@@rolandzenbeats Great Job ROLAND! 😀👍 The Verselab MV-1 is a great piece of hardware and very powerful with its near limitless potential. I agree as a mv1 buyer that adding this laptop/tablet screen interface is major deal, and making zenbeats seamlessly integrate with the MV-1 has to be one of Rolands top priorities. Adding big improvements or cool software into zenbeats will bring out much more of the hidden (on the mv1 surface face) strengths of the MV1, which is key to making the Verselab MV-1 the song making Studio in a box for on the go travel music production or a home studio setup. It will work seamlessly for both. The regular updates, bug fixes, new stuff being added to Zenbeats software for MV-1 is really the secret weapon of the MV-1 in challenging other competitors, like the akai MPC1 or others, and keeping the Verselab top tier in its category for years to come, and not just the new flavour of the year etc. Its partly why I invested in Rolands portable & professionally capable Aira series as a future music maker! I think Roland is on the right track, because the Verselab MV-1 has the potential to dominate the market and be AIRA’s flagship harware product for Roland for the future if they keep improving the interface access to bring out more & more of the strengths buried below the surface of the hardware! 😊 Without adding deep plug’n’play functionality and yearly fixes and software boosts to the MV-1, its potential will fade much quicker into obscurity, verses keeping it a regular priority will make the mv1 another legendary piece of kit or hardware for years and decades to come! 😊
Just tried this on my VerseLab....doesn't work, the driver bit is all setup, but when I start ZenBeats it says Loading MV-1 and hangs..... When will Roland fix these bugs!
I have VERSELAB MV-1, I like everything about it, EXCEPT, I'm not able to record pitch bend, sustain, or modulation midi signals from my keyboard controller. So using the amazing array of onboard sounds is not the greatest without pitch bend, sustain pedal, or modulation. If anyone figures out how to do this, let me know. I'm a keyboardist, so synth leads and Rhodes sounds need that pitch bend and sustain pedal. The pads are great, but for soloing, I need my keys. I thought I could find something in Zenbeats, but I didn't. The fader and parameter integration is really nice.
Installed the drivers on my MacBook, plugged in my verselab, opened Zenbeats, opened new song, clicked on + track and the options for the MV1 tracks are missing. I know the MV1 is talking to my MacBook because I get the option for the verselab editor on the Home Screen. Zenbeats Version 2.1.0.8310
@patchworks media I wonder if you solved the issue because I got the same one. The editor works fine but that's about it. Once I reboot in vendor mode, nothing works : no editor and no mv1 tracks. @Roland zenbeats Can you check this ?
I have followed all the steps but I am not getting any options in Zenbeats for stems or any audio from the Verselab. I am on the latest firmware and I have installed the drivers and I am on Vendor USB mode. I am able to open the parameter mode but I am not able to get audio file transfer in Zenbeats. The mv1 does show up as an audio device on my mac and the install helper says the drivers were installed. I don't get the three mv-1 track types as options.
I have the similar issue. Not getting stems MV-1 option in adding track window. It writes to reboot the driver on MV-1. I did it but not have that stems. Any help what might be issue to solve and open the stems? Thanks !

I’m about to order an iPad for my MV-1. What cables do I need to buy to connect the MV-1 to the iPad & will the MV-1 power the iPad so there’s no battery issues.

@@rolandzenbeats Good to hear, just spent a small fortune on Roland gear including Zenbeats. I would appreciate these videos being in 16:9 format like this one, and not 4:3 format as of recent. They look cheap and awful mate..
Does ZenBeats work with a Roland hardware like the fantom or the Juno DS where you can upload tracks from your keyboard and track out individual parts just like the versa
You can save sounds to your SD card and bring them back and forth to your computer devices. It may require a card reader or adapter or USB. Just depend on how you roll!
Not currently. You can 'fake sidechain' using the 'motion designer' though. Basically applying a LFO waveform to volume level to get that pumping effect.
Thanks. That should work for a classic pumping fx. But only on a very basic kick rhythm. I hope they’ll implement a way to choose a source on the compressor and limiter. Anyway, very promising box, just a few things like side-chaining, stem export, iOS multi-track out, easier access to personal sample library and maybe having more than one FX per track would make it a no brainer. Already a pretty good package for a V1.0x firmware though !

Without adding deep plug’n’play functionality and yearly fixes and software boosts to the MV-1, its potential will fade much quicker into obscurity, verses keeping it a regular priority will make the mv1 another legendary piece of kit or hardware for years and decades to come! 😊
Pls how do you connect to a iPad pro?
Why don't you see the levels on the mixer and where is the vocals????
Just tried this on my VerseLab....doesn't work, the driver bit is all setup, but when I start ZenBeats it says Loading MV-1 and hangs..... When will Roland fix these bugs!

@@rolandzenbeats ZenBeats support is utter rubbish, I sent the issue weeks ago and NO one has contacted me, this ZenBeats is a waste of money
Hi. I have created a song in zenbeats. How can I import it from the verselab?
Installed the drivers on my MacBook, plugged in my verselab, opened Zenbeats, opened new song, clicked on + track and the options for the MV1 tracks are missing. I know the MV1 is talking to my MacBook because I get the option for the verselab editor on the Home Screen. Zenbeats Version 2.1.0.8310
Hi, let's get you into some on-on-one support at: www.roland.com/backstage/#/zenbeats-support
Are you set to Generic or Vendor?
@@rolandzenbeats Hi there. I’m set to vendor.
@patchworks media I wonder if you solved the issue because I got the same one. The editor works fine but that's about it. Once I reboot in vendor mode, nothing works : no editor and no mv1 tracks.
@Roland zenbeats Can you check this ?
Hi! Would be nice to see how much, and what difference, different screensizes makes (from a small iPhonescreen to a big computerscreen).
Great point! We will have to show that off. Which features do you have concerns about with screen size?
Thanks !
What device did you have an issue on? The stem bouncing feature is currently only available on macOS and Windows. We have more VERSELAB integration features coming soon. Stay tuned!

Please tell me which cable to use is it only usb c to b? Or other cables??
I’m about to order an iPad for my MV-1.
What cables do I need to buy to connect the MV-1 to the iPad & will the MV-1 power the iPad so there’s no battery issues.
Hi, Street! Great question. Depending on the generation of iPad, it would require either a Lightning Camera Kit adapter or USB-C Camera Kit adapter and a USB cable. Thanks! 😊
Awesome
So this is just for the MV-Verse Lab, when will MC-101 be integrated? and will it be?
Hey Darren👋, yes it’s just for MV-1 verselab today. There is no news on any MC-101/707 series integration at this time. Thanks 🙏
@@rolandzenbeats Good to hear, just spent a small fortune on Roland gear including Zenbeats. I would appreciate these videos being in 16:9 format like this one, and not 4:3 format as of recent. They look cheap and awful mate..
I need that Zenbeat tee shirt.
drop a request to Roland lifestyle to make that happen! instagram.com/rolandlifestyle/
I can't find the list of the 90 effects it has.can anybody help me?
is there a way to slice recorded samples using the zenbeats app?
Does ZenBeats work with a Roland hardware like the fantom or the Juno DS where you can upload tracks from your keyboard and track out individual parts just like the versa
I’m looking for all away to sort my favourite sounds on verse lap come on make my own collection of sounds, is that possible?
You can save sounds to your SD card and bring them back and forth to your computer devices. It may require a card reader or adapter or USB. Just depend on how you roll!
I can only see the Cliplaunch. No Arranger or Something. Is it a Must to unlock and pay for more Functions?
Is the verselab able to do sidechaining through it’s built-in compressors / limiters ?
Not currently. You can 'fake sidechain' using the 'motion designer' though. Basically applying a LFO waveform to volume level to get that pumping effect.
Thanks. That should work for a classic pumping fx. But only on a very basic kick rhythm. I hope they’ll implement a way to choose a source on the compressor and limiter.
Anyway, very promising box, just a few things like side-chaining, stem export, iOS multi-track out, easier access to personal sample library and maybe having more than one FX per track would make it a no brainer.
Already a pretty good package for a V1.0x firmware though !
The MC-707 is also lacking sidechaining. It can be simulated with automation though.
Too sick!
one touch reverse... proves roland is kinda somewhat listening to its user base
I spent $600 on a verse lab after watching this..and all I get is constant freezes in MV-1 integration mode. Wish companies would just be honest when a product is still in beta
I would really love to see y'all bring midi file importing to the Verselab, like you have on the 707 and 101. I have all three. I got the 101 and 707 before the Verselab. I kinda assumed the Verselab would have it too. I guess I shouldn't assume stuff like that. I still would've bought it though. It wasn't a deal breaker.
will all my settings and vocal effects come through to Zenbets if I transfer it to the Zenbeats DAW??
With Zenbeats and MV-1, you can capture you mix or stems. We cover this in the video. If you have any further questions the best place to reach out to Zenbeats support is at: www.roland.com/backstage/#/zenbeats-support
@@rolandzenbeats I got that but will all my settings come with it and can I transfer a wet and dry version of my vocals, please update the Zenbeats integration to support vocals settings and editing. Look how you can transfer a recording from a DAW to Tascam and from Tascam to the DAW. It is so hard to work with the vocals in MV1 if you want to change parts of the vocals and you cant do the automation. Please update. The vocal part is what makes this box stand out from your competition so more focus on that please
Hi! Downloaded Zenbeats to Windows toaday and tried it with Verselab. Have alot of issues. Music disappears, sections is not highlighted, loading my projects takes forever etc. Anyone else has this kind of problems?
Have you made sure you are on the latest firmware? With Zenbeats 2.1 + VERSELAB MV-1, please make sure you're running System Version 1.03 or later. Get the latest one at: www.roland.com/us/products/verselab_mv-1/downloads/ If that is not the issue then it could be the connection. Experiencing identification issues could be the USB cable. Maybe try another if possible. If the problem persists don't hesitate to open a ticket at support: www.roland.com/backstage/#/zenbeats-support
@@rolandzenbeats Updated to the latest firmware and it works better. Still, if I start to play music from Zenbeats and stops with Verselab, Zenbeats will continuing playing. And if I change tempo on Verselab the tempo on Zenbeats dont follow (the music plays faster/slower tho).
And I got my voice lab three days ago, and I like it, I love the way roland are going with the software. But I urgently need a way to sort and pre-arrange my favourite patches so I don’t have to look too long when inspiration strikes. Anyway how I can collect patches
?
Check out the VERSLAB Manual Video th-cam.com/video/gMBZwXV3io0/w-d-xo.html for a complete deep dive into it. I think we saw that covered there but definitely comment on that video as the VERSELAB team will know what your best move there is!
Am I the only one who’s wondering how did you turn your MacBook screen into a touchscreen. Are you using some kind of software to allow you to touch the laptop screen on a Mac and make it seem like an iPad. Thank you so much anyone else in the group who knows what’s going on please enlighten this fool
Hi! For this overview demo we used a Microsoft Surface Pro. I guess it can be confused for a macbook. We like them both but for Zenbeats... touchscreen is pretty great!
@@rolandzenbeats Then I guess I am really the only one LOL. She is that thing really looked close. Kind of shocked. Definitely makes sense though. Thank you

How much does Zen Beats cost
It is free for a basic account and basic features and then you have the options for unlocking more in the store. The key choices are between Unlocks ($15 mobile, $50 desktop, or all platforms, all content for $150) or getting a membership (starting at $2.99/month that gets you Zenbeats all platforms, all store content).
В моей стране это приложение больше недоступно, так что от покупки инструмента придётся отказаться, к большому сожалению.
We want more, please. How to do proper automation on your vocals and change all other vocal settings??? More focus on the vocals please. That is how this would be so different to the competition and how you integrate with the software, please spend a lot on a MV pro with great build and more direct access to all the settings and make it very easy to do automations and others on the hardware .... it can be the best solution ever, look at Akais pro version, make something like that but much better .... I buy it and many others. Mv1 to use on the go and for travel and a more pro version for the studio. Make it a lot easier to integrate with other synths and other external units. Make it to a super hub
ROLAND PLEASE MAKE A MV-9000! A BIGGER BETTER MV-8800
YES!!!!!
Waiting for the MV 2 with more vocals tracks
its just needs to have more time 12 minutes just ain't enough and who wants to bounce down vocal parts in 2021.
почему недоступно для России?
Why just VersaLab?
Why not MC101/707?
1. Versalab has sysex implementation, MC101/707 does not.
1.1 They (MC's) will be have? May in the near future?
2. Drop out your rubbish MC's dude! Buy a new Versalab! (?!?)
Come on Roland!!!
Just honestly!!!
The MC707 and 101 are never getting zenbeats/extra screen integration, as that functionality is what this device is for and they are grooveboxes. You cant put everything + kitchen sink in one device and it still be usable by anyone (except Nikola Tesla) and forget about even Tesla being able to play out live with that "All In 1 box + piano roll + analog mastering (don't forget the built in mixing desk) + Rolandex (integrated music industry contact list so you can communicate, collaborate, and share all within the device), Full size keys gotta have... and if it's more than $549 all the comment trolls will be hopping up and down on their keyboards. So if you want to make groove box jams into complete finished songs, spend $500 on a used MV-1 and problem solved. Stop complaining.
This is utter bull... I put my faith in this online order ZZAY KNOZZ WHOZZ ZZAY r. Stole me to get commission and then want to keep my money. Next time trusted source y'all 😁.
This is stupid.A product made for dawless use without tone or sound editor.I have to use zenology as a vst on a daw to obtain the sounds i need.
Hey 👋 just wanted to share that you don’t need anything of course like you said but you don’t have to use ZENOLOGY. Use zenbeats! It’s got a plug-and-play editor when connected to the VERSELAB. Editing tones is made super easy... no heavy duty laptop required. Just whatever device you have. Bring your own screen!
hit edit + the value know, then turn the knob to tone editing. Everything is there. It's easy and not too far in the menu.
@@nick9486 are you able to change all the settings in the zen core engine? i think thats what he was talking about, not just a few parameters that have been exposed. im talking like each waveform, envelope, filter type ect. do you need a screen for that or no?
