I think they are great, yes they just happen to be hot, so are their songs, after playing surf tunes for 55 years, I know a good thing when I see and hear it.
ditto that..and she's quite a friendly lady too..had a chance to chat with her at recent show in North Tonawanda, N.Y. about those cool blue swirl Slingerland drums.
@@senhoritajones The Shadows: formed c.1958 as the backing group to Cliff Richard, later becoming the most famous instrumental band in the world, with many hits.
"IFIC " is the word all space-age Surfers use to explain the cool tones used ... Drats! Is the word I use for knowing they came through my territory and nobody told me !
The overflow crowd created an issue being able to get into position to get all of the band in the frame. This was the largest crowd we have ever seen at Sundance. That says a lot for the group’s popularity.
Historically, instrumental Surf Rockers weren't usually very high energy and flashy like Dick Dale. Most of them were more reserved like The Ventures. In general, the Instrumental Surf Rock genre was more like Shoe Gaze, several decades before Shoe Gaze existed. Typically, the drummer would be the most animated member in a Surf Rock band. The guitarists and bass players would do a few coordinated moves, similar to what R&B singers like The Temptations did, except that Surf Rockers were usually much more reserved and conservative with their moves. The only real critism that I can honestly offer The Surfrajettes is that The Ventures, who seem to be their biggest influence as performers, smiled a lot more than The Surfrajettes. The Ventures always seemed to be a bit more relaxed and having a bit more fun than The Surfrajettes. They weren't exactly wild men either, but their stage presence was slightly more happy and bit less stiff. Otherwise, they are probably one of the best tributes to The Ventures that we will ever see in our lifetimes, but the Surfrajettes are wrapped up in a much nicer looking package. 🤩
The reason we couldn't get her in the shot was the overflow crowd that filled up the room and we had to move to the end of the room just to get a side angle to the stage. This was the largest turnout we have ever seen at Sundown.
One of the most unique and entertaining bands performing today. I'm glad to see they are finally getting the national attention they deserve.
International attention.

Glad to see they have improved their sound with a competent drummer!
The new drummer is amazing. Saw them live a few weeks ago in Phoenix.
Your sound is always good. The playing is very clean with perfect reverb. I think your live shows are phenomenal. More please !

Just saw them tonight - great performance!
I just love Annie's drumming!

Fact is their fine musicianship and image they have created for the brand, is the way it should be done.
Great music ladies, keep it up
Sarah is a Goddess!
Yes and sadly not part of this video 😢 At least it wasn't shot in portrait!
Call me crazy, but isn't that her in the background?
Hey, Frank, we know what Sarah looks like and that’s her smoking self right there!
@@frankcullen7531 Yeah in the very beginning but she was swiftly cropped out of the shot. I'm used to it. Video folks love to ignore the drummer! 🙃
@@ElDarrenSarah is the bass player.
This drummer should be invited by "drumeo ".. I dig her smoothness and she's as tight as a whistle
Ein wenig wie die Shadow s.Super.🎸🎸👍👍👍
The shadows?

Great !
Wonderful!
Roxy Roller, Couch Surfing.
🙏🏽🙌🏾🤙🏽😁
Quite the rowdy audience!
Was reminded of "Birdsong" by the Grateful Dead

The Surfrajettes play at Sundown At Granada, Dallas December 2nd.
Roxy Roller!
Great Nanook of the North. 😊
👍👍
I'm thrilled....Team Nicole.
A suggestion for a album title Earth's revenge
Woman in the audience chewing gum like it’s the last piece she’s ever gonna get 😂
Had the drummer offended the videographer?

That's the fate of drummers
@@robrobertson4964 Not usually in this case! Annie has been really stealing the camera since she joined the band.
@@rockets4kids why
Better than the original
Почему они играют на старинных гитарах?
Vocals?
No vocals. Just instrumentals. Typical surf band.
I thought Butler quit
🤔
Much disappointment; the drummer is excluded in the video.
Due to the crowd size they blocked us from getting clear shots of the entire band. This was the largest crowd we have ever seen at Sundown.
@@dallaslivetonight No problem; please take action to show all the band members from now on. Thank you.
Thats not a Beehive. The Ladybirds had Beehives, not these people
I think they're awesome but should try interacting with the audience more, maybe they're a little shy
Actually, I think it's part of their act. If you look at some of the surfer bands from the 60s' they always played it very straight and cool.
That's just not their shtick.

Hey Einstein, their drummer is the best and all you do is show the front chicks.Buy a clue.

My God what a boring gig.
not as boring as your mum was last night
