- In this episode we'll discuss how to install the Daikin ONE Smart Thermostat with Translation Adaptor for Mini-split and VRV Systems.
Installation preparation and setup discussed in the first half of the video, there are a few important components to look out for to ensure a smooth and successful installation.

It’d be nice to see a troubleshooting video for testing voltages and communication compliance for systems and common issues and gotyas installing and commissioning the system.

Great video! Extremely helpful. My system fan runs very slow with AC. When on heat, the air will blow some of the magnetic vent covers off, when on AC you can barely feel any air coming out. I have read that more air can raise humidity but I do need enough air movement to cool the house. Is there a fan range/speed setting for AC and Heat?

Just answered this on your other comment. Yes, but will all be controlled as one group. Same set point same fan speed same on/off etc. Only ideal when they are all in the same room. If in different rooms use separate stats.
does this work with a daikin ftq18tavjuaaa unit? and where can you get one of these?
Can the One+ thermostat be used in systems with DZK attached to concealed ducted units? Like an FDMQ using a DZK to supply to three zones?
No. The dzk stats take over full control of the unit.
My mother in law has one of these but lately the screen went to a plain white screen, any help please
Plain white screen? Hm first I've heard of this happening. You try rebooting it (remove from wall and snap back in)?

@@willhernandeziam just pull straight out don't twist. There's pins on the back that snap into the wall plate

how do you calibrate the thermostat after install? My dealer didn't calibrate it and it's about 4 degrees off. Looks like I need a 4 digit code to access the calibration adjustment.
@@InverterAlways Thank you. I never would have found that "i" in the corner. I need to add +3 to the displayed temp to make it accurate. Worked perfectly.
@@InverterAlways Do you have recommended deadband and overcool settings for high humidity area (i.e. Florida?) I narrowed the deadband to 3 and set the overcool to 1. Just been experimenting. started with 4/2 and then went to 2/0. Any advice is appreciated.

@@quadcamera Get everything to how you like it? I'm in Florida too and just had one installed. Humidity levels are running too high sometimes. AC company calibrated it and still not good enough.
@@thedude2897 I did get everything the way I Iike it. I use the overcool feature to pull more humidity out of the air. My humidity usually stays in the 50-52% in the summer and fall.
I'm a red seal hvac/r tech. By far the worst thermostat I've ever come across. Not user friendly for average person.

What issues are you having? Most of the time objectively it's something in the setup that gets missed or over looked or it gets wired incorrectly. I've had literally zero issues myself ever setting these up.
@@InverterAlways the setup system is quite complicated. There are no common standards with competitors. Technical support is slow. Did the install this week. Error E77. I checked everything, the system did not start. Tech support couldn't help. Time to set up the system is spent more than competitors. I'll check your channel maybe I can find something usable for that situation.
@@ЮтюбПетрович the first one or two take a bit longer just like anything. Once you're used to it and familiar with it should only take a matter of a few minutes to set up.
1. Pick software package type.
2. Set up wifi.
3. Select equipment.
4. Set any parameters like field settings if applicable.
5. Done.
What product did you connect the stat to? E77 do you mean e7-07? Depending on product it's connected to that code could mean a bunch of stuff.
@@InverterAlways e77 communication wire. We fixed, problem was with a software.

Why don't they just put parameters in the manual like honeywell. Also the app doesn't have all equipment and the people on the phone are kinda useless
What parameters are you referring to? Who are you referring to on the phone Daikin tech support? They should be able to help no problem you can also reach out to your local supplier for support as well.
Nice video. Thank you. But can you please stop the music. It takes away so much from what you are saying, interferes with what you are saying, and sorry, but it's so boring and repetitive.
