I know I could legally move out but that being said when I was 22 my parents treated me like I was a toddler and would be murdered if I went out with my friends. I think it has had a permanent effect on me where I have a hard time seeing myself as an adult now no matter my age. I think this thing might often come from narcissistic parent types, because they see you as an accessory to their life instead of someone that should develop their own life.

Very interesting life. I went through a lot of family turmoil and a death of a brother too as a teenager. I can definitely say that it matured me having to deal with my own side of problems as well as seeing family members hurt. It puts things in perspective because you start to see other everyday issues as insignificant, just things that you deal with and move on, because you've been through a lot worse and managed to pull through.

We try to move on quickly while other cultures have community mourning for many days or weeks. It helps process and in a natural way and in community rather than isolation. We don't process those deep turbulent emotions in the moment in a natural way or in community, and that can lead to the emotions not dealt with and substance abuse, anxiety, depression, isolation and loneliness eating away at us over the long-term.- So very sorry for the loss of your brother. THOSE were the 14 and 15 year old boys who did those jobs. they went and cleaned your glasses and filled your car for you but as we all know those jobs dont exist anymore because who wants to pay anyone money for a job the driver of the car can do themselves?

As someone who was homeschooled. It's not good. You lose a lot of social skills being stuck at home. Also, the person whose teaching you doesn't always do a good job. Once you get to more difficult subjects it's even worse. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

I had two sisters that were twins that were like big sisters to me. One died recently. She was in afghanistan after 9/11 And ran over a land mine in her vehicle. And eventually the shrapnel killed her 20 years later.
Her twin is a mess. Shes like a completely broken human being. I cant imagine what its like to lose half of yourself. And the one that passed had just had a baby.
So sister/twin is now basically raising her niece.
I hope she finds the peace that she deserves. That’s extremely upsetting to hear. I’ll be praying for you

90% of identical twins are not fully identical and have a handful of mutations on average that differentiate them. The brother that passed away may have had a de novo mutation that affected his heart that his brother did not have.

California is 1 of 22 states that is an At Will state which makes it harder to land a job at an At Will state because it is classified as legalized discrimination.

dont know much about brett, all i know is i come across her videos and im like "brett? is this a boy or girl? why does she look like ben shapiro if he went trans? whats going on here?" and after seeing this video i think i understand who she is a little better. being exposed to things like that at an early age can really mature a person. either that or destroy them, it depends on the person and situation and all that.
when it comes to schizophrenia though you do need medications otherwise you're miserable. my grandma was diagnosed with it and before she was she'd be acting weird, saying she saw black shadow people everywhere but once she was on the meds it stopped but the docs did try to put her on more BS and my mom was NOT having it. my mom didn't want her mom to be a bed ridden zombie not able to do anything. luckily it didn't happen, i mean yeah she did lay in bed more after the meds but she wasn't going insane all the time thinking people were after her. i know my mom has always told me she doesn't wanna be a vegetable and if shes in that state to unplug her. im an only child too so if that time comes, its gunna be so much harder because i wont really have others to console about it. a husband sure but its not the same as other family that knew my mom, ya know?
her brother didn't hit rock bottom at that point yet with drugs which is why he didn't want help yet. usually once you hit that bottom, thats when you wanna start getting clean. you get tired of using drugs and the outcomes of it after awhile. if you're lucky i mean. most times people die before reaching that low point because thats how drugs work. real drugs anyways. you always want that next big high so you do more drugs in hopes it works and you end up ODing instead and dying. i smoke weed for a lot of issues but also "for fun" and im addicted to it but i know im addicted to it and after about 3 years of constant smoking, im now starting to not really wanna smoke weed anymore. my addiction to it is slowing down and hopefully i can stop all together. one reason i smoke is to calm myself down. i get stressed SUPER EASILY but weed keeps me calm which is soo nice, you have no idea how nice it is to not be angry at stupid things lol. but thats another reason i got addicted, the nice feeling of not feeling anger and weed isn't deadly so the only harm im really doing to myself is like, smoke inhalation.
i know back in the day my mom had jobs at 14 and we live in upstate NY. i really do think at 14 there should be part time jobs for teens to start learning how to be an individual. again, back in the day, when there used to be gas station attendants? THOSE were the 14 and 15 year old boys who did those jobs. they went and cleaned your glasses and filled your car for you but as we all know those jobs dont exist anymore because who wants to pay anyone money for a job the driver of the car can do themselves?

As someone who was homeschooled. It's not good. You lose a lot of social skills being stuck at home. Also, the person whose teaching you doesn't always do a good job. Once you get to more difficult subjects it's even worse. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
You can get horrible social skills and horrible teachers at public school too....

@@D_Cali_Life I'm in Alabama and I was talking to my uncle about it today and found out that Alabama actually doesn't have a state minimum wage law, so the minimum wage here is $7.25, the federal minimum wage. I did wind up quitting that job and am now making $14 bucks an hour, and I don't get an employee discount or anything but they do give us random $100 gift cards which is awesome

I 100% disagree with her on the “anti-depressants/etc”. I know lots of people and heard from lots of people who eat extremely healthy and exercise extensively, and it has not solved their problems.
