  • Hi... Welcome back to my Electromagnetic Train project. I have made some changes to the tract so it is quicker to print also use less filament. I also made changes to the electronics. Now I'm using a Mosfet instead of the Relay, for faster swiching the coils on and off. STL files are available on Thingiverse = www.thingiverse.com/thing:520...

    How are the magnets on the rails placed? (+ And - are racing different direction?)

      All magnets are facing the same way with the pole that turns on the hall sensor facing up and the coils are wired so that they repel... Hope that makes sense.

    What strength are the magnets you used for the track? I made it myself but it didn't have as much pulling power/speed

    You might want to take a look at Tomy Linear Liner L0 for inspiration, as this is a true Mag Lev system for your next project.

      Track is 185mm x 28mm x 5mm the magnets are neodymium magnets 20mm dia x 2mm.
