This video very helpfull . day 19, I can drink and eat well. Hope I can recovery soon. Please pray for me 🙏. Thanks 🙏
I've had Bell's Palsy also for 8 months, almost gone after 6 months, at the beginning I couldn't close my eye completely, now I cannot open it completely and I can feel my muscles vibrating inside. I'll try this exercises now to keep recovering, thanks!
Hi Pepino, I am sorry to hear that you cannot open your eye completely. This may probably be a kind of synkinesis: The muscle around your eye is cramped and tense and holds your eyelid in a half closed position. This is important to understand, so that you concentrate on relaxing and stretching exercises for your eyelid and circular eye muscle. From minute 10:28 to the end of the video, you will find stretching movements for your circular eye muscle and your eyelid. I recommend you especially perform these stretching movements regularly several times a day to reduce the tone of this muscles. Also before you do the other exercises of this video, make sure that you do a relaxing massage of your face (video link in the description) and that you stretch in addition the tense region around your eye. Feel free to let me know, if that helps you. I wish you all the best!
I've had Bell's Palsy for 8 months now it's not visibly on the outside anymore but my facial muscles don't work as they used to. So hopefully this face exercise will help. Thanks
Yes, I think the exercises may help to re-learn the movements in a concentrated way. Maybe you can also discuss the details with your doctor/therapist. There are also possibilities to weaken overactive muscles with Botox. I wish you all the best!

Hello Fatima, in the first days a cortisone therapy is helpful for the recovery process. Later it is important to supply your body well with vitamines, especially the different vitamines B, especially B12, B9, vitamine D3+K2, vitamine C. My best wishes for you and your recovery!❤

Hello Josie, I am sorry that you suffer from bells palsy! It can last several weeks or months, until you see the first signs of recovery (small movements possible), depending on the severity of the injury of the nerve. It is very important that you keep your eye humid regularly with eye drops. Please discuss your situation with your ophthalmologists. I also recommend this website with very useful information for your situation and the eye care: www.facialpalsy.org.uk/support/self-help-videos/management-of-flaccid-facial-paralysis-floppy-face/ I wish you a good recovery!!
Hello, it can take several months. If you still suffer from strong defects after 6-9 months, you should discuss surgical options with your doctor, to create more symmetry in the face. I wish you all the best!
