I seen one for sale, but I wanted to do some research before getting one. I don't know why people are complaining about the workflow. This looked super simple
This is one of the few tutorials that doesn't assume I've been playing with these kinds of devices for ages already, and I feel a lot more like I can kinda get something moving on it now instead of just kinda poking at it and making it make noises. Thank you!
It’s funny how many people are griping about how difficult they think that mv-1 is, you’ve never used a drum machine before? It’s not complicated at all, all hardware requires a learning curve your not going to pick it up and instantly be a expert, learn your instrument, and you don’t need a damn big touchscreen to make beats, get that out of your heads, you make music with your ears not your eyes, great informative video by the way, love your enthusiasm
I make the beat in Fl studio. Thats what i understand best. Everybody has their style. then bounce out to pro tools. Im studying mastering now. Keep it up ill watch em all .
Bruh all yo videos are really helpful I’ma artist and always loved beats. This is definitely making me want to start making my own beats and being more well rounded appreciate you bro 💯
Sup pal love your vibe how you feel about this device a year later ? Sweetwater has a sale an I’m looking for more sounds and a step sequencer . I been using. Mpc live for about a year but it seems like using these two together would be sick
Hey family, question, does the maschine pluse from native instrument do the same thing?? Please get back to me asap, I'm a rookie to all this and this is the maschine I coped bout a month ago, by the way God bless and thanks for all the content man it truly helps, you a true blessing bro.
Thanks for the overview man ! Regarding vocal tracks, can you really layer them or is it comping where you have only 1 track playing simultaneously ? Could we use it to record both vocals and an analog instruments and layer them at will ? A bit like clips on the Maschine+ ?
someone posted about making a waltz I tried it i choose 4-measures played it then went to edit step seq to 48 from there i edited the first and last note on each midi channel set the STA to-20 and the length to 1.48 give or take
It's better for me to do my drum patterns with something like this. I usually do them in Logic Pro but I don't like looking at computer or laptop monitor for long periods of time.
You want him to compare a music production unit to a controller? Well if that’s the case and I didn’t miss something here you go. A controller is just that a controller it doesn’t anything to make music you need a PC or a sampler or a music production unit to make the controller do anything because all it does is control other gear. The MV-1 makes music it has a synth engine that can make any sound you want. It has samples called drums kits to make drum tracks. It has the ability to record audio into it and make new sounds. And it can even record vocals. Their really is no comparison to a music production unit and a controller. This music production unit is $699 and does everything from making a beat to mastering a beat. The controller is for a nice one $200-$500 and it does nothing on it own you will need: a PC, Fl studio, Sounds, plug-ins, and more cost $1000 if you actually buy legit. So I hope that helps you out if I was wrong about this conversation Ahh disregard this and have a nice day. And that $1000 is on the super low end. I just remember and audio interface, cables to hook everything up together, Oh and this is a big one a pillow. Ya, so when your PC crashes to the blue screen of death you can save the neighbors ears as your cry and scream into it because you was making the hottest beat ever and you didn’t save and now your SOL because windows sucks and FL maxed out your cheap pc and now you feel like give up on music. Well, have a good one. Choose wisely my friend.
They are different approaches to beat making and recording, the Roland is more of a old school primitive approach but if you can grasp the workflow it’s a great machine, the akai offers a bigger touch screen and offers more tracks to work with, but 16 tracks on Roland is plenty for me personally, I don’t need 132 tracks, that’s redundant and unnecessary
Question: when changing pattern mesurses , (lets say to 4) i don't see an indicator anywhere. How will I know when I'm nearing the end of the 4th mesure? Is it only by listening? Thanks in advance
I have heard this thing has a cult following now. I have also heard it's a pain in the ass to learn it because it can get complicated. What is your experience with it over the last 3 years?
I seen one for sale, but I wanted to do some research before getting one. I don't know why people are complaining about the workflow. This looked super simple
It is, people are too glued to screens
I thought I'd need a phD to try to figure out how to make music. This makes life so much easier. Thank you for sharing.
So easy and fun!

Which is better for producing professional sounding hits, the Roland MV1 or the Akai MPC One?
For real professional production neither
Man, "Thanks!" Thanks to you I am moving forward! That smile you gave after putting in the high hat, says it all! (6:14) Thanks again!
Nicely done!! I know I seen this workflow before, this is the Akai workflow, and I love it!!

Aloha Wayne,, I am thinking about getting this unit to add some dazzle to my DJ 707M. So you think this unit would be good for that?

When recording should I record with auto tune on my vocals or should I add auto tune after I record vocals
If you record with it on, you wont be able to change it, but you get the feelig you want right away. That has to be your choice.
Wow sick vid!!!! Love ur channel !
This was great, thank you!
I’ve been learning from you thank you

Do u feel this is simpler than Akai products?

I can’t wait to order mine in the morning

I have heard this thing has a cult following now. I have also heard it's a pain in the ass to learn it because it can get complicated. What is your experience with it over the last 3 years?
