Now the only thing I can feasibly think of to make this better, is to have a 'pet' Tiger roaming around the room..
This looks pretty damn awesome, I wonder if it will be strange with the whole rig moving but the monitors remaining stationary? I think VR will be king for this set up.
I wonder if moving your body around would shift your perspective in the car with VR though

You absolutely should get a Buttkicker if you can afford to. They're brilliant. Easily the best value for money thing I've added to the rig in terms of the immersion it brings.

@@CarvingCanyons I built my own system with a USB soundcard, a stereo Amp and a low frequency speaker mounted to the front and back of my rig. Its driven by Simhub and allows me to feel bumps and traction loss.
@@Augustus222 is two enough? Two would be 4 but 4 would be quite expensive again. One in the front one in the rear on my 8020 is what I'm planning too

So when you've unboxed the boxes, and open the 2nd box... You mention a second mounting bracket. Looked a lot like a front F1 wing to me! ;)
I was just looking at this!! Think I will get the DOF Reality P3 for now, save up for this, then use the DOF just for flying.
DOF looks to be the best value for money for flights sims where rigidity is less important.

Did adjust the height of you screens to accommodate the extra height
We set the screen height with this in mind originally. So no, didn’t need to move them again.

The problem with the V3 is that your feet are not moving with your body we lost a lot of immersion . I prefer the sr2 but can we add a traction loss?

Hi Will, i wondering if you could help me with something. In the video i see you had to fabricate some aluminum plates to mount the px1 to the platform, can you remember the size of the plates? It's because I ordered a traction plus platform and I should arrive between the holidays but I want to make the aluminum plates in advance. It would be amazing if you could help me out. Unfortunately, the bigger you get the more idiots will come out of the woodwork. You do a great job and there's no reason to doubt that! It can be hard to tune out the negativity of people but just know you have tons of fans and supporters to outweigh that bad. Keep up the good work!

The new setup is getting more beast by the minute must be an awesome immersive experience I have a question for you will I am finally making a rather substantial leap from console to pc sim racing as I would like to run triples you have said that 32s are the sweet spot is that for recent hardware or most current hardware I have on order a gaming pc with

10900k
2 x 16gig dual channel ram
As I said substantial my current sim gear is
Fanatec
Cs 2.5 wheelbase
V3 pedals
Cs shifter and handbrake
Xbox drift wheel and
Formula v2 with podium paddle
And upgrading rig to p1x
My question is what size of screens could I potentially run with max performance and resolution I'd like a minimum of 32s at 4k also you looked well tired at the end of the wreckfest vid hope you didn't make Tom stay up really enjoy the Channel
Hey mate. Yeah I was shattered. Hadn’t slept. Still haven’t. Lol.
You should be ok to run triple 4K in iracing but others will struggle. You don’t need 4K on a 32 inch screen though. Better to go with 1440p screens. Will still look great and will run at much higher settings and frame rates.

Also I forgot to say in the traction loss video you mentioned you were looking at a panel in front of footrest to protect the control unit simlab do a checker plate panel for the p1x

You should Attach something like TrackIR to your Seat/Rig so that your view will change 1:1 with the traction loss. and you will have natural head turn if you get what im saying

I’m honestly not sure! We must be close! One of my concerns was tripping breakers. The traction platform maxes out at 350W so it’s not super thirsty. I’ve got the PC and screens running on a seperate circuit to the motion and wheel base, etc.
Please have your lil bro have a go in a dallara ir 01 race with no practice just to see his face.
This is probably the most expensive Simrig i‘ve ever seen at somebody’s home
There’s plenty way beyond this. Check out the High End Sim Racing Enthusiasts group on Facebook. This is nothing compared to a lot of those guys.

The problem with your set up is you have fixed screen, meaning when you gonna have traction loss you gonna rotate inside the car, which doesn't seems realistic, you would need either to fix the screen to the rig (but it's gonna be maybe too heavy) or go VR
We have a solution for that (we think). We'll soon find out. Still plenty of questions and concerns to be addressed.

Haha. Remember we used to have track cars and switched to sim racing. Too hard to find time for real racing with young kids, etc.

I figured there would be a mix of people interested in the build and interested in the first drive, and if I did it all in one it wouldn't really hit the spot for either group, plus it needs proper time sunk into it to get the settings right. We'll do our best to get the first drive video out in the next few days :)

Most of the gear is stuff we’ve been sent to review and this platform is on loan so I haven’t spent nearly as much as id I were doing it as a customer. But yeah it’s adding up even still. Easily spent more than I sold my BMW for back when I started.
