Have you visited Singapore lately? I did and was impressed by how seamless entry and departures have become. You don't even see an IO. It is all done electronically.
Yeah but that's Singapore I refuse to believe the Thai system will be that efficient, Singapore is just on another level and Changi airport is one of the worlds best airports for a reason.
Only thing that I wish is removing the 90 days report for the retirees 😅 I know it's hard to adopt and adjusting to new technologies at the beginning especially for the older generation, but I'm sure it will save us so much time once we get used to the new system. When I was introduced to a smartphone first time, I was very confused and hard to adopt. But now it's hard to imagine doing anything without smartphone these days😅 I probably didn't think about coming to Thailand and live if we didn't have internet 😂
I'd rather preregister on an app than wait In line for a hour while they check everyone through immigration, I've waited 2 hours at BKK to get through before... If it speeds things up when I arrive then it's a positive thing.

I only found out about this today, I'm due to fly out on 2nd December, now I will have to use my travel agent to get the visa at a price plus the Visa fee which is £30 uk.
There must be a intelligent reason as to why they make things difficult for us. I assume they want us their spending all our money. But it doesn't seem like it.
How will this impact 90 day reporting? I leave Thailand for 2 months and on exit the new electronic system does not stamp my passport to show that I left the country. When I return to Thailand and after 90 days from when I re-entered Thailand I go to immigration to perform the 90 day reporting requirement. When the immigration officer looks in my passport it will appear that I violated the previous 90 day reporting deadline. So, how do I prove to him/her that I am still in compliance without the in and out stamps in my passport? Will I be required to pay a fine? Is there still a way at the airport to request that my passport is physically stamped by an immigration officer?
@@susanzimmerli5178 I sure hope so - because now without a physical stamp in ink with signature in your physical passport - you have no way to prove your exit and re-enter in case said system does not reflect your reality. Then you would be at the mercy of the immigration officer.
And what happens if we require proof i.e. stamps in our passports to physically show that we have not been in the country for more than 179 days (tax reasons). Will there be a counter where we can go to and present ourselves in order to obtain the necessary actual physical proof?
Indeed it is ridiculous! When a country ( and not only Thailand) is basically running quite well you will see that the civil servants are getting bored ( everything is working not too bad) So they start creating things to try to make it even better but then you get systems who do not work properly anymore or more problems or more complicated and to solve that they create an extra system and so on and so on and in the end nobody knows what is going on and with the digitalization they can blame in the end the computer programs and you understand that that has to be solved too and the circle is round!! It will never go better!!
I am 67 Years old and I don't like change, but in saying this, the next generation will make it so, that all you need is a mobile phone to enter the country, weather we like it or not Ben, times are changing, and we as an older generation have to try and keep up with it. or just don't bother travelling anymore. .... But I like your opinion on all things Thai, Many Thanks
The substance of this video comes down to "my horse and buggy works fine, why would I need one of those new fangled automobiles". Just because you don't understand it or the system behind it isn't openly disclosed doesn't mean it's bad. Adding a basic level of entry isn't really a problem, if anything it works to prevent over tourism like you will get in places like Japan. In my eyes, this is a collaborative effort by both the MFA and the MoI (specifically the Immigration Bureau) to tackle corruption and crack down on those abusing their status in Thailand.
Yeah and those pesky people who refuse to continue with their vaccine schedule these people are a threat and according to you it would be like using a buggy when cars are available if we didn't demand to see their certificates.
If it isn't broke dont fix it. Thailand just seems to copy what other countries are doing, they dont look into the way things work or why they need something.. Madness. Keep it simple.

Welcome to the N W O and the digital ID
Yeah and the only reason Thaksin’s been allowed back. He’s been given the job to get the digital IDs through into the Thai system of government.

How long before you’re accepting a digital ID, then a chip under your skin, all for the efficiency and convenience. Slaves.
And you get an immediate email on entry, saying how long you are permitted to stay and how to extend your stay. Very impressive.

Immigration looks into the system and not only into passport stamps. And you‘re registered in the system
LOL... You don't think they know you left the country? Every time you scan your passport, they track you in their database.

How much U.S.dollars can you bring into Thailand from America?
It was $10000, but that may have changed.
Total confusion for tourist
Thai politics listens too much to America. That's where all that nonsense comes from: SDGs, climate crisis, digital currency and ID.
It's not from America it's specifically the Davos private jet crowd, IMF, WEF, BIS & their agenda items.
I thought its all coming from China 😉 Why would Thailand want to join BRIC states then?
