    We need more cases like this! Just a minimalist black box with a solid tempered glass side panel (on hinges). That's the way to go!

    Just did a build in this case with MSI Gaming M5 ATX mobo and had no issue fitting 3 120 fans on the bottom, there is just enough room to tuck the cables away behind the fans and makes the system look cleaner.

    I have to say I was very impressed with this case. I bought one because I find the layout pretty well thought out for the size and very unique. I wasn't expecting much for a $90 case but the build is top notch. The steel is probably nearly twice as thick and very sturdy compared to a lot of other steel cases I've built in lately from corsair, Nzxt, Fractal, and so on. The attention to detail is awesome as well for a case at this price. You can tell in win didn't skimp on qc on this thing which is great since when most companies who make higher end products throw out a budget line qc tends to go out the window. It may not be the popular opinion but I'm glad a company put out a product like this and didn't include cheap preinstalled fans. If they did include fans it would more than likely bump price to the $120-130 range for something that I would more than likely junk anyway. As stated in the video cable management isn't the best strait out of the box, the front i/o cables are also multicolored party wires which is meh. The feet are sort of a cheap feeling plastic. Lastly I'll also mention the expansion ports not having thumb screws which I'm not sure why I find that an issue since realistically how often do you change components out back there? Overall I feel they did exactly what they were planning with this case. While this case may not be the best option for someone just looking for something easy to build in. The case does leave tons of room for modding and very intentional placement for custom loops and cabling to a point that it feels like that's exactly what they were going for.

  • @Ace12GA

    I'm still rocking this case at the end of 2020 on my main gaming computer. It's the third system in that case, but still going strong. I've also picked up several other cases in the last 4 years, some with tempered glass, some with acrylic, including an InWin 101. It doesn't really get touched on in this review, but I feel like InWin really nailed tempered glass side panels. Every other case I own with tempered glass uses 4 screws; same with the acrylic ones for that matter. InWin uses a frame on the glass, and quick release systems. The result is a side panel that is really easy to remove and install, without covering in finger prints. The 303 and 301 have the nicest, while the 101 series is pretty easy compared to any 4 screw system. It seems that their cases with tempered glass, since the 101, use the same mounting system as the 101, which is pretty dang easy and nice to use.

  • @ther4v3nnevermore23
    @ther4v3nnevermore23 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    OMFG!!! So much potential here. I could see greatness in this case with a 360 AIO lq for the cpu and 120 AIO lq for the gpu with pressure optimized fans at the bottom. Throw in a NZXT HUE+ unit in one of the SSD brackets and add the illumination at the bottom, top, rear and front of the case. Man, you are talking about a beautiful system right there.
    However, the downside is that you will have to velcro straps to help with cable mess in the top chamber and at the back. But, man that build would be awesome.

    Have this case, can't tell you how much i love it, yes the bottom IO is hard to access with fans installed but I don't really need to access it on a daily basis anyways, no rubber grommets suck but oh well, with the way the fans are mounted and controllable lighting with the mobo and ram it just makes it all look so damn sexy

    • @krazykat64
      @krazykat64 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Prateek Kumar No, they'll just cause your PC to act up due to heat build up from lack of proper airflow and drastically shorten the life of your components and hamper your ability to overclock. No big deal, right?

    • @SwaggyMcSwagSwag1
      @SwaggyMcSwagSwag1 8 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      John Montgomery I live in India. If heat build up "drastically" reduced component lifespan I wouldn't own any electronics. They're devices, not people. They can operate normally for a very long time until they're considered legacy hardware. You'll replace them way before that happens.

    My PC, built by CyberPowerPC, is currently using this case and I have no complaints. I chose this case because I thought it looked cool and because it was labeled as "high air flow".
    On top I have a radiator with 3 fans which are in taking air, one exhaust fan in back, and one in take fan on the bottom. Seems like they should have switched the direction of fans on top to be exhaust according to this video?
    My 970 gtx sometimes reaches high 60s under full load, but my i5 6600k, OC to 4 GHz, never gets over 40c.

    honestly, if anything could be done to this case to make it better than it already is.
    - Little bit more room in the case for sli + intakes
    - RGB Front panel lighting
    - Maybe remove the panel tab at the top and make it a flat panel.
    All in all its a beautiful case!

      It fits mITX, mATX and ATX motherboards. And with what the video points out about the bottom connectors possible issues if the bottom fan slots are occupied then I would say this case is best for an mATX setup.
      Although I doubt that by using a ATX board you wouldn't be able to use any bottom fans at all, it may be a bit tight, but there are definitely fans that would fit there if you only make sure to plug in the connectors on the bottom of your motherboard first. Unless your fans have somekind of super-beefy shroud for some reason.
      But still, going with mATX in this case would allow you to fit a nice, thick 360mm radiator at the bottom aswell and make for a sweet rig with a custom loop. Not sure how easy that would be to do with a ATX board. But I'm thinking about picking this case up next week and see if I run into any problems fitting my Z97S Krait ATX board in there.

    I usually always criticise case manufacturers for their high price points, but seeing INWIN offer something with temmpered glass and a decent aesthetic at a price this low makes me happy. Good job INWIN, although this case could use some improvements, it's still a good offering for the mass market.

    @Outfrost 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Every time I'm just about to call a new case "THE case for me", the manufacturer screws something up massively :P
    I would probably buy this case, if it had normal, horizontal HDD mounting options (modular cage for the main OR top compartment? hello?) and a bit more thought put into the airflow, so that it doesn't shove hot air into the PSU (I have a SeaSonic SS750AM2 and it already has a high fan curve sucking air in from the outside of the case, let alone if it was sucking hot air from the components). But nevertheless, this one is a pretty neat offering for watercooling people, provided that they put a filtered intake fan on the back :)

    Interesting case, though there are a few small issues that on their own would be fine but add up. I think using flush screws on the side panel would've looked better. The layout doesn't seem to focus enough on utility and seems awkward. If it went on sale or had a decent rebate I could see using one and it being worth taking the extra time to customize it.

    This is such a nice case, sleek, tempered glass and it's $89. However, there are some downsize, especially air flow. This case I could see buying but in the long run, there could be issues. I need to buy a case that will last me atleast 4 years. My first build is Corsair 500r, Dec 2012, looking to rebuild in Dec 2016 so I am looking at the moment and waiting for the sales to buy my components. But this time I am going to spend extra on the GPU, and less on the case so I probably will compromise. I had my eye on the Phantex, tempered glass edition but it's way over my budget. But anway, great video, it's nice to see high def video with the pros and cons. Awesome ++

    Would you recommend putting this case flat like desktop? maybe have the top exahaust as intake?

    Call me crazy, but I think making the case a bit wider with the psu farther away from the top exhaust and in a seperate chamber would have been better, so long as they accommodated the airflow change. Or maybe made it taller with a psu in the dead top of the case and the exhaust chamber below it. It would be quite top heavy though.

    Sooo
    I want to change my case and I'm undecided... I like both this and the nzxt 440
    Here they have basically the same price and their dimensions are similar
    I have an Atx board and a gigabyte windforce 760 (i'll probably get a 480)
    The idea is to make my build more silent (i'll also get a new cpu cooler) and put it on my desk...
    Any suggestion??

  • @Tea-Rex
    @Tea-Rex 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    negative pressure, perforated pci covers and top psu shroud make god damn good arguments against this case. the reason i do forgive them though is the price

    • @nimrodery
      @nimrodery 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you use the bottom fan mounts and rear exhaust as intakes you should have positive pressure. I've got enough spare thumb screws lying around to make this thing a very nice deal.

    • @Tea-Rex
      @Tea-Rex 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      nimrodery 3 bottom intake 3 exhaust top 1 back if you use them all i guess. you could go just for psu and back and mount 2 bottom ones to compensate but it doesn't look cool lol

    • @MrHendrikje
      @MrHendrikje 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      what i would do, and i don't really have much to say on airflow as i hardly know anything about it.
      Use the top and bottom as intake and the rear as exaust. The PSU should still ahve a decent amount of cooling.. But the nagain it could have negative outcomes doing it this way..

    so if there is no frontal ventilation do you just put fans in the bottom and make them pull air in?

  • @iharvalianski7843
    @iharvalianski7843 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ah, found it!
    A few questions:
    1) Will it support Corsair H100i V2 - in push and pull configuration
    2) Can it support Maximus HERO ROG Motherboard with Crossfire or SLI? As it seems to me a few expansion slots will be lost (blocked ) if SLI or CF is chosen?

    • @Matt_uniqueHandle
      @Matt_uniqueHandle 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      1) Yes, it supports 240mm liquid cooling, so H100i V2 should fit.
      2) Yes, it is supported. I don't know about slots being blocked or anything though.
      Source: using CyberPowerPC custom configure.

  • @ZenMasterChip
    @ZenMasterChip 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sounds like I was fortunate, but it's been a year. My glass is smokey gray, so no real color tint. I don't hate this, although I was planning to install an internal CD/DVD R/W drive... oops. Thank goodness I have a USB one on another machine that will take an internal R/W drive! Had mine built by cyberpowerpc mfr... so I see I'll have to check that they didn't muck up the airflow around the power supply. The case is beautiful... I love the design, but one external slot for the R/W drive would have been possible, and very nice! Lots of room, breezy, looks clean after install. Lighting is also nice, a showpiece. With a few modifications I think this could be one of the best designs out there. Can't beat it for the price.

  • @Thatrollingmaster69

    I would easily buy it, if:
    1. it had some room for fans in the front of the case for air intake,
    2. it had rubber grommets and cable tie loops for better cable management,
    3. the illumination was RGB for variety purposes

    I would say drive bays in the exhaust area is a bad idea as they would get really hot if you install an all in one radiator

    • @Demon09-_-
      @Demon09-_- 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      were you able to fit all three fans for intake as on mine it was quite tight and my 3.0 headers are by the mobo power. I Fear motherboards with 3.0 down below would never be able to fit all three

    • @Doostie
      @Doostie 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, just make sure you know how to cable manage, what i did is hide some cables under the mobo, yes the cables may bend a bit but you can hardly see it, i have rgb lights in my case too, i used extensions for my fans as well

    • @Demon09-_-
      @Demon09-_- 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dusty Senpai i think if a usb 3.0 header was on the bottom of the motherboard it may take more than just bending the cabled youd end up having to offset a fan with adhesive tape or a zip tie. unless you somehow managed that with the 3.0 header down on the bottom?

    • @Doostie
      @Doostie 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Damien like I said I just threw most of the cables that where connected to the motherboard under the motherboard and the cables bend a little but you can hardly see it anyways

    • @Doostie
      @Doostie 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i routed the usb headers under my fan, well to the side. I have the fans from my h100i V2 on the bottom and replaced the fans that was supposed to go onto my cooler with cooler master blue led fans
