Having bought a K2 Max, I'd been looking everywhere and trying all the slicers to merge parts. This program did it in a handful of clicks, perfect. I love it. Thank you for the demo.
Not sure if the issue is a current version, but I have very seldom been able to just load all the parts of a model where they are already aligned. I believe it is because there are more than just one artist making the pieces, but someone else more knowledgeable than me would have to verify. For instance, there are a lot of models from Loot Studios and Archvillian Games that split their larger models to be printed on resin, but for fdm we are out of luck. Fortunately, Loot has been providing fdm models for the past year.
Thanks for putting together the video. HOWEVER, this method works only if the pieces were separated by a software that preserves their original position. In many cases you get a model in multiple pieces and 3D Builder will NOT automatically combine them properly. So, your method is always worth a try but it does not always work. Unfortunately.
Can't you just use as slicer like you would if you were printing and rotate and position them to line up prior to using this? Or will that not work? I'm super new to this.
Thanks for showing this. I will try to merge my 3D scanned parts, did you try it? I use my phone to make pictures, then Meshroom and then put them into meshmixer to fix the model, but if it works ill be happy!
@@yoshin-_- hey yosh will this work on separate pieces of a lithophane. I downloaded 3d pieces and want to assemble them together to get a cohesive sized piece of a Star Wars helmet from reference pictures for a project
12 minutes later, clicked 50 different MS buttons to try to download 3d builder. MS appstore, no joy, google app search, no joy... who would have thought that a dude who had windows 95 can't downlad an app in 2024 in less than 10 minuites from the msn download app link.

Tried on several models that came in seperate stl files, none automatically merged.
I need help, it doesn't work for me. As soon as I merge the two prints reset to the original size, snap to build plate and become one piece.
Is this program able to increase the size of the work?
For example, I have a 10cm file, but I want to expand it to 25cm, but that file has many parts.
Tried a number of models, none of which auto merged
