Hey man, I just wanted to ask that can I really ask 1000$ for a website if I am not much experienced? I am just starting development after learning the basics.
Good points: weekly meeting, paid weekly, communication plan. Good customers must have resources to include both finances and time. Without adequate time or money, you cannot be successful providing services. Good point about bad clients keep you from finding great clients.
Hey Aleksander, this was some helpful insight. I've done Upwork before and I honestly didn't have a good approach nor any experience with clients, but now I have completed roughly 20 projects on my own. After watching your video, I really feel confident about going back into Upwork.
@@kodeDev Hi, Kev, and thank you for getting back, I saw your response just now. For some reason your comment gave me the impression you have been mostly freelancing wihtout much 9 to 5 work experience in an office. As somebody who is currently learning to code I would, of course, go for a traditional career shift with a 9 to 5 on-site job, but, hey, I don't wanna write off freelancing -although in the beginning I will not have any previous experience (can have a portfolio though) So any tips and advices in that direction would be great. Bro, I was hesitant to click on your video, I thought it would be a pessimistic doom and gloom about freelancing and how its not worth it but your content is the bomb, Ive subscribed just because listening to you I feel like I am making more money already
Thank you for sharing Aleksander Vitkin, you really have an impressive story in freelancing. Thank you for taking time to share tips. It will really starters like us.
wordpress developement is only simple if you mean installing some plugins, slap on a bloated marketplace theme and an even more bloated page builder and call yourself wordpress dev. if you do it right, it is not that easy.
Do you recommend selling yourself as a solo practitioner? Like "Hi, I'm John Doe..." or as a business, like "Hi, I'm John from [Company name]..."? Also, is it recommended to operate under an LLC?
You really motivate me to finally start learning skills to make some good money as a freelancer so I can finally become location independent. I got fired on purpose to chase my passion as a writer but it's gonna take a while to make money with that since finishing a good legendary book takes time. But I need to learn a quick skill so I can earn quick cash in the meantime to keep myself being able to chase that dream. I'll start with WordPress. Thx man. 😎

My job I work now people would complain about it on reviews and in the comment section. When I got there it wasn't that bad. I going to watch more videos get a better idea of what is going on and let experience be my teacher.
In the race to the bottom that most freelancers participate in, it's already crowded. However, offering highly in-demand niche services to real businesses is very much not crowded and will stay profitable for the foreseeable future.
Very informative video, thanks, can u make a video how payment works (I mean what all charges need to pay and what's the exact amount I m going to revive ) on upwork
i have built a few shopify stores, from purchased themes, and now studying programming taking the web dev industry as business/web developer. Do you recommend customizing from themes or fully building out shopify themes from scratch?
This is some great advice. But as a novice, with some html /css knowledge.. I just don't know how to justify a 1000us bid for a job. It seems overwhelming for an inexperienced wp dev.
Hi Aleksander! How I wish I've known your vlogs sooner. This is really great! Thank you so much. However, is it necessary that when you're starting to become a web developer, you really need to niche down? For example, my first client would be from a food business. Should I focus on delivering websites about food business? I'm really curious on this one because I'm a little bit confused.
You don't need to sell to a specific type of client like "food business client" when selling on Upwork. Sell a specific type of website instead built on a specific platform.
Biggest question I have is (currently I am learning and have studied Vue.js and Laravel courses) when and how to know if I am ready to get into the freelance business?

Authorised access using gmail id. students fill forms, submit feedbacks and submit assignments. database is mainted with authorised access and some other features. pls tell if i can get freelance customers. Thanking you.
No matter what platform someone more experienced with more review gonna take my job. Upwork is worst because they give only few attempts and if none of your proposal gets accepted by clients (again because more experienced people takes it away from you) then they will block your account permanently. Edit: watched the part where you talked about getting 5 revs. 👍👍
Can you advise a path to learn web development, what is the best course of action to learn it fully, which language or technology is to learn to start a freelance web development??
well you have to decide, frontend or backend. During the time you trying to think about it just be learning javascript cause that is used on both frontend and can be done on the backend. Then go udacity or udemy. Pick good curated courses and start learning.
Fundamentally the automated extraction of data out of any website/public facing resource is illegal. Otherwise the company/product would've given its customers an API. But everybody seems to do it like it's no problem at all.
Why would someone trust a random freelancer to build a landing page for £1000 when there are hundreds of freelancer with hundreds of 5stars review that charge way less ? I’m not sure one should start charging £1000 to build landing pages with 0 freelancing experience.
