After being let down so badly by Wheel of Time.. and Rings of Power.. and The Witcher.. and Willow.. I'm really hoping for something that actually respects the source material and just tells a good story! 🙏

You know, it's kinda of nice seeing political figures putting so much time effort and passion into something *not* political. It humanizes them more to me. It's also just refreshing to watch something fun too.

@@promark5317They're adapting a book series based on Celtic Britain which the producer loved since he was a teenager. Obviously the cast will be "white." What else could it be?
Thank you for staying true to European culture and traditions. It’s absolutely unbelievable that Europeans existing is considered offensive. So much for equality logic. Everyone’s culture should have equal representation independently and together alike

It really does look fantastic. They're going all out not sparing any expense. Jeremy is a huge fan of the books, and you know he doesn't want to destroy the story and do it justice.
Everything else has been pretty high quality my favorite being that superhero movie because I thought it was hamy and fun so I bet it will be good. They won't have a bunch of crazy CGI type stuff though because they don't have the money. So I don't anticipate huge magic stuff from Merlin.
I love that they even pulled Spencer into this. That dude is a genius. That alone tells me this show is going to be amazing.
Ok, now this is top-notch production here, especially with the way the production team even decided to make their very own Atlantean LANGUAGE. Tolkien would be so proud right now. 🔥💖
My youngest daughter’s middle name is Charis, based on this series by Lawhead. So excited to be seeing this series come to fruition.

Perhaps people - even the mainstream media - are actually curious about the prospects of this show and are waiting to watch it. The production level is very high and the cast - which is mostly British - is relatively unknown and seems very interesting. There are also many people in the production team that are from within the industry, working in major projects in Hollywood.
Dare I be hyped for an epic fantasy series again? After all these years of disrespectful adaptations, political propaganda and depraved stories? I kinda am getting hyped!

@@storminggale I don’t mean I think they’ve changed the material. I’m just a little nervous because at first glance Charis looks like the girl from game of thrones, and at first listen it sounds like she is speaking elvish. I just hope they don’t try to be too much like other popular fantasy shows.

I firmly believe 20 years from now the DW will be a movie and television studio, that maybe does some political commentary on the side. It wouldn't surprise me if the cut the commentary completely and just focus on creating culture. It would be so cool to see them start getting movies in theaters

Whaaaaat???? Stephen R. Lawhead has been, and ALWAYS WILL BE one of my favorite and most respected authors! He and Peretti are the reason I started writing in the first place.
I had no idea this was happening!! Can't wait to watch Taliesin (turning my head to look at the first book of the series, on my bookshelf) come to life!!!
Respect the source material. Show love for your audience. Pour your heart and soul into the story, and this will be a peerless entry into fantasy cannon. I’m rooting for you guys on this one!

Every one of these production diaries I watch, I get more excited. The casting all looks perfect, especially Morgan. And I won't lie, I got a little giddy and did some girly squealing when they revealed Spencer Klavan is MAKING A LANGUAGE for the Atlanteans🤩 I've been rooting for this since I heard DW was making it, being a decades-long fan of the books, but I'm now starting to get truly pumped!
I have never heard of this series before, but man I can't wait to see this when it comes out.
DW and Spencer Klavan (no relation to Andrew Klavan) should release the Atlantian language to the fans when it’s “finished” as I know I would love a crack at learning it.
This actually looks good. I know the company has had good quality movies but this looks next level production.
The production values are very very high. I'm very surprised by how high they are. This seems like something that perhaps would be comparable - in production quality at least - to GOT and HOTD. Look at the difference between ROP and this show, already from the production videos. It's like night and day.

@@tunkytunkyThe books are not for 11 and up in my opinion. I wouldn't let my kids read them until 16 or so. Same goes for the show, most likely. It's a grown-up story.
This the first BTS video that actually raised my hype meter, and it was considerable.
I'm very happy for the company and hope it succeeds so that they can continue to make them. At least we can know that this isn't going to be filled with nonsense like the rest of Hollywood. That alone makes it worth supporting. If we want entertainment that's not filled with virtue signal BS then we must stand behind it.
At first I had no interest in this series, but then I watched the first of these behind the scenes diaries, and I can see how much care is being put into the costuming, sets, acting, practical effects, etc., now I’m really hyped for it!

I am so excited for this. Pentdragon and The Hobbit were my introduction into fantasy and along with LOtR remain the benchmark by which all others are judged in my opinion.
All these initiatives from DW is planting a seed in my mind that there is hope for this world still. Very interesting!.. These videos are making me want to support you. Only thing that keeps me is that I wish my children could partake but we are not native english speaking.
There is always hope.
All the hard work and passion that's being poured into this series gives me hope for the future of storytelling.

This is going to be amazing. I always loved how Lawhead made Atlantis the origin of Britain's "Fair Folk". So masterfully done. Can't wait for this series. The production value looks top notch. Charis and Morgian look pretty much how I imagined them. Wow! Two beautiful and sweet ladies committed to excellence. Also love that they made an Atlantean language--awesome.

I LOVE Arthurian Legend, and of all the many literary adaptations of this story - the Pendragon Cycle is my favorite. I'm so glad that it's you guys creating this instead of Netflix where it would be laced with MA sex scenes and nasty strange diversity stuff. I'm extremely excited for this project and have dusted off my books only to learn there are now two more... so I'm re-reading them now in preparation for this series!

This is one of those series that had the ability to cross the divide between Christian and non-Christian readers. What readers wanted was a good story with world-building (if applicable) that contributed to the story and vice versa. If a story is so busy talking about world-building instead of progressing the plot, it becomes less of a story. To me, The Pendragon Cycle was a story heralded for balancing story with world-building. Anyway, I am really looking forward to seeing what other stories TDW will adapt.

I have a linguistics degree and I'm a writer and a total language nerd, and it's so exciting to see when a fantasy work incorporates fantasy languages! That was one of my greatest problems with the Rings of Power, when they took Tolkien's world created out of his love for language as art, and completely messed up even the small bits of Elven (those idiots couldn't tell the difference between Quenya and Sindarin, for crying out loud) that they had.
I had some doubts about this project, and this video just skyrocketed my interest into the stratosphere)
The language they created for this sounds so beautiful . Like some kind of mixture of Latin and other ancient languages
Oh, its one of my fav fantasy novels. Beside Tolkien, Sapkowski and Robert Holdstock's "Mythago wood". At first I only noticed that its going to be new TV show and so I was like oh, my not again :D and then I noticed that its producers are from DailyWire - so I think we can be hopeful for that project :)
I can't believe how good this looks. I read those books over and over 20 years ago, and I was so skeptical when I heard an adaptation was being made. Figured Hollywood would ruin it like the Rings of Power.
But this...I'm blown away.
Because it's not being made by Hollyweird.

The actress is nailing it. In the books (at least in this early part of the story) she is exactly this beautiful, creepy little brat. I'm loving all the casting choices so much.
