Thanks for the review. This case looks very similiar to the Nzxt 340/Elite, would you rather reccomend this case over the S340? In my opinion the Nzxt looks better for almost the same price range and i don't see much differences in functionality.

I thought this could be good, then I saw the I/O is at the wrong position. I would choose Enthoo Pro M or Eclipse P400 over this.

If you get a chance to review the Thermaltake View 27, I think you'd enjoy it. Some really innovative aesthetics, yet similar features to these other atx mid-towers.
Quick question, I am looking for a new headset and I'm wondering if I should go for the Hyper X Cloud 2, Sennheiser 300, or the Logitech G633. They all seem like awesome headphones and I want to get the best bang for my buck. Gonna be used for PC gaming, Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch mostly.

the S340 beats this in every way, i really feel corsair have stepped back in case design the 400C , 600C , Spec Alpha , Spec M2 were all great cases at there price point these i feel are just made to jump on the LED EVERYTHING craze with most money spent on tempered glass and less on more essential's e.g. PSU shroud and cable management

The s340 is my favourite case for my budget but it should have been made slightly longer so that push/pull water cooling radiators could be supported because AIO coolers like the Artic Liquid Freezer include 4 fans
Is there a dust pop filter that I could get? For the 270? What type are the USB ports? 2.0? 3.0?

Hey I would greatly appreciate it if you could do a video or segment on which case is the best. I know you have a top cases of 2016 but maybe break it down by tower size (itx, mitx, ATX, or small, mid, large towers). As well as price point. So best mid tower below 80$ best 100$-200$ mid tower. etc. If something cheaper is just way better as far as design and thinking then if it is lower than a given price point mention that. Such as an 80$ case outclassing all cases in the 100$ to 200$ range. I'm looking to buy a new case and honestly. I want the best all around for looks, money, design, neatness, dust filter placement, storage capabilities, and PSU shroud.
P.S. based off your reviews is what I will be buying for my next 3 builds. So I hope the companies sending review models and sponsoring you realize the power of these videos. All of your critiques and recommendations for the last three corsair case videos I have agreed with. please let corsair know!

I wouldn't mind the front I/O being out of sight. big advantage for my set up because I have USBs and audio running to the bottom and then the back of the PC before making their way to their destinations .
would be cool to see the front IO be swappable on either right or left side.
I'm going to defend the front panel I/O a little, because for a long time I had my computer on my left hand side of my desk. Granted, this renders the window completely useless, but this case comes in a windowless version (less expensive too!). So I'd say if you want your computer on the left side of your battlestation, this case is a great option.
Definitely need a "Best Mini ITX Case 2016" Dimitri, its been a crazy year for m-itx cases and 2015 was almost as great. Would be a big view video too I'm sure :P
What is better? Zalman Z11 Neo, Zalman Z9 Neo, Corsair Carbide Series 100R Silent edition, Deepcool Kendomen? Anything else 50-100$?
I wonder if they sell magnetic dust filters that would accommodate the top of the 270R?

Will the 400c's dust filter fit on this case? I'm planning to buy this case over the 400c, I'm just curious to know if I could purchase a replacement dust filter for use on this case.
I don't understand the appeal of glowy thing on comouter and mouse etc. Window make it much more louad, since best headphones are open. Having as silent PC as possible is imo preffered.
I agree with the silentness of a PC. I highly prefer a silent PC over one that looks good. However, given the silence of computer components these days with noctua fans, and (when configured right) nearly silent watercooling loops, people can have a computer thats nearly silent and looks pretty cool. Plus, its more of a personal preference thing :P
Can you turn off the fan LED at the front? It clashes with my all blue setup, also I get why people wouldn’t buy this because of the front IO but it doesn’t affect me since I use a wireless headset, so this case is absolutely perfect for me - someone on a budget. This review was very helpful, thank you dimitry

the io is behind because most people put the computer to their right, that way the cables can run behind the system and look cleaner. I love that location
Sad with the compromises on this case, I love how simple the front is. Would have been easy to clean it up.

So, What's a good tempered glass case with no usb 2.0 on it and will fit a 280mm radiator either top or front, and is not to future esk looking that Dmitri would personally use?
See through side panel so it is going to most likely not sit on floor. Then why top I/O would be better? Doesn't it bend your cables?

i may have an explanation for the placement of the I/O on the left side. Imagine you have the case on the right side of your desk, on the floor, so you can admire that glass panel, but now the leg of your desk would be in the way of the front io on the right side, thats why it is smart to put it on the left side XD

Sure, you could buy a dust filter. Dimensions may be off, so you might need to form the correct shape yourself.
Decent case, but lose the LED fan and add a top dust filter. Unfortunately other than a scratch-tastic window plastic panel, the Define S beats this into the ground for just a few more dollars, and lately I find the rigidity and general build quality of Fractal Design cases to far outstrip Corsair, for similar money. Nice review Dmitry! I like the fact that you've added a bit more panache to the review while going back to your slightly older format of giving really detailed information without taking 25 minutes to do so.
I undertsand why the put the IO there. So if you got your case on the side so only see the insides, the cables go behind the side of the case you don't see and don't flop over the side or front. Anyone agree???

i Have the case now for one year and i realy like theIO panel on the side because then the blue light doesnt distraxt you when the pc stands on your desk (right side)
Not cheap enough to justify the absent top filter. What is it with these companies? I wouldn't go to the trouble of trying to create a positive pressure environment to have their design screw it up. This was a deal breaker for the FD Nano S as well. It can't shave that much off the cost surely!?
GTX1080 Gamer well to be fair I was quite impressed with the 460x until it became apparent that the gap between the tempered glass and the frame was to be a dust magnet. I quite liked the idea. My project is stuck between Phanteks, Thermaltake, Fractal Design and NZXT, though the latter was scuppered by its apparent inability to contain the Enermax black CPU cooler I had my eye on. I suppose I could change on that, but I'm not sold on AIO, yet.
Phanteks p400S, Fractal Design R5 window, or Corsair 270R?
I want to like this case, but I have an old DVD read/writer and I feel bad having to not use it. I was aiming for a SPEC-03, but they got more expensive recently.
BTW what fans does the case have, are they the Corsair 120 AF/SP fans by any chance?
Great review as always but I have to say that I agree with you on a lot of things said about this case, the thing just screams cheap to me with the way the top flexed a little too much there and lack of a top filter... I dunno man, the Define S is a 2 year old case and it does a way better job with the Moduvent design.
Even tho they don't offer a top filter either... The Define C in my opinion does help to make up for that but it takes away some stuff that in my opinion didn't need to be changed like the drive layout with the way the drives face but that may have been unavoidable with how they shrunk the case down from the Define S.
would it be wise to leave a book or something to the top to prevent the dust from flowing inside? when power off of course :D

Having just moved cases I think there should be a test of a case's ability to stow cables by building with a non modular PSU.
Guys i was thinking about the eclipse 400p, where i live it's priced around 80€, do you think there is a better option for that price? What do you suggest?

I'm building this config for someone else, and funny enough my knowledge falls a bit short when it comes to more affordable parts ,:D
I recommended him a 500w psu, which should be enough for a 970 + i5 6500, the thing is i wasn't aware of the subpar quality of the common 500w psu choices, it looks like lepa, corsair vs500 and such are rather trashy, i was thinking about the seasonic s12II 520, is there something good and cheaper? Or something better for the price? Keep in mind it doesn't need to be modular or semi mod, as long as the quality can support several hours per day and it has PCI-e 8+6 for the gpu it's fine.
For the 6500 i would get him an entry level air cooler, that should be enough right? I was thinking about the CM hyper tx3 evo.

I have a question, what should I upgrade first, cpu or gpu. I have a AMD fx 6300 and gtx 750ti, and I was wondering what to upgrade?
Wait until Januaray for AMD's new CPU's. Then you can decide whether you want to take an Intel or AMD. If you are more into gaming, I'd advice upgrading your GPU first. And when you saved money for a new CPU, get that one (maybe even new motherboard as well)
The only Corsair case I seem to ever build in these days is the Carbide 200R. My clients are happy with it, and it seems to hit all the marks. And yet Corsair can't build on that success for some reason with the new stuff they have here.
The I/O Location doesn't bother me at all. I use a Bluetooth headset with mike and route my keyboard and mouse cable to the motherboards I?O like the average Joe. I would have love to seen rear lighting for plugging things in though and an SSD tray on the left side wall in the case to show off the cool design on it or the NZXT HUE+. Other wise I love it.

Front I/O should've been on the windowed side of the case. That way you can look inside AND use the I/O.

it sooo feels like this whole line of Corsair cases was the beta version of the case and not the final product... cause each case fixes some problem you noticed from the previous ones but skips something else that should have been there but they made it a more premium feature.... THIS is why I went to Fractal Design n NZXT... all these mistakes that others don't make
