This is one of the best Game Updates i saw in YEARS. And WHAT THE HELL is this Map Editor, never seen something like this build in with such a great usability. I Started playing again like a week ago, and without knowing this update came out and im just in pure love.
How do you make a conveyor belt lift go up or down more than one level? I can't figure it out to save my life. I can pick the whole thing up and put it on stilts, but it is still only a one level lift! 🙏

"are there any decent game devs left?" what kind of question is that? what do you mean exactly? are 95% of game devs supposed to be mean bastards? Some gaming companies certainly place profit as their highest priority and it is ok to be angry about that (with micro transactions, buggy full release and overpriced DLCs), but devs? what have they done wrong?
Stackable balancers and the elevators are just great :) Those were my nemesis. I tried to build highly compacted and automated and those things were just lying around everywhere. Not anymore!
I HAVE to sleep now, its 3 am... this is an amazing game, and it was one before. But you still find your ways! Some big companies should see you as an example! Happy to support you!

heck yeah! game already looked amazing but those smoke effects are 👌 glad they made the assembler models more exciting than a box with fan on the roof considering how many you make

Seems to be an awesome year for production games! This update was a happy suprise for me, and haven't played since summer 2022. And if I remember correctly Factorio expansion will come later this year, and Satisfactory will hit 1.0
This is a very nice game... Titanium, aluminum, silver and granite mines should also be added. Accordingly, the diversity of production and trade should be increased...
This might actually be enough to have me get the game. Not that it wasn't clearly a solid title - I just felt like I was able to get the itch scratched with other games. Now I'm not so sure.. Looks pretty good.

You came to the right place to seek more realism! Maybe too much realism on some difficulty settings😅. If you give it a shot, make sure to keep on eye on diesel and coal supplies!
I wish the vehicles would drive on roads not just all over the place. I think that would be an aesthetic improvement. Right now it looks a bit silly them driving all over the place.
We wish that too! Functional roads is a feature that we have on our radar for some time, but it's surprising amount of work, especially to make it correctly interact with all the game mechanics such as dynamic terrain. Maybe we will be able find the time to include roads in some future update, but it's still uncertain.
The only thing I DIDN'T care about in this update was the bushes. Everything else is PRIMO stuff! Colored pipes and the icons showing what's inside tanks and trucks are HUGE!
I love the idea of building on different islands and having an inter island logistic network through ships. Will that be coming? I can't find a roadmap
We feel the same! Being able to develop on multiple islands sound like a lot of fun. This is on our internal todo-list for some time and we have some ideas how to solve multi-island logistics. Hopefully we will be able to prioritize this in the future so stay tuned for future updates!
Aren't descriptions in "Casual" and "Realism++" in "Mechanics" tab contradict each other? The "Casual" says belts and storage units won't require power, but the "Realism++" says the opposite. How would the game work if either both or neither option was chosen?
Good observation! Actually, the "Casual" and "Realism" options are mutually exclusive, you cannot turn them both on. Also, the "Realism++" option requires "Realism" (which is not compatible with "Casual").

That would be great, yeah. Unfortunately, animating people walking around is a surprising amount of work. It's not only time-consuming to create many animated 3D models of people but also lots of coding and rendering work to make it run smoothly. We focus our time on other aspects of the game and this may get revisited later.
Why are we getting notifications of new videos, but this is the LATEST one? This is 3 months old and for the last few days I get a notification that there is new content. YT sucks butthole.

I like that the option to watch other people play a game for 2h exists, but I'd much rather spend 2h playing your creation than watch someone play it. I am sure good info is shared, but 2h is 30m longer than most good movies. Give us some ideas, like a 5-15 min tutorial on how to hide pipes under ground and use sorters properly. When new players land on the chan that would be helpful. Thanks for making this game BTW, one of the best sandbox ME time available.
This Update 2 is already a better simulation than Cities Skylines 2 !

That map editor is something wholly unique, must have been a huge effort! This update is DAMN good! Can't wait to start a fresh run!
