  • NLR Motion Plus Platform installed in my DIY sim racing rig paired with V3 seat mover. Upgraded also to Sim-Lab integrated monitor mount. Threw in a Philips HUE Play set for good measure.
    Installation is complicated without help, but doable with my trusty low profile car jack.

    Very nice - What is the internal dimension of your rig side to side, it looks 550mm - where the Motion plus sits

    Amazing rig, but you really need to work on that FOV as it's WAY too wide and distorting the image giving extremely unrealistic perception of distance.

    What kind of amp do you use to connect all of your transducers? Do you use a regular multi-channel amp with LPF’s? Most bass amps I come across are either 2 channel or don’t say anything at all, I wonder how I can get atleast 4 channels to work on a single amp to mimic the 4 corners of a car

    How do you like it with both the V3 and the Motion Plus? Is it too much? I have the V3 and am debating my next steps.

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They compliment each other very well. Motion plus has very fast acceleration but single install lacks pitch effects, V3 delivers nicely pitch and surge, they work pretty consistently together. Motion Plus is great at delivering vibrations in the front as well, almost rendering mu front Auras unneeded. On the back it was somewhat “boring” when shakers are off, but turn them on they compliment the motion plus very well so it became pretty consistent. Motion plus has about 3.5cm travel which is near a dbox system, but it has ridiculous acceleration and narrow “wheelbase”, which delivers big and fast roll angle. Also engine and suspension vibrations feel great - it is truly and amazing compact piece of kit. In my opinion is truly worth it in single platform
      Install and it is actually meant to work together with the rest of NLR ecosystem, at minimum the V3.

      @@57uyo great to hear and thx dor your video! i also have the v3 and installed today two of those beasts. did you ever played formula1? i ask me if the v3 lifts the seat too much up from the ground. what do you think? i will try it tomorrow for myself the first tlme. i am really excited

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@affenpresser I reworked my whole rig, put the pedals much upper now. Have everything correctly according Ricmotech’s guide, feels very spot on. I play very little formula, feels kinda weird but don’t mind, also i am with inverted pedals. Either way main focus for me is rallying so I am pretty happy how it is at the moment. I play rarely VR, now monitor is very near to wheel and feels great, quest 2 just is too ugly graphics so i prefer monitor. Ultimately I plan to add second motion as well, but even with one is great!

    noice build mate... when mounting 2x40mm profiles on the side brackets of the unit (like you did) is it flush with the top of the motionplus? thx in advance

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! No, regrettably it is not. Do not remember how much was sticking, on top of my had on the high setting it was about 10mm - remember it was just enough to make sliding in much more complicated. Since then i reworked the whole rig to 48cm spacing so both platforms drop in directly and make the rig lower. Also raised significantly the pedal plate to fit everything.

    • @devrox
      @devrox ปีที่แล้ว

      do you know wich measurement you would need to have from groove to groove on the rig to mount the motionplus directly on it? or for example wich distance the original nlr gt elite or fgt elite rig has from groove to groove...

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@devrox yes, you need 48cm spacing BETWEEN the side profiles. The original kit is actually 48.4cm, I bought it because of the foot NRL plate but it is very easy to rework your cockpit with only some additional profiles. I also had to order new shorter profiles for my side mounted wheelbase. Here is info on the NRL mounting kit: www.force2motion.de/en/next-level-racing-elite-motion-adaptor-upgrade-kit.html

    Hello! So i bought two unit and installed them really precise, but i am experiencing weird things. My right front foot is lifting up instead of the simrig going down. can you maybe tell me how you adjust the software? what actually type or did you do before racing? it is an odd issue. thank you for your help!

    you ever experienced the heat protection to cut out or shut down the nlr motion plus movement?

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I actually have - how it is setup in this video the fan ducts are blocked half way. I left more space than NRL pictures in manual suggested because I was worried for cooling but yet again it overheated on a 1:30 hour session. I wrote them - no response. Since then i reduced sizing of rig so now it mounts directly on side rails. Made sure no blocks front and back. Never again had overheating.

    • @devrox
      @devrox ปีที่แล้ว

      @@57uyo how heavy is your rig? and what inner space do you have now for mounting directly?

    • @57uyo
      @57uyo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@devrox have no idea - everything is DIY so hard to tell weight. On the other hand with the integrated monitor mount it is definitely heavy on the front but motion plus still manages to be very snappy. Lost a little if the tactile feel for engine vibration in Dirt Rally 2.0, but having tons of bass shakers this does not bother me. Either way I turned down the motion a lot as it still can jump around. Inner spacing now corresponds to the original kit - 48.4cm, moving forward to 48cm flat where the pedal plate is. So what you need is to calculate everything with 48cm spacing basically.
