It's so refreshing to see a cast and crew so dedicated to the material rather than a "modern" interpretation.
No kidding! I’ve wanted my favorite book series to be done in live-action for a long time, but never would’ve trusted most studios to do it. So excited for it to be with The Daily Wire!
Will this be a series or a movie? Jeremy called it a movie, but the comments refer to it as a series.
@@hopelessopus660 I believe Jeremy referred to it wrong. He’s posted a bunch on Twitter, and I saw an article online that I believe said it was a 7 part series. Not 100% on 7 parts, but pretty much am on it being a series.
Edit: Also from what I’ve heard, I think the first season they’re making now will cover the first 2 books, so not Arthur or beyond.

As an African, seeing literature brought to life through the means of film by people who want nothing more than just to tell a really great story is a thing of beauty! I love that I get to witness the stories from all over the globe; peculiar in their telling. It really is such an inspiring thing.

The magic of storytelling for sure! I am also particularly fascinated by traditional tales passed down through time from all around the world and how the different environments, cultures, histories, and weather phenomena play a part.

Daily Wire has to work THAT much harder in order to make high quality stuff when compared to Hollywood, who’s been in the business for a while now. This looks a great step in the right direction. It’s so refreshing to see a live action adaptation that just wants to do a great job according to the source material

No freaking way! Pendragon Cycle is one of my top 3 book series of all time. This is amazing! I hope they do it justice. Bedwyr was my favorite character. Him and Arthur were like "golden mead and dark wine poured into the same cup". Taliesin, Merlin, Charis all iconic characters. Some of the most poetic battle scenes ever written. I had no idea this was happening.
Can't wait to read it before the cinematography is released!

Just finished reading the series for about the 30th time. Charis story in Atlantis should be some good visuals, I really want to see her bull dancing with Bel.
@@GiasJulii I was thinking the same thing, and wondering if Daily Wirie has the funds to pull off scenes like those with the quality they deserve. I've always felt like this story deserves to be visually told with a quality level equal to something like "Gladiator". I hope they can do it justice.
@@Grail_Quest So true I hope they can spend the money to make the bull dancing and sinking of the island look good. I have a feeling they will stick as close to the books as possible. If so, they should be very good to watch. I kind of want to see Brett play Merlin's wife, a salty wise ass spear wielding beauty.

Whoa, this actually looks pretty cool. Crazy DailyWire is actually making, like, legit movies now. And that looks like a massive set, with an authentic-looking cast-not to mention it’s adapting an actual IP-so it must have a real budget, even… Just hope they have dialect coaches and historical advisors to round out the quality, and then I wish them success hopefully adapting the full series!
Please please please take your time with this and do the books separately instead of pulling an Amazon and rushing through the Wheel of Times series like the fans won’t care. Lawhead was so careful in how he wrote them and they really deserve to be done epically like the Lord of the Rings.
Amazon's version, if it's even fair to call it that, of The Wheel of Time is such a complete and utter disaster! What an incredible story so terribly ruined 😭
The Amazon Wheel of Time is little better than fan fiction.
I had the same thought. This really needs to be at least a 3-part series, each part of some length to fully capture the breadth and scope of Lawhead's vision.

@@benwolk2028Well it seems Jeremy cares about the project and even temporarily stepped down as CEO to work on it. So I don't doubt they are putting care into it, but I do doubt they will be able to perfectly adapt the book.
If they aren't gonna be spot on with the books, the best I can hope for is they do what Jurassic Park did and put genuine care in the rewrite in a way that works. Spielberg even had the original author of Jurassic Park assist in the movie adaptation rewrite.

Race is the least of my concerns. Integrity to the story & the Faith (since this is an Arthurian epic) should be central. Plus, if the script cites Atlantis as a real thing...

It’s about time someone put these amazing books on the big screen! I fell in love with them decades ago so much so that my own (now grown) daughter’s name, Charis, comes from these beloved books.
I love the Arthurian legend! I hope Merlin is in it too! I’ve been super excited for this since it was first announced!

Stephen Lawheads pendragon cycle?!!! This needs to be epic, and delivered. Hoping DW can deliver on this! This was, is, an important set of books from one of my favourite authors

Greetings from England! As these stories in all their variety are my country's legacy I want to say how surprised I was to see DW do something like this... and then I was delighted. There's soon to be a TV version of 'The Winter King' in the UK and because it's Current Year it looks horrendous. Did you know many of the leaders and political figures in 6th century Britain were black? Well they are now. And it's almost impossible to imagine any TV company NOT doing that these days. Except a company like the DW. So please make it good and stick it to the people rewriting my country's history. Please. All the best.

Yes, now the original English were black, & built Stonehenge. Being 48% English by blood, & Pre-Abrahamic English by faith, I find it to be cultural genocide. Of course Arthur is a combo of several pre-christian historical figures, later blended with Abrahamic aspects because of their undying popularity. Due to blood-memory & ancestral connection, they remain popular despite the molestations of the tales through the ages. This is why like the Abrahamic’s, the Woke’s will mold them to their liking until the older versions are forgotten as well. At some point this has to be “To Far”, & hopefully soon

Woah.... I didn't even know this was a thing. The Pendragon Cycle by Stephen R Lawhead is one of my favorite book series of all times. I hope this is done well and accurate to the world Lawhead created.
One of my favorite quotes comes from Merlin in book two. "Perhaps it is how we are made. Perhaps words of truth reach us best through the heart and stories and songs are the language of the heart."
I love the color and style of Charis's hair and the scenery seems so nice. ❤❤
I am so excited about this series. Like Jeremy, about 30 years ago I read these books. I loved them and Stephen R. Lawhead became my favorite author. Thank you Daily Wire for making a childhood wish come true. So excited that a company that aligns with my values and those of the author is making this series. Hollywood would have ruined it, if they even looked at it.

I'll never forget seeing the hardcover of Hood in the window of my local christian book store when I was a kid. I was awestruck by it and proceeded to hunt down every Lawhead book I could find. I can't believe 17+ years later his work is getting adapted and by Dailywire no less. This will be the first fantasy adaptation since Peter Jackson's LoTR trilogy that is made with love and not solely to be social commentary or poorly disguised subliminal woke indoctrination. God bless this endeavor and all those involved. I cannot wait to see it!
With over four decades of living on planet Earth, I've loved the Arthurian legends for a long time. Stephen Lawhead is a favorite author of mine. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this.

I LOVE Stephen R. Lawhead's books!! I started with the Pendragon Cycle, but my absolute favorite was The Iron Lance from the Celtic Crusade trilogy. I also read Byzantium and am currently reading Patrick: Son of Ireland.

Brett was a Child Actress, so it's not completely alien to Her. I don't think anyone else at the DW has Acted.

I've begun reading the books in anticipation of the series and I'm really enjoying Taliesin so far. This show looks like it's going be very good!
Taliesin is good but the following two books, Merlin and Arthur, are much better. Years ago, Stephen Lawhead used to take fan questions on his website, and I asked him what his favorite of his own novels was (he'd written fourteen or fifteen by that time), and he named Merlin as his personal favorite.

In fairness, I could film a five-minute adaptation of the Odyssey with my cat playing all the roles, and it would still be a better show than Rings of Power. But this Pendragon Cycle looks legit good.
I have never heard of the Pendragon Cycle before until the Daily Wire starts making this. It does look like they are taking the path similar to The Chosen from Angel Studios, and so far, I am so amazed by the behind-the-scenes production of this show. I am definitely looking forward to see this in the near future. ❤
