  • I purchased bedding for my RV from Beddys (bed ease). It is a zipper solution to making the often difficult RV bed. I show how easy it really is.

    So glad you reviewed something I already own! LOL. It definitely is so much easier to make the RV bed with them. We are curious to see how warm they are this summer. Nice video as always Lou!

      Yes, I bought this as soon as I saw your video, lol. I emailed Beddy's who said the cotton is cooler than the Minky. I got the Minky because it really is nice. So far I am happy I invested and got this. Thank you.

    We bought our first Beddy last year. We liked it so much that we bought a 2nd, for when the 1st needs washing. The thing I absolutely love the best about them is that the corners never slip off. With regular bedding no matter what I tried, even those elastic corner grippers, the sheet would still come off of the corner eventually. My favorite of the two that we have is the Farmhouse pattern. My wife likes the other one the best which is the "Naturally Boho".

      I bought the Naturally BoHo. It goes perfect in the camper. So far I am loving it.

    I'm definitely investing in this for my camper. It's pricey, but then again, it's like new sheets+blanket+bedspread which would cost about the same!

      Hi Anita, I am very budget minded in everything I purchase. This has been worth every penny. I love the Beddy's bed covering and would make the purchase again. It is not only very easy to make the bed it is super comfortable. Thanks so much for taking time to comment.

    You might find my idea for getting the fitted sheet on helpful. Search for my TH-cam video entitled " Easy way to install a fitted sheet on a mattress in a tight spot in a RV or camper."

    Looks great! Sounds like it is worth every penny. SO.. Question.. when you are in it, does it feel like you are in a sleeping bag, or just regular sheets? I love the idea and how easy it is to make up the bed. Thanks Lou for sharing!

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      First let me say I just love love this bedding. I got the mink and it is so soft when sleeping I actually look forward to getting into bed. It does not feel like a sleeping bag at all. You can unzip it all the down and past the bottom of the bed. I actually like unzipped only about 3/4's of the way. The true benefit of how easy it is to make the bed though is worth it to me. It was a bear to make the bed in my RV. Now I'm done in less than a minute and no struggling.

      That's a bummer. I had to wait for 3 weeks for mine on back order. I almost went with a different pattern in stock but I didn't, I waited.

      I am guessing that means they are made in China, givers, of course, of the Corona virus. Just a guess.

    That the first time we seen this. Looks like a great idea for tight spaces. Do you have to take it off to close the slide or does that still work the same? 😀

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL, your like me. This has been around for several years and I just found out about it. Yes the bed closes fine with it on. I hated, no I loathed making the bed in this RV because the slide is so deep. This bedding is great for that.

    An alternative to fighting this type of bed.... I just slide that top section toward me and reach everything from base of bed...fitted sheet to top corners, slide the section back to level and finish...

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to do that but then I added a foam and pillow topper which made it impossible to get to the front section. Thanks for watching.

    Okay and are you familiar with the RV Super Bag bedding system? If so, did you compare the two bedding systems?

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes I am familiar with RV Super Bag Bedding. I looked at both before my purchase. I felt the Beddy's system was better for my application. The RV Super Bag is more of a sleeping bag system that lays on top of the mattress. I think that system is excellent for beds that fold up during the day like a class B or van bed. As for my application where the bed needs to be made up everyday I feel the Beddy's is a better choice. Great question and thank you for watching.

    • @VanLifeStorytelling
      @VanLifeStorytelling 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RVHabit Very good and thanks for the honest review and since during the day when I am driving the bed will be folded away as a sofa I agree that the RV Super Bag might be a better choice for me.

    Can you wash it in an rv washer? Or is it too big

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even though it separates into two parts I don't think it would fit in an RV washer.

  • @Itsisawnotiseen

    Where are these made?

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, They are probably made overseas like unfortunately so many other things. However, the quality is excellent and it is the easiest thing I have found for making an RV bed. Although it looks like a sleeping bag, it totally unzips when sleeping. They are definitely pricey but this is one of those 'you get what you pay' for items. I would purchase this again without hesitation. Thanks for watching.

    Let us know how the bedding works out after a year. I personally don't think it would work for us, as we like to sleep with only a sheet in the spring, summer and fall. It appears that won't work with the sheets sewn in as part of the zippered bedding. Also, the task of finding the zipper end to unzip the bedding each night to crawl into bed isn't my preference. Stretching and contorting like that can easily mess up your back if you twist wrong. They need a big loop on the zipper pull so you can use a 3' stick or rod with hook to zip it up to the top, then leave it attached to unzip in the evening. That would mitigate throwing your back out. I guess you could do that yourself with nylon tie wraps and a rod if some sort.

    • @RVHabit
      @RVHabit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The zipper is very easy to get to and not a problem. Although yes the top sheet is attached to the blanket so you may not like that. Thanks for watching and commenting.
