- Alex teases the upcoming engine build before tearing apart the Skyline. Daryl sends the interior off for reupholstery. Then Joe heard we were tearing into a car and tries his hand at it, tearing away the rear quarters completely. There isn't much left of this thing when we are done!

Oh thank god someone’s finally done the vinyl and stripes correctly it bothers tf out of me whenever I see one with completely blue stripes even the refresh universal did on the one they have at their park they didn’t do the fade

Most of us agree with you looking back at our past builds and recalling some seriously cool builds. If you'll notice many of our fleet is black. Our R33 GT-R is black, along with our hardtop Supra, our FD RX7, our DC2 Integra, our untouched A80 Supra, our past Bullitt Charger, the Toretto Charger, and an upcoming overland Excursion.

I can't wait to see the plumbing for the dual nitrous purge. I've been trying to work that out on my vehicle for 3 years. I call it the "Skirt Lifter."

You guys could 3D print a replica Veilside oil cap for sake of continuity for the build right? As long as you aren't selling recreations, it should be okay right? And much cheaper than $3500
There's a company that makes a copy for $35.00. I just don't think they want to use it. If so I have the link.
Honestly, a replica wouldn't be wrong on this since this car isn't a true GT-R and just a reskinned GT-T. Don't misunderstand though, I get not wanting to destroy a true GT-R. So a replica part on a replica GT-R for a replica movie car fits honestly lol
We will see. We don't have qualms with replica parts on the build, but using the Veilside cap doesn't seem like it's going to happen unless we find one for a song!

We do have a KITT car in the background. We are still gathering parts for this build. Good stuff coming for that this year. The Batmobile would be fun but a very impractical car to drive and we do love to drive our builds! But who knows?

Both of the skylines are pretty popular.
They are, but then what's the most popular car in the franchise... and I can't think of one. The Charger technically, but has so many variations.... besides they already built one.
Daryl owned the blue GT-R used in the 4th movie so we have been holding off recreating that build.
Ayo my guy there’s no comparing a 1jz to a rb25dett the 1jz is the better block higher quality build and more* consistent bore spacing sizes the 1jz gte may get over looked because of it’s younger sibling but in my opinion it’s the best sounding low displacement inline 6 😮💨🐉
They do have similarities which is all Alex was saying "my guy."

We've explained in other videos why we prefer the Neo head RB25. It's going to be so much fun. The interior scheme color isn't being changed. And the quarter panels were cut and removed as any body shop would. Not sure how any of this suggests we aren't PURSUING perfection. But this is another example of how the internet knows best.

why did they butcher those fenders! come on
Looks like the fenders had some extra seam sealer on them. They wouldn't come off the right way so we had to use a little extra force. Good news is it doesn't have to look pretty coming off as long as it looks pretty going on!
How much it will cost a car like this one ?
We don't have a full tally yet, the car is not complete.

It would be more than $100k. We have thought about doing a video with the totals of everything on the Supra and the Charger. When this Skyline build is done we could do this one too.

Just getting the skins off the quarters. They don't need to look pretty. Also, one of the quarters was replaced already and they used extra seam sealer making it near impossible to remove it.

Honestly, as much as i love the GTR i'd take the GTT over it. Reasons being that the cost to insure, the fact they're a priority target for car thieves and the constant worry of being hit by some idiot while driving it.
Those are very valid reasons. We were just thinking of how fun a rear wheel drive car is over an all wheel drive. But you're right too.

To get the wrap to adhere we would still have to alter the bottom of the panels. We are going to just do it when Daryl isn't around so he doesn't have to cringe.
