In 1986, a mock trial was held. It is called On Trial: Lee Harvey Oswald. The prosecutor was Vincent Bugliosi. The defense was Gerry Spence. It had all real witnesses under oath. You can find it on TH-cam if you search. One particular testimony I found very enlightening. When Gerry Spence questioned Dallas Deputy Sheriff Eugene Boone. Boone was the Deputy that found the hidden rifle. He said in his testimony that he put his marking on it and originally said it was a Mauser. When the rifle was sent to the FBI, the Mauser turned into a Manlicher Carcano. When asked if the rifle the FBI returned was the same one he had found in the TSBD on November 22,1963, Boone said no. When asked why not, he said because he had put his marking on the rifle he found and that the rifle he was shown, did not have his marking on it.
