  • Zip Up Bedding is the best idea! We bought Beddy’s Bedding and Zipit zip up bedding to compare and see if it’s worth the price to pay $259 for a twin size Beddy’s. Especially when Zipit zippered bedding is only about $40. We looked for a Beddys alternative because they're not cheap! You'll see the difference in our Zipper bedding comparison.

    If you fight to get your kids to make the bed or you hate to make your bed, get to know zipper bedding. Instead of tucking in sheets and comforters that slide around, you'll have a tidy nice looking bed that zips up. Keeps you warm because your bedding won't fall off the bed. Plus it looks great. What is Beddy's?
    Beddy's Bedding Review
    Beddy's is an all in one bedding set that is sewn together and zips on the sides. Comes with a built in bottom fitted sheet, blanket and comforter. There's also a pillow sham and pillow case that all coordinates. It a sheet, blanket and comforter in one. It all fits on like a fitted sheet. And when it's time to wash your bedding, you just put the entire thing into the washing machine.
    It's all in one. Coordinated and connected together. Easy. In fact, it's named Beddy's to sound like BED EASE to remind you that it's easy.
    What I love about it as a mom is that it ended the fights about making the bed. What my daughter loves about it is she stays warmer zipped into her bed at night. No covers fall off or end up at the foot of the bed.
    You will love that you won't need to nag your kids about not making the bed. Even if they don't zip it up it still looks great.
    If you don't have the budget for Beddy's then you should check out Zipit. We like the glow in the dark, reversible features of ZipIt and it's A LOT cheaper. This is also a Zipit bedding review.

      Oh I see what you're saying. Here's a secret. I never made my bed regularly until I married my husband. He's the perfectionist but now it's easy because I'm in the habit. And our daughter is more like him than me.
      But secret. I'm not authorized to make our bed if we just washed the sheets.
      He's a perfectionist and I don't make it like he wants it so it's his job! Same with the towels.

    You could just use a European style duvet with a duvet cover and a fitted sheet for the mattress. It makes making the bed in the morning very easy and unlike with a top sheet and comforter you don’t get tangled up at night.

    • @seratonin7004
      @seratonin7004 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've used this option before, and whilst it's easier to make the bed, it's not comparable in a couple of other ways.
      Firstly, the zips keep in the warmth, rather than cool breezes sneaking under the edges at night.
      Secondly, it stops the bedding from moving around in the night, or falling off with movement (like my dogs jumping on and off the bed).
      It also has the kind of cosy snugness of a sleeping bag, plus the extra security of the zipper is like a firm hug. It can work for anxiety similarly to a weighted blanket.
      I'm just not sure how warm it would be.

    I’m here to get a review of zip it.
    My daughter has the Beddy and I like to wash bedding every week. For me, the beddy is a pain!! Granted, she has a full size bed so it’s a bit bigger but I have to wash it in 2 parts because they are thick (though indeed very well made). Now because I have a regular washing machine (had a front loader and hated it so went back to regular old fashion washer), I now have to take it to my niece’s house to wash since she has a top loader without the agitator in the middle as mine does. It will not fit in my washer because of the agitator. So now because its so big, I have to wash it in 2 parts and those newer machines with the “bedding” cycle take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to cycle through. So about 2 hours just to wash each piece. Now drying. Oh boy! I have to dry them both separately because they are so big and I have to go to the dryer about every 20 minutes to “stretch” it out otherwise it turns into itself becoming a big ball which then causes the “inside of the ball” to stay wet. So to wash/dry both parts takes me seriously about half a day at my niece’s and I still of course have other bedding to wash on Saturdays (due to Covid, I stay upstairs and she downstairs while I wash which is a pain). I love love the design of the beddy and I love how well it’s made plus it’s really pretty but came here to see if the Zipit one might be thinner therefore more manageable to wash. Since they’re so inexpensive, after watching this review, I will definitely buy the Zipit to compare how the washing goes. Ill try to remember to come back and update. 😊

      @CleanFreakGermaphobe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Wow thanks for leaving us so much detail! I didn't think about this aspect during my review because my washer could handle it. But I can see it being an issue.
      You could take it to a laundromat where you can wash it without unzipping.
      Zipit is more like a sleeping bag. It should be much easier to deal with. I only wish the fabric wasn't so slippery!
      Looking forward to hearing what you think after you try it!

    Hi! I'm in Australia and Beddy's don't ship here, sadly. Given I spend most of my time in bed, Beddy's seems an ideal solution in many ways.
    I'm wondering whether anyone can provide alternatives available in Australia please?
    I'm used to having a mattress protector, fitted sheet and top sheet, then a thick quilt inside a quilt cover, plus an eiderdown across the foot of the bed. I often have a blanket under the quilt too.
    So I'm wondering whether the Beddy's set has more like the warmth and weight of a duvet? If so, adding extra layers of warmth on top of the Beddy's that then fall off seems to defeat the purpose.
    Beddy's is also atrociously expensive when you look at the conversion rates - over $500 for one set, and I'd need more than that.
    Anyone who can provide insight on this topic would be much welcomed. I've only just found this option exists. My search for accessible alternatives has discovered just the zipper sheet sets, not the whole bedding zipper sets.
    Thanks to anyone reading this!

      Yes they are warm enough. My boys have never had to use another blanket or sheet to stay warm.
      We have never had any issues with the zippers. We wash and dry normally in the washing machine and dryer and never take any cautionary steps.
      We’ve had our for about 3 years and time to get new ones. Only because we want a change and not to do with any issues with the Beddys.

      Nope. It zips from the top down. So, you can unzip it down from the shoulder area. That is why I say a double zipper that would allow you to unzip from the bottom would be much better. Now they may have updated the design and fixed this since I purchased it, but I did check a bit back and it was still the same. Don't be confused by the fact that there are two zippers, but they don't function like a double zipper. It's more of a left-half right half single zipper situation.@@kimokat
