarten none! In elementary school 2. Not that there were both only in my class. In the whole school were 2 (as far as i recall).

Race and color matter, I think objectively Asians generally are cuter, they have childlike features and therefore more feminine in appearance, same with lighter skin, which makes softness of the skin more visible, while darker skin makes one appear more masculine, but of course it also depends on the things you associate even subconsciously with a certain look that came from either personal experience, knowledge of their culture or movies you watched, and I assume genetics.

Attraction to me is the whole package, but you can only be attracted to what you know about and is aware of. So if you do not know a person then attractiveness is mostly or all going to be based on physical appearance, if you know then then the personality will play more and more of a factor on attractiveness the more you get to know them.
This one was hard for me. But I actually found the modest Asian looking girl they put as least attractive the most attractive. Michelle for me was nr one and I agree with the comment made by tkr4693 at 17:00 in the video. Modesty, humility and self-sacrifice is very attractive both physically and in personality.

1: Natural beauty, very cute and exudes soft kind thoughtful shy energy. (As shown by her want to be a 5)
2: Similarly soft seeming a little intimidating in her looks. A more mature version of Michelle in looks.
3: Strong Tomboy energy. Assertive but soft. (Shown by her muscular workout pose)
4: Very high opinion of herself. Seemed a bit narcissistic (shown by her uppity attitude hand on her hip)
5: Seemed to just be lifted up by her peers. Either a high unrealistic option of herself or has very low self esteem. (As shown by her weight and how she was placed at the top).
That’s the energy I got as a guy just looking at them in their placed rankings and demeanor maybe they did too.
Factoring in the talks between them Michelle just was so sweet and humble while the obese one was just very full of herself. While the black girl was just the definition of modern black women (focused on their own oppresion)

See, this is kind of funny. It's interesting the different beauty ideals around the world. I've worked 15 years in China (No 1 could have Chinese ancestry but I can't tell 100% from the vid) and she wouldn't be considered good looking by Chinese people. I think she would barely be ranked average. In China there's very little PC and their beauty ideals for girls are tall, skinny and as white skinned as possible. Perhaps this girl is used to how Asians would judge her looks.

@@nicolasmogensen8727 The Asian girl was definitely more Filipino than Chinese. I lived in China for 3 years. But you are 100% spot on about Chinese beauty standards for women.

16:39 of course they judged based on appearance over personality, how tf else would they have done it? They don't know each other's personality because they've never met before, and the girls have earmuffs on and aren't talking. And the black chick wasn't ranked lower because of her race, she's just objectively less attractive than the top 2 girls. She's not ugly, I'd just rank her 3rd out of THIS particular group.

Yup, glad we all agree. My number 3 & 4 got switched, but that is definitly the order of Attractiveness. It's about looks and body language.
The order could be compleetly different if it's about "like". Cause that would also factor in personality and way of life.
Number 1 would probally be still the same, but the blonde would be dead last.

For me the black one would be last, then the blonde cause she looks dead pan, then the fat one, but really I wouldn't date any of those 3, or even the latina, I would only date the asian looking

My wife ranked what she thought would be my list, and she was 100% bang on, except for least and second least. They could be swapped, but damn, she was pretty much exact.
